Starting with Warmahordes again after a long break, so completely new to mk3 and all this new shit. Despite this I tried to come up with a list for Siege 3
Could (and should) probably replace one or both of the Hammersmiths with Ironclads, but dammit they look so cool and every once in a while you get to combo-slam shit.
Now, my main question is, did I miss anything vital and/or have I taken something that I really shouldn't take?
Adam Ross
Ironclads will probably do better for Siege2.

So I’ve only played small skirmishes so far, but I’m really liking the game. I’m an avid collector more than a player, but I’m having fun on both sides of it.
My main army is Cygnar, I’ve got Maddox, two Ironclads, two Stormclads, a Lancer, Laddermore, a Journeyman, and a Squire. I’m angling to pick up a squad of Stormblades and a squad of Stormlances. What else should I be on the lookout for?
Secondary is Circle. I’ve go Tanith, a Gorax Rager, a Wild Argus, a Feral Warpwolf, and a squad of Reeves. I want more Warpwolves, especially Stalkers and a Loki. What else should I angle for?
I’ve got the Menoth and Skorne battleboxes too, but I’m not too impressed by them.

Since you're gravitating to Stormblades and Stormlances, take a look at the Storm Division theme list.
Circle side of things, Reeves can be used in The Wild Hunt theme lists, so take extra choices from there.
Unless you have very casual players wherever you are, eventually you'll find yourself building up theme lists. To avoid table-flip inducing rage later, stick to one or two themes so you won't end up with models that you cannot use rules-wise.

Thanks, mate. Another question, I was looking at Long Gunners and wondering, are they worth it? They seem cool, but I don’t know if I shouldn’t just pick up more Stormblades or Stormguard or whatever.
Blake Morris
I'm no Cygnar expert, someone else needs to tell if Heavy Metal theme list is any good, but I know that Long Gunners can only be included there. Storm Division units are: Field Mechanics, Silver Line Stormguard/Stormguard, Stormblade Infantry, Storm Lances , Stormsmith Grenadiers and Storm Towers and Trencher Combat Engineers.
Models that overlap Heavy Metal and Storm Division are Trencher Combat Engineers, Field Mechanics and from the solo side of things, Arlan Strangewayes, Journeyman Warcaster, Squire and Allison Jakes.

Storm Striders and Fireflies will serve you well in storm divsion, they synergise so well with all the electrical weapons.
Jose Cruz
Long gunners can be a useful back-of-zone holder in a heavy metal list, but they are expensive to field and die relatively easily. Trencher long gunners may be more expensive to field, but are harder to kill and fit into both heavy metal and gravedigger theme lists.

You'll probably want a second warcaster at some point, are there any playstyles or models that appeal to you in particular? With regards to what you already have, you'll definitely be well-served by some Storm Knight units since Maddox principally supports melee infantry. A Stormblade Captain is helpful if you've got more than a single unit. Stormsmith Grenadiers are also quite nifty - they fit into the Storm Division theme and gratefully accept Maddox's Snipe spell.
Additionally, you need a good warjack for your Journeyman to control. The best options here are ranged lights, so I'd recommend a Charger or a Hunter. A Firefly might also be good, though getting maximum use out of it might require playing farther forward than the Journeyman typically likes.
