Most powerful? Probably Avatar. But that doesn't necessarily mean best, considering how expensive the thing is.
Zachary Brooks
Avatar if you ignore price/power balance. Otherwise, Tik and Cutter. The Iguana is also really nice for it's price.

Looking to get into a miniature game again and Infinity stands out. The theme, system and minis look great. My only experience years ago was a few 40k figures and the nightmares I had with the metal minis. A hassle to assemble, parts falling off, etc. Are the Infinity minis as hard to assemble?
Brandon Hughes
The new ones usually not. Since they went CAD, they improved a lot on it. Some older minis have left scares on some people though.
Leo Lopez
Nah. Some of the older ones are, but the new stuff tends to be easy.
Robert Walker
GW leadless metal is pretty pain in the ass to work with, brittle and hard. Metal that CB uses is much easier to work with. You still need to pin something occasionally, especially if it's older model. Newer ones usually go together well enough with just glue.
Michael Wood
Depends. Really old sculpts can be a pain in the ass unless you pin them, most newer ones (from Operation Icestorm onwards) have square CAD-modeled connectors that fit and keep the joint much better. Just remember to wash the minis of mold release agent.
Charles Carter
yup, you absolutely need to wash them first. On older models some scoring in usually enough, with pinning for more extreme situations (like antipode heads), and some models that are just a pain to assemble (Lupe fucking Balboa, for example).
Newer models stick together waaaaaaay better.
Josiah White
I might have to pick up Operation Icestorm to test the waters then. Thanks.
Julian Morris
Not particularly hard, until you find that one model that is holding a rifle with both hands that gives you a lot of trouble even though the other two of the same type didn't. But then you conquer, overcome, and move on and forget you even had the trouble. Screw you male Zhanying from Red Veil. I was warned of the Tuareg but she didn't give me trouble but you did.
Also, models both plastic and metal usually have a bit of a release agent still on them, so it's best to wash the modes with soap before assembling and priming as it makes both easier.
Avatar in terms of raw power, Cutter and Sphinx close seconds.
Tikbalang, Iguana, Gorgos (with Symbiomate), and Overdron in terms of balance of power, skills, price, and support.
Geckos for "Rule of Cool" and being the most iconic duo.
Su Jian and Achilles for being the closest pseudo-tags that's more value than most TAGs.
Jonathan Garcia
Icestorm, Red Veil* and most $100 army packs** are good entry points.
* Be aware that the Japanese sectorial just seceded from the Yu Jing faction. The ninjas stay so no minis lost from the big box, but it's something to know if you want cyber-samurai in your future-Asians. ** (except the Corregidor one, which doesn't work as a starter)

I hunger only for reduced bloat and increased variety. Strength is the concern of lesser beings. Swiss Guard is a chump.
Nolan Evans
I think a CoC option would be really cool to have, there's a lot of great aggressive lieutenant options that never see play. We already have a CoC that used to work and costs 35 points, but the rules are broken.
they reccomend purchases. Good news is, I'm an Al Hawwa blister away from playint starco!

Why don't Ariadnans just wear dog-warrior hides?3 ARM and total immunity for everyone.
Adrian Nelson
>AWOL Wu Ming working for Ikari (TN: Ikari means anger.) wut
Justin Parker
Honestly, I'm just waiting for the Kazak special character that does exactly that, like Ozzik Sturn. Even if it isn't a full set of hide armor, at least nice decorative fur motiffs on his uniform. I could see it on Vasily, too, the autistic dog-hating Line Kazak turned Spetsnaz / Bodyguard.
If I recall the unveiling video correctly, Bostria said that "for some reason, who knows" Wu Ming were working for Ikari.
I don't know, man.
Isaiah Green
I think they hijacked a prison ship.

We've unironically gotten the point where shit happens and legitimately gets described by the brains behind the operation as, "I dunno lmao," haven't we?

As someone who has ran a full Wildcat link alongside Gecko Duo and Intruder my advice would be: don't.
You quickly end up in a situation where you're not using anything in the list to the full effect due to the law of diminishing returns. I'd either knock the link down to Haris or use only one Gecko (or both) and define clear roles for the units: Gecko will always be midfield bully and emergency specialist, but both Wildcats and Intruder can be either active high burst attack pieces (Spitfire or HMG) or long range fire support (HRL or MSR). Hacker Intruder is a mistake, WIP14 notwithstanding. He pays too much for stuff that makes him an effective fighter (Camo and MSV2) to leave him in the back and he's too slow to go grab objectives. Leave that to Bandits, Tomcats and Morans. As for Hellcat, he's good for either AHD, Spitfire/HMG to use in an awkward (for your opponent) spot or a cheap Shotgun.
Your list also lacks any kind of good ARO piece. Panzerfaust Jaguars and Reaktion Zonds fill that role.
Also you really want an engineer if you're running TAGs, even disposable Geckos.
I'm kind of ok with the possibility of playing NA2 armies and mix-matching units from different factions, it's the half-assed throwaway line that irks me. I suppose they don't want to spoil too much from the book, but still, there sure has to be a better way to do that.
then again "there sure has to be a better way to do that" could be used to describe all last month's announcements.
Caleb Richardson
I want a Dog-Warrior special character that has killed a TAG and wears pieces of it as armor/trophies.
Adam Jones
>reverts into dogface form and is instantly crushed under the weight of the TAG parts
Colton Martinez
Why revert to dogface form? Ever?
James Cooper
It's like the Hulk, but instead he's a furry.
Isaiah Evans
unrelated, but... do devil dogs revert? I was under the impression they were all wolf all the time.
Mason Young
That's what you get when the team starts to make too much money and lives in a warcor hugbox
Adam Green
4-2 movement but 9 ARM 3 BTS here we come.
Ethan Wood
They all revert. Only exception is McMurrough, iirc Haqq fucked around with his body while he was working for them. All except the Kazak ones just get riled up and transform before the fighting starts.
Adrian Ward
Why don't Kazaks just do that? It seems kinda counter productive that your supersoldiers need to act suicidal before they can get to supersoldiering.
Jordan Thomas
Yes. All of the factions of Ariadna have the same dog-warriors, it's just how they are utilized is different. So the Kazaks just send the bastard in without transforming him so that they get more work out of him before he dies, letting him transform on the battlefield when the first bullet hits him. The Caledonian Dog-faces get in scrums and fist-fights with their mates before showing up on the front so Cameronians deploy already transformed because they've effectively taken that wound from their buds in brawls. The Devil Dogs probably just hype up and scream SEMPER FI over and over at their K-9 before going into battle to the point that they transform. And Durac is riding in an airborne vehicle which forces the shift -- and normally, them going completely fucking berserk, but he's had special training.
Only McMurrough is doesn't go back and that's because of an accidental with viral ammo.
Alexander Jenkins
Because, debil. That's another bullet the Dogface can take. Rather it be him than commander, blyat. Besides, smaller target that way. Can run through alleys and doorways that giant dogman cannot.
Kevin Perry
Three wounds nigga
Joseph Nguyen
oh nice, ty!
Does mcmurrogh enjoy the fact that he can't turn back? or does he have beef with haqqs for this?
James Anderson
Fuck if I know.
Camden Jones
Apparently Dog-Warriors cannot speak coherently (Santos was shot down by Gutier when he wanted changed Domovoi to speak). But then McMurrough is Scottish, so it's not really much of a difference.
Juan Cook
I wonder how long until Titty Dog-Warriors?
Angel Jackson
Well they scraped the proposed one for smoke and mirrors sooooo who knows?
Christopher Fisher
McMourrough resculpt. He has been hanging out an awful lot with Nomads recently.
Justin Gutierrez
Raging heroes has that were she-wolf if you want to get to a conversion.
Joshua Cook
I miss the days before budget cuts eliminated Monomines from the PanO Arsenal. The TR drone bloody had the things.
Jason King
Blame the military industrial complex. They constantly make illogical decisions based on lobbies and profit.
They should just use sign language like Snake-Eyes in GI Joe.
Isaiah Robinson
Keep in mind most Dog Warriors are not that well trained. I assume Devil Dogs use sign language and McMourrough learned to talk in dog form since he had to.
Colton Fisher
USAriadnian propoganda. Dog Warriors are masterfully trained in cheeki breeki and experts at the difficult to master art of Double Chain Rifles.
Nolan Lewis
Wait, so there's that weird rule about only having two Dog-Warrior like models inside an Ariadna army, excluding personalities. But Caledonia has AVA 3 Cameronians.
Charles Cook
According to army 3 Cameronians and McMurrough is legal.
Asher Scott
The question is, dogfaces in dog warrior form, what happens to their penis? Does it become all knoty and dog like, or just a human dick but bigger?
Joseph Lee
I think the note >The AVA of Camerionians replaces the AVA of Dog-Warriors is in effect here.
Dominic Young
In vanilla you can have 2 non-character dog warriors profiles In a sectorial it becomes 3 Its like most things increasing, but in vanilla the 3 standard ones share an ava
Carter Rodriguez
I don't think you want to hear what McMurrough has to say though.
Oh, I see the technicality. It specifies that the "no more than 2" is just for General armies, and doesn't apply to sectorials. So they just trick-fuck confusion by not deleting all of those notes which are completely irrelevant in a sectorial army.
Camden Taylor
Army in general can sometimes have really confusing notes. There was that time for a couple weeks when no one could figure out if Hafzas could join Druze/Kaplan links or not. And whenever a model has a Special Fireteam, it's usually not clear if they also have a non-special version of that fireteam unless you check the wiki/PDFs. For instance Umbras can form a Haris with Xeodrons, but they can't actually form a regular Umbra Haris despite having a Haris profile and enough AVA for it.
Ethan Walker
You end up using absolutely nothing as far as SWC goes, but the idea of running triple Cameronians + a 4-man link of Wulvers with Free Willy and McMurrough sounds hilarious. And I can say after playing against someone running that Wulver link, BS 15 +1 B T2 rifles are hilariously violent.

It's a pity that the only Paramedic the Scots get access to a Volunteer. I love using a Vet Kazak to plink a downed Dog-Warrior with the Medikit from range and getting to bring it back since even with the -3, you're still at Phy 13. Was hoping they'd have a Paramedic on fucking something other than the Volunteers.
Nathan Butler
RIP Vet Kazak doctor.
Josiah Garcia
Eh, you've got AVA 2 112's which can pick them up on 13's right next to them or on 11's at range. That shit's ok.
Samuel Murphy
Do people actually Paramedic guys? I've never used that skill before. It seems like such a waste. Though I guess since it's a short skill, I suppose you can move and then give it a go, if you're on your way to an objective or something anyways.
Owen Moore
All that gibberish really translates to something? Damn that show was great.
Adam Parker
I do it a lot as tohaa and on warbands.
Cooper Harris
I sometimes do. One time it even worked!
Matthew Martinez
Yeah, just as a Kazak player, I'm surprised that one of your beefier fucks don't have the Paramedic option.
While I do fucking hate it -- especially since he even had higher WIP than the actual Kazak Doktor, I do still love the fact that we've got blanket Mimetism now. But yeah, the Vet Kazak Doktor profile was fucking amazing, and I frown every time I look at the available profiles. Maybe it'll come back in AF, but I doubt it. A NWI Mimetism 4 ARM Doctor with an AP Rifle would just be too pure for this world.
I do since, as mentioned above, I run One Group Kazaks, and it's usually my second Vet Kazak. I tend to run at least one Dog-Warrior as a first turn blitz, and being able to use the Vet moving up into Midfield to pop it from 8" at an effective BS 16, then rolling against Phy 16-3? That shit is hilarious, and you've got a 65% chance that he gets back up.
Christian Turner
If I'm playing a sectorial (like JSA) and have a high PH target (like a Domaru) that's a bit too far for my doctor or servant bot to reach in one order, I use a paramedic to bring them back up, usually by shooting the medikit (while linked).
Often I use an AD Paramedic to drop in and rez a troop if my Doctor's too far from the mid field. Usually my Tiger Soldier, and because she's female I say the line "heroes never time" every time. Otherwise, I just use the paramedic status for the specialist option for objectives as the AHD is a bit too pricy or hackable.
Grayson Diaz
> Light nerds on fire > Shoot nerds with BS13 mimetism > Do objectives with WIP 14 > Can shoot people with medic guns if you have to Tiger Soldier Paramedic is MVP Number 1.
Paramedic's usually a good choice for 'incidental' pickups, especially part of a fireteam. Move with first half order in the direction you wanted to go. Take a pot shot with the medi-gun, and hopefully bring a guy back up. If not, no big deal. You're at worst, a 1 in 3. Running up to doctor is really only effective for expensive elite dudes. Even then, cube to almost guarentee pickup is pretty important.
Hunter Turner
He was lamenting his fate when he found out, being doomed to live as an even bugger outcast than before, maybe he has learned to live with it since.
Nolan Thomas
...Also, what the fuck? Where did you come from, little man? Cube Jaeger sounds pretty solid for more or less the same purpose. Airborne Infil Paramedic with Stealth and a BSG. Seems like a decent enough for a cheeki breeki medic to deal with Doggos.
Yep. And that's exactly why I love my Vet Kazak Paramedic. BS 13 as well, WIP 14 as well, with a Light Flamethrower, AP Rifle, and NWI, ARM 4, 4-4 MOV, Shock Immune, and Non-Hackable. No AD, but a hell of a lot meatier for just 10 points.
Camden Taylor
I initially thought Cube Jagers seemed really nice too, but that .5 SWC is actually sort of difficult to fit into lists. It's not massive, but you always end up giving something up to take them.
Nolan Gonzalez
Amusingly enough, it's pretty easy for me to fit into my shit. All of my Tankhunters are 1.5, my Spetsnaz are 1.5, but my Vet Kazak AP HMG Lt that I've openly run for years now is just 1, so I usually end up at exactly 5.5 SWC. With literally nothing but... I guess the Sniper Rifle Line Kazak to fill that gap.
Caleb Bennett
remember, shooting a medkit while in a link doesn't benefit from the +1 burst
Ayden Williams
Why not?
Easton Ward
Would also like to know this.
RAW seems to suggest they would.
They are treated as a BS weapon when used. And link team bonuses apply to all BS attacks.
Or am is this something that got FAQ'D at some point that I missed?
