Non regulation armor is probably a lot more likely to have weapons incorporated into the armor (think Bobba's integrated missile launcher, grappling gun, flamethrowers, Jango's dart gun, et-cetra). For military armors there will either be mostly stock armor with it's colors changed and a few unique pieces, or highly specialized armor with basic pieces significantly altered to preform different functions. Makeshift custom armor will incorporate pieces of whatever quality the user can find, while quality custom armor will incorporate the best pieces of the best available armors. Also, makeshift armor is most likely to prioritize the head and torso, since those are the most vital parts of the body, while a better custom armor will expand that protection to cover the whole body. So you might imagine someone who's budget is restricted to wear a Clone Wars era milsurp breastplate and helmet, they might have a few unique gadgets or utility tools but not much else, and the arms and legs left bare because the wearer couldn't afford anything more.

is there some big collection of pictures of Imperial ships so I can tell all the triangles apart?
Those profile view size comparisons aren't terribly helpful.

How many ranks in deception/charm should I give Krennic? Because he has an ability that cares about it and I want to use it on my players. Two sounds about right for what he pulls off in catalyst.
Good old fashioned Executor. Who needs gimmicks when you can just shoot the fuck out of them?
Colton Barnes
The Executor, I think it is. Vader's, from RotJ. Something about the size of Manhattan island just floating through space amuses me
Kevin Davis
Bellator for it's utility, but Executor for it's fame. No ship intro has ever topped that moment when the shadow of the Executor eclipses other SD's while the imperial march blares.
I want to say the Vengeance because I'm a huge DF/JKfag and I love the slim silhouette, but... I gotta be honest, its original appearance was a shittyass 90s CGI model, and the only illustration I'm aware of is garbage
So otherwise, I'll go with the classic. Nothing else really pushes my buttons like the Executor-class.
on the one hand a Sith GF is more likely to stab you with a lightsaber or force choke you if you have an argument, on the other hand Sith fashion is vastly superior to Jedi fashion in most eras of the franchise, so it's a pretty hard choice to make
On the one hand, being the personal adjutant/pilot to a Sith gf would be pretty fucking hot. But on the other hand, being the same to a Jedi gf would be much cozier (and safer).
I think it's less about size and more about lineage. Like they clearly share a common ancestry but since the Arquitens is never actually called an SD I don't think it qualifies.
It's like how not all apes are monkeys, or whatever.

It's a trick question. The answer is to always pick the sexy smuggler.
I just want everyone to appreciate this for a second: That fanfic was written IN RESPONSE to someone genuinely, unironically designing that fan-ship.
James Peterson
>As portrayed in KotOR Yes. >As portrayed in Karen Traviss' first couple of books Yes. >As portrayed in Karen Traviss' LotF books No. >As portrayed in TCW/Disney canon No.
I'm boring, and the plain Jedi attire really does something for me, so I'd go with a Jedi gf if forced to chose between the 2. But honestly, at this point, I'd probably be happy with a Sith deciding for some reason to keep me around
It's where Traviss went off the deep-end, both in general writing, as well as the Mandalorians in particular.
>Know how to fight Sith better than the Jedi >Apparently the most egalitarian society in the galaxy >They have the best armor >They have the best weapons >They have the best starfighters
Juan Robinson
Kuudere Jedi gf please
Cooper Richardson
Ma-Maybe a Kuudere Sith gf would be better bros
Noah Sanders
Now when they state the Starkiller Base's main weapon makes use of the process known as "Quintessence" are they referring to this?:
Is Traviss the same writer that did the Republic Commando novels where that jedi got pregnant by one of the clones she saw through the force as "children"???
Noah Murphy
Yes actually and also had the worst plot reason to make the commandos hate jedi.
Easton Scott
Yep. Uses dark energy to rip open sub-hyperspace which is why the beams were visible across the galaxy despite all logic saying they shouldn't have been.
Same one.
Chase Walker
>worst plot reason to make the commandos hate jedi. Well I haven't read her tripe and don't plan to, could you elaborate if you have a minute?
Aiden Lee
>Uses dark energy to rip open sub-hyperspace which is why the beams were visible across the galaxy despite all logic saying they shouldn't have been.
And why the Hosnian planets were so close together?
>Well I haven't read her tripe and don't plan to, could you elaborate if you have a minute?
I'll give you the quick run down. Order 66 happened whiles they were returning to corucant inside a gunship after she had given birth on one mandalorian planet I can't remember and she and the other commandos(including her husbando) saw the clones attacking the Jedi temple with one Jedi about to strike down a trooper in self defense but she jumped from the gunship to take the hit for the trooper. The Jedi saw he just hit another jedi panicked and ran away and then she died and the Commando blamed the Jedi ever since for the death of his wife. I'm paraphrasing but you can check it out on the wook.
What really sucks for me was that I wanted a clone and a Jedi to hook up but I got monkey's pawed hard
Ian Anderson
>I wanted a clone and a Jedi to hook up
But... why? That's like... the least Jedi thing to do. Yeah, they're not celibate, but still...
Isaac Richardson
>implying Rexsoka is not the most patrician of pairings
Logan Johnson
>But... why? That's like... the least Jedi thing to do. Yeah, they're not celibate, but still...
I like the idea of a Jedi and her trusted Clone just leaving and starting their own lives together okay? It was also why I was partially upset at the end of Defenders of the lost Temple
Oh right, -that- bit. I wasn't aware it ultra triggered the Commandos that much, that's just...stupid. Utterly. Cheers for explaining it.
I see that you too, have excellent taste.
Levi Williams
Do you think Traviss was projecting her fetishes onto the characters in the novel
Isaiah Powell
It wasn't quite like that. They weren't at the temple, they were on the streets overseeing a crowded security checkpoint. The Jedi was approaching the checkpoint posing as a civilian, and Etain sensed he was going to attack the (unaware) trooper. Pretty sure the Jedi was attacking preemptively, not in defense. Also it might have been one of the named clones that she knew? I can't remember.
In any case, only a few of the commandos defected. The next book is titled Imperial Commando, after all.
Carter Hill
That happened after that user. I remember cause they killed that jedi by stabbing him in the gut and then double tapping him in the head.
Jackson Richardson
yup that's the one
honestly I actually like that design unironically, although I won't deny that it is the epitome of silly either
Dominic Walker
No, she died at the bridge checkpoint. I'm certain of that.
Josiah Lewis
>No, she died at the bridge checkpoint. I'm certain of that.
>Etain Tur-Mukan was struck down and killed by a young Jedi Padawan when she tried to interpose herself between the Padawan and a clone trooper to keep the Padawan from attacking the trooper, who had been blocking his escape. After seeing her death, Darman told himself that she had not died, despite the fact that the sight of her being struck down replayed endlessly in his mind. He proceeded to admit to himself and Niner that she had died and then distracted himself from his loss by focusing on helping Niner, whose spine had been broken by a young Jedi who had been trying to escape from Imperial troops. Believing that Niner would be allowed to die by his superiors if no one was there to intervene for him, Darman decided to stay with Niner despite Niner's protests, instead of leaving him and fleeing to Mandalore with Skirata and the others. Darman summoned a medical evacuation craft to his location and, after it took off with him and Niner aboard, Darman repeatedly screamed Etain's name within his isolated helmet until he had worn out his vocal cords.
Isaac Barnes
This is the same director who made the collapse of a planet orbiting 40 Eridani A visible to an unaided observer on a planetoid barely within the galactic rim when he could have just shown them using a telescope. The spacewarping laser light show is actually less retarded.
Luis Wood
Where does that refute what I said?
Joseph Turner
You're right user, It didn't happen too far away from the temple but it was still at the check point. I was wrong
Kayden Turner
Also Can someone post an Image like traviss, I want to compare an image with her
According to the Anaxes War College System, Star Destroyers are approximately their own distinct weight class (1 km to 2 km in length), just below the battlecruiser weight class. For some reason, Anaxes has no distinct battleship weight class. Star Wars ship classification is confusing as balls because of the diversity of in-universe shipwrights and writers' lack of naval autism or coordination to ensure consistency. In terms of plot, I'd classify the ISD-II as the equivalent of an IRL battleship. It's a big, angry floating wall built to cockslap other warships into submission with its turbolasers.
Adrian Wood
>Star Destroyers are their own distinct weight class Why the fuck did I leave "approximately" there? I need to proofread this shit more.
Jaxson Cook
I don't really see it, but if it's there, it may have nothing to do with Traviss herself. She just described how the character looked, the artist most likely did the rest without her input.
Now, if you want a character of Traviss' that is almost certainly a self-insert, behold,
>Not only was having a special commando as a husband not enough she also wanted Canderous as well
I can't even stay mad because I would do the same If I was allowed to make a doughnut steel waifu. Only thing I need to worry about is that do I want cool blue pantoran Jedi waifu or Kuudere Selphi waifu
Connor Campbell
>No zeltron/theelin waifu Blue
Charles Flores
>united Sith front
That's like the antithesis to Sith though. They are, by nature and code, individualists. So if you want a smarter, united Sith, you'd have to change the Code which shouldn't be such blasphemy considering the Jedi did it several times during their existence, and they're meant to be the holy unchanging ones.
Jack Sanders
>He wouldn't want to press his lips against a cool blue pantoran Jedi waifu >He wants an unfaithful harlot zeltron as a waifu >He doesn't want kids with his theelin waifu
By that logic, there would never have been Sith empires ever, but they have existed, some of which for thousands of years consecutively.
>Peace is a lie, there is only passion. >Through passion, I gain strength. Their passion is a unified empire.
>Through strength, I gain power. Through the strength of a unified empire, they gain power.
>Through power, I gain victory. >Through victory, my chains are broken. >The Force shall free me. Through the power of a unified empire, they are victorious over the Republic and the Jedi.
Tyler Howard
>That's like the antithesis to Sith though. Not necessarily. Individualism does not mean you can't work together with somebody else, or even a group of people, if and when it's beneficial to you. In a lot of the stories where the sith exist as more than just a master and an apprentice you'll find that they're all a bunch of conniving bastards who want to fuck each other over, but when shit hits the fan they work together for long enough to resume the status quo, which is to say doing whatever the hell they want.. They're basically the mafia with lightsabers.
Wyatt Cox
>So if you want a smarter, united Sith, you'd have to change the Code which shouldn't be such blasphemy considering the Jedi did it several times during their existence, and they're meant to be the holy unchanging ones. To be fair, when you have the Jedi and Old Republic right next door, it's pretty easy to convince the Sith to focus on the common enemy for the time being so that they can backstab each other without outside interference later. There's also the added incentives of loot, plunder, personal conquest, slaves, reputation, and a good scrap. You treat a Sith army like you treat an Ork WAAAAGH. Make sure the fightiness meter never goes down and keep the boyz satisfied with fights and shiny gubbins.

Is giving an imperial governer some death trooper bodyguards overkill? Especially if the encounter is supposed to be the end of an arc?
Kayden Jones
Ehwot? I know that they changed the ship that found Thrawn from a Vic to a Ven, but what does that have to do with the Rebels version of the interdictor being larger than the Victory's 900 meters vs the old Immobilizer 418 being 600m?
Dylan Stewart
I feel like Deathtroopers are for galactic-level Imperial personnel, but I could see them as being used to protect a governor if he/she either has good ties in the military, or if the threat on his/her life is sufficient.
Brandon Wilson
Planet is basically going through a small scale war between the rebellion and the imperials that's going to come to a head soon (that head being them marching on the palace). This specific governor has ties to the Zann Consortium but the party could do away with those ties if they wanted to work with the Consortium.
Angel Perez
In Nucannon Deathtroopers are pretty much exclusively linked to the weapons research branch. So stuff like the Death Star or the Defender. Anything like that on the planet/in the system would warrant their presence in the Governor's retinue.
Logan Johnson
Is that from the new sourcebooks? Filoni said he just wanted to tie in R1 and thought Thrawn was a good candidate for them.
James Davis
I can understand the armor and weapons, but the rest no
Michael Gray
Sort of. They're under the command of Intelligence, and their MO is protective detail/escort of particularly high value assets (be they material, intel, or personnel) and occasional spec ops. This does result in them being assigned to a lot of weapons research, but that's not their only duty.
Thomas Gray
Why on earth would you think Traviss would have wanted her self-insert to be a Jedi, she hates Jedis with a passion.
Chase Reed
Offshoots are cheating.
Benjamin Rogers
I prefer Shel. Plus it also leaves Jarael for Alek.
