I doubt it. A third of the Grimtotem properly joined the Horde, the rest proceeded to get fucked in Stonetalon and then Magatha betrayed what was left and helped players kill off the leadership.

How did Stormgarde get so wrecked that by WOW it was overrun by crime syndicates, barbarians, and the horde. With all its settlements in ruins?

The need to regress and weaken humanity so that the Horde could appear to be reasonable rivals despite minimal effort in building up their holdings.
Basically, WoW devs wanted a "wild" Kalimdor so they didn't oversettle it with Orc Clans. But then the Alliance got too strong: que ruining every single remaining kingdom and sending Kul Tiras AWOL.

Chronicle 3 says they sent their forces to fight the scourge in Lordaeron (Nials says when she sends you to the Scarlet monastery that they used it to train their paladins before the scarlets took over)
After they were defeated the ogres, trolls and alterac bandits all attacked at once and took control of just over half of the city

How? The only time Illidan has returned to Azeroth from Outland was to attack Frozen Throne. He had no contact with rest of the elves, outside Maiev & co., who also got stuck in the Outland.

You don't need to spread out factions all over the world, if you keep them logical and in the same area. You could have Horde (Orcs, Tauren, Darkspear Trolls) in central Kalimdor, Empire/Sentinels/Nelves (Nelves, furbolgs, Children of Cenarius) in the northern Kalimdor, Alliance (Human, Dwarves, Gnomes) in the southern EK, Forsaken in the northern EK, Illidari (belves, naga, draenei) in the Outland and perhaps goblin cartels (goblins, ogres, and third race to balance them with others) in either southern Kalimdor, or on islands/south in general (anything between Booty Bay and Gadgetzan).

So Turalyon is the only character, whose original WC2 armor was not changed or retconned? Cool.
