Maps with Meaningful Terrain

I dont see enough maps that are more than just a couple rocks and one thing for cover. Lets see some maps that aren't basic, lets see aquatic terrain, heightened terrain, breakable terrain!

this board sucks

Agreed, but I'll dump some of what I have anyway.

Hopefully this will be enough to get this thread going a bit more. I'm always on the lookout for neat battlemaps.

Thanks for the dump OP, I'll be saving those.
I'm gonna go look somewhere else for more of this since I need more for my campaign. I'll post them later if the thread is still up.

Not OP, but you're welcome. If this thread is still alive in the morning, I'll dump more.

How did you make those?

I'm not the guy but if I were to make one of those I would load the textures I need into a layer of my graphic program each and then use the layer masks to draw in the terrain where I need it. Bushes, trees and the sculpture you can add as alphachannel objects on top.

the 2nd one has elevation change, but I don't really know how to accurately show it

Looking for cave maps

Nice maps user, if the thread is still there when I get home I'll drop what I have.

Does anyone have any sci-fi bases and ruined cities?

Closest thing I got.

Ty

Attached: ieLffca.jpg (1680x1680, 519K)

uh...neat

Yeah, that's a strange thing to map out, and worse than that, it has no squares so basically completely useless.

Attached: 98472526_o.jpg (2048x1647, 2.04M)

Anyone has the set with this map in high res?

Attached: 05b7178b220eaf5296663afe27df2f6a.jpg (564x1459, 174K)

Whre did you get this map from? Is there more?

Jesus, how big are those squares supposed to be? If they're 5x5 that fire pit is FUCKING HUGE.

That's a european map. Those are meter squares.

Some site a week ago. Finding ruined cities and modern bases/ruins is still a fucking pain in the ass.

it is istfg
Roll20 is especially a pain in the ass because asset searches only yield results from rpg boards that have been dead since 2013, which you can't even access all the available content of to make something decent.

That's a fucking shame

Thank you.

Anyone have any that could fit into a Dark Sun campaign?

This is a fantastic collection I go to all the time

Jesus, man, thank you, these are excellent.

Must be part of some "Event" encounter. I found this map as well. Their are both part of Dungeon #190, which I don't have a copy of so I can't say for certain. Would love to know however.

Anything Warhammer/Renaissance/Gothic themed?

Seconding this

THANK YOU SO MUCH

Thank you, magnificent bastard.

A random "bridge" between two buildings that doesn't seem to serve any purpose.

Used this much stone for walls and towers, doesn't build a proper gatehouse, instead making wooden doors.

Why are rpg maps so often so stupid and nonsensical?

I'd suck your dick if you asked me to, thank you for this

Still waiting on you, user.

there are squares in that image, user

20 of them, might as well not have them. If a halfling can run across the map in under ten seconds, there's not enough squares.

anyone have any air encounter or random post apocalypse type maps.

There's one here

Attached: 1446057891057.jpg (1875x2000, 3.89M)

Trying to do an interior of this, these kinda maps are surprisingly harder than just hand drawn.

Also I think these tokens I'm using are supposed to be used in a program.

Here it is, the thing nobody asked for.

Sexy nonetheless.

Good work, user. I really need to learn how to use PS. Damn.

>I really need to learn how to use PS.
Actually using gimp because I'm a cheap bastard, you can see me getting an aneurysm with the second tower.

Either way its good practice.

Attached: hill country 1.jpg (4505x3605, 4M)

Gimp requires a little more finagling to do some more advanced things, but it really can be just about as good as Photoshop.

Bump

So, I run games on roll20, and most background maps have pre-existing grids on top of them. When they don't, it's great, but when they do, they interfere visually with the existing snap-to-grid grid that roll20 has (yes I know you can disable it... I don't want to.) I've resorted to most of the time just MS-Painting most of the combat backgrounds, an throwing up a "flavor image" in the upper corner, but having some maps without pre-existing grids would be great. I can see that some have already been posted here.... about half of which I've already used, but some are new, so thank you... however, if there were any more, that'd be awesome :)

Take time to line up the maps

Do you have this thing in high res?

Attached: mapofmistery6.png (1139x1520, 2.96M)

unfortunately no i saved it from Veeky Forums but if you search dnd/pathfinder map of mystery you can find a bunch more. I'm planning on using these six for a pathfinder campaign i'm running.

Go into any advanced painting program (photoshop, gimp, SAI, paint.net) and pick the select tool. Select one of these existing grids, take note of the size (put it in the name) and then in roll20 you just put it in the grid size.
