Since being a badguy makes your situation less precarious in the Warhammer 40k universe, does that mean that as the Tau become more and more grimdark and evil we'll begin to see them become less hanging on by a thread and instead see them more as a major threat?
They are both wrong for killing each other when they have the same immediate goal
Parker Barnes
Wait, do Tau have red eyes? I've always seen them in the lore art as having black or brown eyes.
For fuck's sake, GW needs to start getting consistent with this shit. I also have no idea what their feet are supposed to look like. On Fire Warriors, they clearly have hooves like a horse or a goat would. But then when you look at Ethereals and shit, they have like elephant feet, with the hooves basically just being big toenails.
>Not even looking through the scope or any sort of targeting assist system >Human body with no nose but vaguely tau-female nose slit symbol on forehead >No actual barrel, just an indent where muzzle should be -3/10 heretical smutt

Is there ever a time anyone should pick a stormbolter over a combi-plasma?
Leo Bailey
It was M'ao
Matthew Price
>Who is in the wrong here? Admech. >Which side does the Blackstone truly belong to? Necrons >This isn't right, that was ours! Give it back! We built it, Dammit! We're going to get played like damn fiddles, aren't we tomb-bros?
I picked the wrong picture, but I know for a fact that I have seen lore/fluff/art that says they have red eyes, and others that say they have black eyes. And that doesn't solve the discrepancy about their hooves.
Jacob Barnes
Care to give a source because forgive me that sounds super fruity.
>know for a fact that I have seen lore/fluff/art that says they have red eyes
Then give citations then.
Tyler Jones
Praise be to our glorious gate keeper of the people.
Adrian Russell
>Oh no! He overcharged and killed 4 marines, my plan is RUINED
Logan Clark
This pic was a good idea but kinda poorly executed. They need to have their mouths shut
Parker Cruz
Im trying to build a small blood angels list and I'm wondering how FnP saves stack. If I had a warlord with Gift of Foresight (6+ FnP), a Comapny Ancient with the Banner of Sacrifice relic (5+ FnP bubble), and nearby company veterans (get down mr warlord!)... would the following work?
>warlord fails an invuln save, takes a wound >takes his gift of foresight save (6+), fails >takes his banner of sacrifice save (5+), fails >nearby vet takes a mortal wound for him >vet then takes the banner of sacrifice save (5+), fails >he rolls for a 4+ to shoot an overcharged plasma pistol before he dies (non-relic company ancient aura)
Is there anything that would make that entire sequence not legal?
Its probably because they have a ton of the metal ones still in stock that they are trying to sell at 33 bucks apiece.
It's about time for GW to bite the bullet on that one.
Benjamin Barnes
I think the orks already had primorks.
Ayden Sanders
I was aiming for a company vet plasma squad with a cheapo gunline captain. Maybe not entriely meta, but it'll do. The consideration is more that tacs aren't meta and I would have expected most HQ units to be too specialised for a stormbolter unless they were on a budget and not syncing with any other unit except bolter/HBs
Sebastian Sullivan
burst cannon with 8 shots is going to kill a lot more than just 4 marines
are you thinking about the ion accelerator? >using a s9 gun to kill marines lol
Jackson Stewart
I think it works. It's the same with Archon warlord and Sslyth. If save fail, feel no pain then Sslyth take a Mortal wound on a 2+ that he can save with FNP 6+.
Austin Garcia
I knew there were going to be more Knights! Threads will forever be protected! Thanks. Just "mini-galaxies" wew.
hope you can help me guys, im fairly new to playing 40k, and im about to buy my first army, im going IG, im going to kitbash all my troops, so it looks like a mercenary army, but i just noticed the goliath gang have bigger bases then other guys, 32mm as opposed to 25mm i think. is that against the rules, since the standard guard comes on a 25mm base? i dont want to be cheating, or have any issues pop up while trying to play a game. thanks for any info
Zachary Mitchell
>the T°au suck so bade at close combat they have to be issued ceremonial saftey knives
Austin Morgan
why haen't you ditched the multi-lasers?
Nicholas Bell
Are they the ones with the spots on their head?
Looks cool
Michael Murphy
18*
And with markerlights its bs3+ rerolling 1s
Nicholas Perez
And for comparison, here is a relatively new Tau unit, modeled without red eyes, even though all previous art/minis had red eyes.
It's worse for you because if your unit is bubble wrapped in fight phase, you will have more trouble escaping because you cannot fall back through other enemy models. The larger the base, the easier it's made for enemy to bubble wrap you.

question about skitarri rangers/vanguard, would it be rules-legal to give the alpha a melee weapon, without replacing their primary with a pistol? i.e. ranger alpha w/ galvanic rifle in right hand, taser goad in left hand.
>The Ranger/Vanguard Alpha may take one item from the melee weapons list, and may replace thier rifle/carbine with one item from the pistols list
Cameron Perez
>We're going to get played like damn fiddles, aren't we tomb-bros? Are you referring to the meme that chaos writers have taken over GW in a coup and there is no actual way to win anymore to save the lore?
proof: pariahs
Christian Cooper
Go check one of their old codexes, I don't remember the edition but it was the really old one with like two battlesuits jumping down and an ethereal next to them or something. I think it was 3e
