How do they fare in the 40k universe?

Helicopters are complex enough that anyone capable of making and maintaining them will just get told how to make valk's instead.

Just like IRL: they're fucking based. Maybe fix them up with thrust vectoring instead of rotors.

Try this mini from Khurasan, with a P-38 style twintail and a bigass jet engine. Business up front, party in the back. I don't know if they make it in 28mm, these pics are in 15mm.

i mean valkyries are still a thing and they do fine. Ive seen an Australian army tiger and some infantry/apc's do a simulated attack maneuver at an airshow when i was a teenager, the Tiger was insanely maneuverable, and can move deceptively fast. I think it would fuck some shit up

Wouldn't it just melt in seconds when a bunch of lasguns fire at it?

I've got a 1/48 Mil kit awaiting conversion, this makes me want to take it up nao.

Run with Elysian Drop Troops and add humanoid counts-as Sentinels for a Titanfall IG regiment.

How would modern vehicles fare in 40k if upgraded with 40k weapons and armor?

Strip an abrams down to brass tacks, throw on some plasteel and a current-gen cannon and it's fine.

Their defenses being worth jack shit is the major problem. Once you address that, it's an actual tank that puts function over form, which gives it an instant leg up on 40k's designs.

Stop making these threads.

No.

They can't move out of atmosphere, so the Imperial Navy doesn't use them.
Planetary forces, however, probably do.

They need a sci-fi name, like rotaplane or rotorwing.

Looks good for throwing Tau out of.

as a concept? too high maintenance/complex/dont work in space

in practice? not high tech enough to damage anything worthwhile

>The Valkyrie is a Vertical Takeoff and Landing (VTOL) airborne assault carrier used primarily by the Astra Militarum
How? Never saw one turning their turbines to vertical mode, they just float with faith in the Emperor as long as I know

They have sets of jet fussilages at the tips of their wings

>How do they fare in the 40k universe?

Seeing as they and their weapons are real, they should have no trouble destroying the painted Happy Meal Toys pathetic man-children whip their skippies to in gun porn fantasies.

Literall ork deffcopters.

>I don't understand the concept of fiction

This might've gotten a slight blow of air out of my nose if the OP had worded it differently, but you even quoted "in the 40k universe." No points awarded.

And I mean, I'm tired of crossover threads and power-wank too, but the consistent "lol 40k is for babies" response on what is basically the 40k containment board never makes a ton of sense to me either.

Ork choppa vs attack chopper ?

>what is basically the 40k containment board

If there truly was a 40K containment board this site would be a better place.

you are in the 40k containment board

Dear sweet newfag, where did you think you were?
