What excuses have you heard players trying to give you for why they want their female character to be ridiculously busty? Are there any that you might possibly, under any circumstances, accept?
While we're at it, since female characters are such a divisive subject at the best of times: if you're already allowing a (probably male) player to play a female character, is it really that bad for them to make her a walking hentai cover? Is it fine if the player is female (because, from my personal experience, those aren't any less determined to make sure everyone knows just how titty their female character is)?
I have never had a player roll a, as you put it, "ridiculously busty" female character. So I've never needed to ask for any excuse.

Because I'm a slimy pathetic male who yearns to magical realm as a girl. I literally only do it for fetish, and the same goes for anyone else, whatever they say. There is literally no justifiable narrative reason to play as a female when you are a male IRL. There is no wriggling out of this. Pretending to be a girl for deep-rooted psycho-sexual reasons is all there is. If you can stand up and admit this then you've gone a long way into self-realization and should be commended for your honesty, even though you're as pathetic as I am.
So I'm fine with playing a girl, and with others who want to fantasize about being girls, because I'm aware of what I am and I'm not doing any harm to anyone else. Join me, my girl-playing brethren. Join me in self-honesty.

I'm with OP on this one, it strangely seems more common with women. I know this because I live in a country small enough that pretty much all ttrpger's will meet each other sooner or later at a con, so physically meeting someone you've played with online is not only a realistic possibility but basically inevitable. I don't know why it is (one of the girls wasn't even all that bad looking in real life so it couldn't have been some kind of convoluted wish fulfillment thing), but it did happen once your twice.

I've had multiple male-playing-female incidents, mostly from one dude who just likes playing ladies.
The only time it's been a specific thing that they emphasized their character's "assets" was that she's a bard and weaponizes her looks to get info from courtiers, contacts from her gigs, etc. It was only described to effect when the other PCs first met her to play up her performing costume, wasn't played in a particularly creepy way and it wasn't like he was ERPing or jacking it under the table, so nobody gave a shit.

The sad thing is that this is such a common occurrence it has an official name. Can't remember what it is right now, but it's like the name of a specific psychological situation where someone starts watching porn so much they no longer find it arousing, remedy this by watching more extreme porn, etc. until one day they realize they can no longer enjoy sex in real life because there are maybe 50 porn actresses in the world that still fit their definition of an arousing woman. I have never had a male player roll an obvious magic realm female character, or even a female character that is a slut. Usually sexuality is not even discussed, they do not talk about what how they dress in the morning and bathe, they are just adventurers like their fellow friends.
I think rolling a character that is not of your race/gender/sexuality/ideology can be, if done respectfully, an interesting way to explore an imaginary world through the eyes and experiences of someone else you will never be. As a DM I have to play all sorts of characters anyway, so I never really feel weird about rolling a character that is not "like me". Makes it more fun trying to figure out what they would do rather than doing something that I would do.

She was supposed to be a slightly ditzy, but motherly, mage. Having larger proportions lent itself to that mental image. It also served as an easy character trait for the GM to play off of when the party ran into some more unscrupulous types and the mage had to learn to deal with the less accommodating side of adventuring.
We have a woman at the table who is fairly well-endowed, and a few of her characters have either been decidedly flat, or busty and annoyed by how the ladies gets in the way of adventuring. Thankfully magical armor tends to shape itself to the wearer.

The only time this happened in my game was with a female player. In a high school drama campaign, she was playing the alpha-bitch cheerleader type and so had big boobs as part of her general 'blonde bombshell' look, the other was in a fantasy game where she was from the cultural equivalent of Scandinavia and insisted that it was just 'being realistic' for her character to be busty.

I've honestly never had a player specify that their character has giant tits. I've had players roll characters who were explicitly beautiful or hot, or wore low-cut tops and stockings under their robes, but I've not once had a player ask if their character can have E cups.

In all honesty, most of my players who end up using female characters default on the side of medium bust and pic related when it comes to their female characters and that's about there the conversation into it all ends before we start chucking dice and kicking in doors.

Honestly, I'd accept that. People trying to construct elaborate arguments to justify that kind of thing would probably make me less likely to listen.

The excuse I've always heard/used is that a high CON score means that the PC is extremely robust compared to the average person. For a woman PC this would mean that, ontop of gender neutral robustness like a good immune system, strong stomach, and high stamina, the PC would be able to handle child birth, pregnancy, and child rearing as easy as any other CON-based event. So naturally the PC would need wide hips, deposits of fat on their core body where it wouldn't hinder movement (hips, butt, chest) and a good amount of mammary tissue to making more milk than even twins could drink.
It makes sense, PCs are meant to be in the 99th percentile for their stats so having a high CON would make the PC look the picture of fertility. I wonder if that means my male paladin is hung like a donkey?
