What's your ride, omae? What work have you done? Riced out, gunned up, flying by, pedal to the metal, everything else is just static.

that's a great way to lose grip of your weapon and lose it omae

Does anyone have Shadows Down Under or Shadows in Focus: Morocco? They're not in the pastebin.

Attached: Cobalt.jpg (210x401, 132K)

Grease guns are mechanics tools used to grease things. (Also a ww2 era submachine gun that happened to look similar to that tool, but based on context I assume they mean a real grease gun here.)

>this chummer doesn't use a Supersoaker with a combination of grease and Ultraglide to disarm everyone he finds
Git gud

It's non-paranormal creatures. Fixed in Errata. this trick doesn't work in 5e

Attached: Critter Form Magical Girls.png (478x1076, 287K)

Why would you mix grease and Ultraglide? It's like watering down diesel.

Attached: Orc Mechanic.jpg (500x702, 84K)

It didn't work in 4e either unless you had a gm with thick coke bottle glasses.

because AFAIL Ultraglide is transparent
instead of grease you can also mix anything else with a strong color into it

>AFAIL
I swear this is unintentional

So building my first Mystic Adept.
What are some good spells to pick from, probably going to aim to be a melee stab stab.

Manablade
be sure to get yourself a sustaining focus in the shape of a hilt

Check the pdf share thread.

Won't that foci be prohibitively expensive.

>You're burning a service for literally every task down to moving your head or blinking.
Yeah, nah. Only if you're a complete fucking retard, and can't into broader tasks. One look at combat tasking should make that clear.

It's almost mandatory. If you don't buy it at chargen you'll want to buy it ASAP.

When doing Qi Foci I'm always going with tattoos, both for coolnes as well as for the paranoia of loosing an item thats worth tens of thousands and quite a bit of Karma.

IMO you should go big or go home with Foci

Well the limit for a sustaining combat focus is 4 at creation.
Do I really want to be casting this at only Force 4?

Get some debuffs and rely on Adept Powers for your stabbins.

Manablade is just a bit overpowered if you don't limit it, so if you still want to have a weapon made of magic consider Powerblade.

If you want to be real silly about it, get it as an Alchemic prep (use some weapon handle) with a Vault of Ages. So that way you can preserve some attempts at mid-force.

Well I kind of spent all my adapt points on improved reflexes. Should I not do that?
What debuffs should I look into?
What makes Manablade overpowered? I know it is a mana effect, but you know robots will laugh at your energy blade.

Where can I find info about alchemic prep and vault of ages?

I just realized i thought of the wrong thing. You're right.

Also nab combat sense from the adapt powers. I took two levels of improved reflexes, two levels of improved phys. attribute, two levels of combat senses, and something else I don't exactly recall.

Also mana and powerblade are overhyped. Just get a sword and make it a weapon focus.

>two levels of improved phys. attribute
One level of Attribute Boost is usually better

Grab the Heightened Concentration adept power at chargen, or soon afterwards. It will allow you to ignore Background Counts on all your physical abilities.

The gm said we can initiate at the start, so I snagged improved Reflexes 6.
Is there any reason not to do this, and just get improved attributes and the like through spells?
Also does improved Reflexes stack with increase reflexes?

>improved Reflexes 6.
considering that the max bonus you can get is +4 that's wasted.
>Also does improved Reflexes stack with increase reflexes?
I'd say no.

Post the current Spell and power selection you have

Magic and Powerpoints are both Currently 7
Spells
Powerblade
Powerbolt
Increase Reflexes
Heal
Silence
Double Image (Probably going to drop this I don't like it)
Improved Invisibility
Catfall
Critter Form (Raven)

Ritual
Alarm Ward

Adept Abilities
Astral Perception (With Adepts Way)
Enhanced Perception 2 (Mentor Spirit)
Improved Reflexes 6

>Improved Reflexes 6
Do you mean Improved Reflexes 3? Or Improved Physical Attribute (REA) 6?
>Critter Form (Raven)
Why not Shapechange?

Get yourself a level of Combat Sense and one level of Attribute Boost(AGI)

Oh shit I just realized that Improved Reflexes hard caps at 3, well that gives me more wiggle room with adept stuff.

>Do you mean Improved Reflexes 3? Or Improved Physical Attribute (REA) 6?
Naw I just didn't realize it capped at 3, I have not played Adepts much.
>Why not Shapechange?
Honestly just thematic.

More shit I've thought about 1930s Shadowrun because it refuses to leave my head:

>You're a crew in Dallas and your new greasemonkey (this version's equivalent of an engineer) is insanely talented and equally insanely insane. He is like 80% implied to be Howard Hughes.

>The Golden Age of Hollywood is even more cutthroat and backstabby, requiring runners to destroy sets and blackmail actors. Probably some plot hook here about a creative genius director who keeps sending your crew on seemingly inane and pointless runs that he promises all have to do with the movie he's making becoming 'perfect'.

>Your crew is hired by the Federal Department of Magic to ambush and kill Bonny & Clyde, two extremely dangerous mage outlaws. They had previously tried ambushing them in Bienville Parish but the two killed every cop there and stole their guns to boot.

>A dragon (not Dunkelzahn) is running for Governor of Louisiana. Keeps talking about sharing the wealth and making every man a king, and against your better judgement you've agreed to be part of his campaign's "war chest".

>Europe has more or less been completely swept over with socialist revolution. The ones that haven't have collapsed into civil wars, with only Switzerland and Belgium remaining unaffected. Working for one of the red countries doesn't pay good usually, but gets you a lot of contacts after the job's done. Lofwyr's currently in Switzerland, quietly hiring runners and buying up assets so he can snuff out these upstart bolsheviks all around him.

>Do not go to the Belgian Congo.

>China's smack dab in the middle of its warlord era, and the various cliques are willing to pay top dollar for any edge over their fellow generals.

>Do NOT got to the Belgian Congo.

So after some culling and editing this is what I have
Spells/Rituals 3 Remaining
Powerblade
Powerbolt
Heal
Improved Invisibility
Silence
Catfall
Shapechange
Ritual
Alarm Ward

Adept
0pp Remaining
Astral Perception (Adepts Way)
Combat Sense 2
Enhanced Perception 2 (Free Mentor Spirit)
Heightened Concentration
Improved Reflexes 3
Killing Hands

I can't see Lofwyr running away or going quiet. If the socialists are more active, it makes sense for Goldie to be leading the fascist counter-charge, standing defiantly against them while his agents undermine the Revolution from the inside.

Attached: Lofwyr.png (180x287, 57K)

But wouldn't that put Lofwy and Feuerschwinge in direct conflict? I doubt Feuerschwinge could be taken down by 1920s era tech anyways.

Put Combat Sense down to 1, get yourself Attribute Boost (AGI) 1 and maybe Rooting 1

Thanks, any recomendations on good Initiate powers for this? I am not sure if Adepts have some hidden gems or if I should just take Initiate powers geared for a mage.

Does your GM allow Forbidden Arcana?
If so, maybe take Harmonious Defense

His words were essentially.
>Do whatever.
Where would I find that, I will take a look and see if it makes sense.
Also took Raven as a Mentor spirit, I could see him leading someone into bad ideas.

Thinking of massively toning down the metatype base stats to justify having them be less expensive at chargen (15 karma for all non humans, their base stats are reduced to 2 +1s and Low-Light vision except for Trolls who get a +1 and +2 but no bonus quality; metavarians are costed to a bonus quality and maybe an additional +1 so probably 30)

>Where would I find that
Forbidden Arcana, it's in the OP Pastebin

Ah I thought it was a type of Initiation option or something not a book title.
Also any spirit recommendations for a custom tradition? I noticed there are a lot more now then the last time I played.
And thirdly, when did they start allowing MAG to be a drain resist stat, what the hell is this?

>allowing MAG to be a drain resist stat
that's only the Drake Tradition (WIL + MAG), which can only be taken by drakes.
Full Dragons meanwhile resist with MAG*2, so it's still toned down.
Also:
>And thirdly, when did they start allowing MAG to be a drain resist stat, what the hell is this?
CGL is a great fan of magicrun

A dragon getting shot down by a biplane is rad as hell, user.

Feur gets killed by metahumanity during a confused rampage, taken by surprise by early flak guns. Kaltenstein is furious and tries to get to her, but is stopped by Lofwyr and Nebelherr. Kalt goes to ground, but instead of the Black Forest he goes to Italy and co-opts the anarchist movement, teaching them things like alchemical bombs to kill drakes, while publishing a series of underground newspapers promoting a radical pro-metahuman and anti-dragon/anti-magic agenda (make everyone equal by killing everyone better than average).

Spain is a proxy war between the two sides.

Attached: Dragon Hunt.png (1028x786, 1.36M)

Would Feuershwinge even go on a rampage (that severe)? The ecological devastation wouldn't be as bad as in 2012.

The industrial revolution already happened. A lot of that damage would already be done.

Imagine waking up because some iron mine dug down into your lair, trying to claw your way free into clouds of coal smoke, coming out to see a landscape devastated by open pit mining, unrestricted runoff and zero concept of ecological preservation.

The 1920's was not a good time for environmental consciousness.

Most of germany in our timeline is still covered in large areas of forest. And especially so in 1930 (see pic related)
considering it's viewed from the top I don't think she will be that enraged.

Attached: Schierke-Wernigerode-Sachsen-Anhalt-Harz-AK-1931-Panorama-Landschaft.jpg (1600x1008, 290K)

>Most of germany in our timeline is still covered in large areas of forest

I'm also thinking the attempted elven takeover of Ireland only partially succeeds, and now it's split between Tír na nÓg and Free Ireland, which also acts as a proxy war.

Also, all kinds of freaky shit happening in Central America with none other than an awakened Sandinista kicking out the Yankees for a while. The FRCA is re-formed, and is about as stable as any country forcibly founded by a South American socialist mage with a cowboy hat.

>Harmonious Defense
Hrm, so it would allow you to have willpower+ Magic+Initiate Grade, In addition to your normal Counterspell dice as a free action, in addition to working as astral perception?

>In addition to your normal Counterspell dice
can MysAds even take Counterspelling?

Should I take Attribute boost for each physical stat or anything? And how many ranks should be good? I was thinking 2

How do the British Empire figure into Ireland? And what about globally? Is Ghandi's Salt March accompanied by deva spirits and Nartaki? Does the British government have specialist hermetics who seek to disrupt local tribal magics to keep them oppressed? Can we make this Bartimaeus?

Attached: Bartimaeus Graphic Novel.jpg (900x619, 242K)

It is a Sorcery skill so yes.

As an alternative, consider the Masking metamagic, if your game is set to be more black trenchcoat

If using english RAW: only for AGI and only one rank. Only AGI because it only gives additional dice, not change stuff like encumbrance or initiative. Only one rank because you roll MAG+Rank, with the Drain being equal to the Rank. so with only one rank you'll roll 8 dice, getting on average 2.66 hits, so about 3 more dice for shooting or stabbing, but only have to resist 1S

If also using german errata: consider using getting STR and AGI, since they made it increase weapon damage

I am just more making sure it works like how I am understanding, because it means I can dump astral perception, since I can just constantly activate this to astral perceive.
This seems hideously strong, having nearly 20 dispel dice sounds just broken. I think for that reason I may need to go with something else.

In that case consider the Masking metamagic (if more sneaky-beaky is wanted), Centering (for removing penalties), Absorption (for taking spells cast against you and using them to fuel yours) or just Power Point (for more adept powers

So any spirit recommendations for the different roles?

I'm running a Space based Shadowrun game I need to know, what the hell is the difference between a Semi-Ballistic and a Sub-Orbital spacecraft. No rulebook has been able to clarify it for me.

So far from what I gather it is:

Semiballistic = Apollo/Orion style space capsules and non-spaceplane reentry vehicles.
Suborbital = Shuttle style spaceplanes for point-to-point or orbital travel.

Does that make sense?
Also another question. Zurich-Orbital was originally the NASA Space Station Freedom (OTL International Space Station) right? So with all the modern additions and Rotunda for the Corporate Court does ZO still have an old NASA space station from the 1990s bolted onto one side? I think if that's the case it should be some orbiting museum of some kind of housing for CC staff. Wouldn't the old equipment there be a security weakness?

I need art for an all-cyclops running team my players are going up against. If y'all could post some shadowrun cyclopes - or, failing that, some cyclops art that could at least work in the setting - it would be appreciated.

(pic related is not one of them, but if there's one thing I've learned in my time on Veeky Forums, it's that people pay attention to monstergirl pics)

Attached: 2BDB0BAC-6EBF-4DCA-BA59-9125C3AF03E3.jpg (1200x1200, 153K)

Attached: sniper cyclops.jpg (1200x675, 60K)

Semiballistic vs. sub-orbital is defined IRL by nuance in how it flies. To my limited knowledge, a sub-orbital flight is basically something that goes up high enough to get out of the atmosphere, but comes back down before doing a full orbit, and can be fully controlled the whole way. A semiballistic is basically launching something at high speed, with minimal control in-flight except for emergencies - you work out a trajectory, blast off the payload, and trust the math to get where you need to go. You can be both suborbital and semiballistic, but SR separates the two into different kinds of travel. Both semiballistics and suborbitals are used for civilian travel for the wealthy, as well as cargo - it just depends how fast you want to go and how far out.
>Source: Rigger 3

And yes, the Z-O was originally the station Freedom (God bless Reagan). I don't know how much of it is left - the books have traditionally been pretty vague about the size and layout of Z-O. I don't know if it would be a security weakness, though; they haven't hooked the bank vaults up to the same system that runs 80-year-old electrical.

Is your team name Four-Eyes?

Checked, haven't found anything though. Is it actually in there or were you guessing?

Nah, but that'd be perfect if there were four of them (there are five).

I may cut their technomancer, because he wasn't gonna do much anyway and I want to use that name now >.>

No, now you have an even better nickname.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Five_Eyes

Did you look through da curated archive?

Not him, but I did. No dice. Either user was just a lazy sack throwing out the share thread suggestion without actually knowing what was there, or it's buried deep.

Attached: 1456025993417.jpg (236x273, 11K)

Curated, uncurated, Annex. Neither Shadows Down Under nor Shadows in Focus: Morocco to be found.

So can anyone help me with spirit choices?

Attached: sorceress_of_dragon_by_tenmoom-dast93b.jpg (800x1132, 235K)

I sort of want to play a man who got stuck in cryo stasis. You know, for like 30 years or something. Enough for his friends to get old and his wife to leave him.

Anyone have any ideas on how to build on this?
Also, am I a cheeky cunt if I stat him for a previous edition and hand the sheet to my GM?

>Also, am I a cheeky cunt if I stat him for a previous edition and hand the sheet to my GM?
Yes, but make sure you have a properly statted sheet on standby.

that is a fair compromise.

Pick the ones from your tradition, don't be a knob and try to get alternate ones. Task spirits are great for Manipulation, Fire and Guardian for Combat, nobody is good at Health because they don't have a Heal power, but you can't really go wrong with any selection.

Well I don't really like most of the traditions, any suggestions where to look for ones without a lot of dogmatic doctrine?

Attached: 295685c4bf3ea6f10b49b832aeccc860.jpg (564x752, 65K)

>am I a cheeky cunt if I stat him for a previous edition
If he's been an ice cube for 30 years he'll be pushing it to be a 1e character.

I'll roll on the allergy chart and everything!

There are tons. Vodou has the best spirit selection for minmaxing. Chaos is the lazy answer for no rules, Goddess Wicca also works, shamanism, Sioux and Vodou, Green and Red.

Read the books and make a choice.

Attached: 1509080696398.jpg (1280x1442, 279K)

Most of those still have their own Dogmas, and isnt Red a subset of the native american traditions?
Chaos would fit what I want yes, but something about it rubs me the wrong way, not sure what.

Red is just generic law of the jungle, no geographical stuff.

And part of magic is that you have to believe in something, believe in it strong enough that it can be a focus for your spells and spirits. Grow a spine and believe in something.

Chaos lets you pick why you study magic, it's literally the "anything else" option

Guys, tough question.
Communist supersoldier, or communist wizard rasputin?

Comuniust Supersoldier Wizard.

Polish Rasputin. Kurwa.

How would you even go about playing a rasputin?
Just have a HUGE pile of edge?
Have some low grade cyberware that brings you back every time you get to the brink of death?
I'm legit curious.

A saviour medkit would do the job. Or a biomonitor rigged to apply trauma patches and stim patches. Metabolic stasis power.

Make him a social adept rather than a full blown wizard. One who uses his powers to get invited to dinner parties and fuck the hostess on the table in front of everyone.

It depends on your character, but hermetic tradition is basically default mage. Basically, the only thing that binds hermetics is that they approach magic as a scientist would. Often they have a formal education, but that's not necessary.

Hermetic is the study magic because it's magic tradition and chaos is the do whatever the fuck you want tradition. Those are the only ones that fit, really.

>A dragon (not Dunkelzahn) is running for Governor of Louisiana.

Huey P. Long as a Great Dragon would certainly be an interesting twist on things.

He's a fascinating public figure.

Attached: 17453968_p18_master1200.jpg (844x900, 603K)

I like Fore Eyes, for a tracker/trailblazer type. Possibly rigger.

>And never, ever get in a street race with a dragon

What if the dragon turns up disguised as a car? Like, you're racing, and halfway through you note that the other car looks not like a regular car, but suspiciously like someone took a 40 tonne wizard-lizard and sticky taped some wheels on while it made 'broom broom' noises?

Trauma control system, pain editor, implanted medkit should get you most of the way there. Maybe double elastin and platelet factories too. Probably plastic or aluminium bone lacing and high body as well. Definitely social adept, with high con (seduction).

>a biomonitor rigged to apply trauma patches and stim patches.
Wait what? Can you do that by RAW?

No, but I figure it's just a chemical, so any gm is going to okay it. Failing that you could probably use industrial to build an autopatch applicator.

So, the most important part of a rasputin is seduction potential, right?
Or is survivability most important?
Because like, metatype is going to come into play here.

Rasputin was an elderly lunatic who was an absolute embarassment, but fucked random women in public while his wife looked on and pretended it was normal. And might have made the crown prince sick, it's unknown.

So, uh, maybe go with commanding voice and survivability. A rank of rapid healing and revenant adept, for example.

No, because that's what an autoinjector is for. You may also get into an argument with your GM about whether you can use an injector with stim/trauma patches.
u wot
Alexei was born with hemophilia and Rasputin died at 47, he wasn't an ork.

Attached: file.png (618x890, 627K)

Yes, but one of the things his opponents floated (which is, you know, half of fucking russia) was that ol' raspy was making the prince sick. Which is why he got sick every time Rasputin was sent away forever, for reals this time.

Also he was a notorious lecher, and had been known to cheat on his wife, with other women, in public. This is a man who got his dick out in a public restaurant when challenged on wether or not he was REALLY rasputin as a form of ID.

Patches are patches. Slow-release and all. Instead of an injector, make a reloading drone slap you with them.
