I see where you're coming from, but another large portion of a game is selling the fantasy of the setting. If a game "just works," but doesn't feel like the setting it is supposed to depict, people wouldn't play it. A system for a Napoleonic wouldn't necessarily work for 40k.

To mix up the complaints a bit, I feel like there's a lot of different things going on with these dudes, and it makes the army pretty inconsistent. Like there's a lot of different armour and helmet styles across the units that don't exactly cohere? Besides a few fins and crests the only thing tying em together is the paint job
