Khorne and Slaanesh hate each others, but are also the two Gods that ally more often and more successfully in the lore. You know shit is going down when you see them together.
This reminds me I should finish and publish the rules we use in my LGS for them. Maybe other groups my find them useful.
>not a tourney player >enjoy aos vastly over nu40k >get roped into a small 1000pt tourney >play list below >hardcore undefeated >every unit had a chance to shine >had a blast and opponents were all really chill Murder elves are hardcore glass cannon, but hit like a tornado of knives.

>Enjoy AoS vastly over nu40k >AoS is just nu40k with slightly fewer rules
I'm not that guy, but have a similar view on things. AoS works because it's so stripped-down and simple; you just bang your models down on the table and play. It's a silly, fun mess-around wargame and doesn't try to be anything else. 8th edition 40k tries to do the same while also looking like it has the complexity of previous editions, and as a result ends up bloated and unwieldy. It feels like there's a lot to remember but nothing to actually think about. As a result I dropped 40k entirely and now play AoS for casual laid-back wargaming and Warmachine if I want something more complex and engaging.
It doesn't help that I hate all the fluff developments in 40k, which pushed me away from the game as well.
Gabriel Russell
It is simple, all it lacks is fixed wound values and not being able to target characters behind units.
Jordan Rivera
Game one, he activated and murdered a slaughter priest, game two, I teleported him onto a back objective (defend the pass) while my warlocks and witches pulled the protecting unit off it, and game 3 (scorched earth), I teleported him near a cygore throwing rocks from an objective and got an admittedly lucky charge roll. I originally took it for the Ld buff cause Mind Razor, but he frequently became a ballistic missile instead.
Michael Harris
>I hate all the fluff developments in 40k >he hates watching Billy G and his waifu take on all comers
Chase Cooper
i think he hates absolutely disgusting amount of Space Fagrines present in the setting.
Like in AoS SCE are just one faction, in 40k it's like 25 flavors of shitmarines
David Russell
Doesn't help that they released Super Marines and Super Grey Knights right out the gate of 8th dropping.
Daniel Russell
>all it lacks is fixed wound values explain, I don't really play yet
Ethan Campbell
Not this user but I feel like AoS is a "catch the objective and use your fuckin brain to keep it" game when 40k is "try to table your opponent with dakka and maybe you can try to catch an objective for lelz"
Jonathan Barnes
Also >muh Golden-Marines-People-say-that-are-not-marines-but-they-are
Joseph Cook
Frankly that's really the only thing keeping me in warhammer fantasy. Easy rules
Dominic Ramirez
all off these. In one faction.
Joshua Parker
Custodes got like 4 kits (Trajann, bikes, wardens and termies) and one of them is a named HQ so they are not the problem - that was a tiny release. Also Chad marines are actually neat - they look better than manlets imo. Honestly, as a casual player it's hard for me to find anything to be salty about in 40k. Still, gameplay-wise I prefer AoS over 40k
>well i can entrench to re-roll all save rolls the whole point of Retributors is they shit mortal wounds like nothing else bypassing your precious rerollable armor save completely.
Lucas Morales
Is strength = toughness? 4+ to wound. Is strength > toughness? 3+ to wound. Is strength => toughness x 2? 2+ to wound Is strength < toughness? 5+ to wound. Is strength =< toughness x 2? 6 to wound.
Cameron Edwards
whatever, go play your easy mode army then
Juan Baker
>saying this about the game where damage bleeds over
Grayson Garcia
If you could delete 3 armies in AoS, what would they be?
1. Shadow Blades 2. Ironweld Arsenal 3. Firebellies
Christian Allen
ah, that, like 40k, which i don't like... thanks for clarifying though
>shoot laser cannon capable of punching through super scifi space armor tanks >kills single guards man >throw drag grenade >kill 3
Lucas Fisher
>my lance can only impale one dude at a time >my hammer cant swing to crush several skulls at once >my dragons breath can only incinerate a single person at a time >my Bastilodon laserbeam cant pierce through several men with ease >my cannonball/ catapult can only smash one dude This is what you sound like.
Also >wanting to make hordes even better than they currently already are Oh, so your just a faggot.
Levi Stewart
>Legions of Nagash and Malign Portents >no DoK link Fucking Why?
Joseph Miller
Honestly, I feel like some things in 40k needed spill over. Not all weapons but some. Make anti-infantry weapons spill while anti-tank doesn't. So a grey knight's glaive could kill two imperial guard but the power fist will just evaporate one dude.
Noah Perez
can we just agree the removal of blast templates was awful.
Carson Ortiz
>huge apes as support >riding panthers >spears and drums everywhere >wardancers >hate Sylvaneth, Morathi and Bonesplittaz
Yes and no. Faggots who took twelve hours to space their dudes ruined templates
Thomas Taylor
is there an official we wuz kangz army?
Jordan Baker
oh yeah....... some people just hate fun. I would buy a new amazon's army is a second. I would go into debt for them. something about strong warrior ladies does things to me. No Daughters of Khaine are not the same thing the aesthetics really sell them.
