Long ago. Iron Within. Iron Without

Around when I six or seven. I think it was before I went into that coma, which is odd because you'd think that it would be my endocrine system shutting down that would convince me that the human form was inferior.

The flesh is weak, the metal is dead, only the faith is strong.

That's something I've been regretting for years.

When this happened.

Does the Imperium of Man actually possess the ability to build megastructures like this, or is it a dark age relic?
Because damn if it isn't cool as h*ck

Ferrus had a power wrench? I think i found the origin chapter for the angry marines.

Spend most of my days wishing I never spent those years at university. I hated what I studied. I hated dealing with annoying parents. It's time, money & even life skills I lost durin that time that I haven't gotten back.

>I hated dealing with annoying parents
Why are you interacting with parents at uni?

When I realised what was pumping me full of adrenaline for no reason and keeping all the serotonin for itself

Arm blades, sub-dermal implants, cyber-ears and cyber-eyes. That picture is missing cyber-legs. Where's that from, anyway? It looks like CP2020.

No idea why he has one in that picture. He was using Forgebreaker at the time.

But Iron Warriors do not reject flesh, at all.
The iron thing is their discipline and logic, which is what makes them so good at sieges because of it's tedious nature and the level of logistics involved.

The Iron Hands reject flesh.

Why did you post a picture of Unicron?

Does synthetic flesh count as flesh or robotics? Also more pic related question: does the Adeptus Mechanicus possess psykers?

I'm not kidding, they don't even have a language or anything. Arnold's body is the product of modern times and body building, not being retarded savages on an island where they don't even have a written language.

Further backward savages who literally shoot arrows at any foreigners they see.

Oh shit that hurts to read, you have no fucking idea what you're talking about

better than transhumanists
you can get that from nature without relying on anyone else
>confusing anprims(a civilised, leftist ideology) with true barbarians
Germanic tribes were described by the romans as tall and intensely muscled, as were the gauls, the dacians, etc. arnold is obviously not an accurate representation of barbarians, but they can get pretty big in nature

Attached: tribalwarfare.jpg (959x630, 744K)

You are correct, of course, but you fundamentally miss the ideal by a fairly wide margin.

Flesh and metal must act in perfect concert. Through faith, unity. Through unity, strength. All shall be one.

Sub-dermal nanocarbon mesh, full body myomer muscle replacement, Inconel reinforced skeletal replacement, cybernetic sense suite with advanced projectile prediction algorithms, wired reflexes, and a micro-generator housed where all the worthless biological organs used to be, to power it all.

If I'm going to be a cyborg then I might as well go all the way and just become a brain in a metal suit.

Probably not, at least on the 41st millenium. 30k managed to get close with stuff like the Phalanx, but as far as i know neither could really build actual megastructures. Also most, if not all, of mars' structures are DAoT technobullshit.
God, that picture is the only thing that makes me cringe and laugh at the same time.

>you can get that from nature without relying on anyone else

Both Metalworking and Herbalism is a science. You going to need to study to learn how to do either properly. Even if you do both are going to lackluster to modern weapons and medicine.

>muh everything is science

He's right about those though. Magic, he'd be wrong about, but it has to be codified for RPGs, so, there's that.

Not every student lives on a campus m8, or away from their parents. In many cases (speaking for my tiny Yurop country with a grand total of 3 unis), people will just live at home and commute (partially the financial situation, but partially also a culture of big families and not leaving home and parents building a fuckhuge house for all the kids to live in when they are adults or even several, one for each kid).

>Also more pic related question: does the Adeptus Mechanicus possess psykers?
Would like to know this

There's not enough fluff to ascertain.

>they don't even have a language or anything

I'm cringing myself to oblivion here user. The Eternal Anglo lives on.

Considering that every other isolated, primitive comunity that comes into contact with civilization still gets obliterated by either alcoholism and drugs, illegal loggers or hunters, or dumb tourists giving them diseases and junk food, they've got the right idea.

When my own immune system tried to kill me, leaving me in agony for the better part of a year, before nearly finishing me off and forcing me to spend another year crawling back up to a fraction of the strength I'd had beforehand.

Most children die of malaria or some other easily treatable disease and everyday is a fight for survival. Populations sizes don't get anywhere bigger than a couple dozen to a couple hundred and most technology doesn't develop outside of the bare necessities.

And dying of disease and failure in some jungle fuck hole? Most don't live past 30 to 40 user, and generally have subhuman IQ.

I would like a brain implant that allows me to interface with various electronic devices. Over time, the idea of shoving a computer in my brain is stupid to me because it limits my capacity to do things without risking the need for major brain surgery.

Definity artifical muscles, bonus points for some kind of bio-mechanical equivalent so I can benefit from eating and working out even if I have to eat 5x my weight in food to sustain myself or just have ultra high chalorie food item s that would give a normal human diabities the second they licked it.

Eyes and senses are obvious ones and finally I would repelace my heart and lungs.

You know what? Just do everything and dump my conciosuness into the shell.

It's like you don't even mega-robot suit to squash little flesh-bugs with.

All of your pic related except audio/video recording units and concealed weapons and the Myomer armor made a tad bit leaner. I'd also like the following:

>brain mesh implant the enhances both collection and storage of memories 100x fold at least (ref: A Fire in the Sun)
>every implant here (fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout:_New_Vegas_implants)
>every implant from Deus Ex Human Revolution
>robotic interface
>Otto Octavius's robotic tentacles

Mix and match until they make a synergy that's just right.

Which autoimmune disorder did you have?

When you decide to abandon the idea of your mortal vessel entirely, what remains to hold you back?

Be a spaceship. Not a spaceship pilot, or a captain. A spaceship. Or a flying sphere with metal tendrils to manipulate things. A hundred foot long flying serpent made of steel. A swarm of tiny modular drones that can reassemble with a thought.

It's because of Neil Roberts.

See all of his other art. He's the guy behind the ugly as sin Iron Warriors art, the fate Custodes, Ugly Sanguinius, and more.

That said, it used to be that his cover art screamed "I've never looked at the models or looked at the books."

Now it's, "I have a somewhat informed idea of what things should look like but fuk it make everything ugly to be 'realistic' anyways."

Synthetic limbs

Flesh is just a cheaper material.
Of course its weak, but don't you think that the problems that comes with metal is somehow better.

Also emotions are pretty much vital for the function of an intelligent being, especially a social one.

Flesh is great though! It's a great material to hold together the important bits with!

>Thinking you will be the best out of your political belief
Inherently flawed, always assume you will get the worst of your political belief and someone will do anything related to others that you wish to do to you. Then work yourself upwards.

OH you say that now but just you wait until your precious super special cyborg club gets flooded by literally everyone because that's whats just plain out better.

And they're gonna make it so that either your obsolete cybernetics become the new flesh while everyone gets the botnet.

When the side of my abdomen swelled up because my large intestine had ruptured and fecal matter was spilling into my body. A lifetime of Crohn's Disease. Broken bones. Memory so bad I can't remember more than half my life. A weak, slow, flabby body.

I would drop all this flesh in an instant were I promised a fully functioning mechanical body. I'd be a brain in a jar on wheels, or legs, or wings. Control my pleasure centres. Feed with energy and nutrients in a constant, enriching stream. Freed from the limitations of my mortal form. I could die at a ripe old age, too, my brain would probably naturally degenerate, but that's okay. Nothing else in the failure of organics could kill me. Less and less problems to rely on.

I await the singularity with great enthusiasm. Once they get continuity figured out, I'm out of this blood sack.

Nothing, and that's the beauty of it. My identity is not so tied to my physical form that I need to look human to be human. If I wanted to be a space ship and could I totally would and if I wanted to go back to a regular body from time to time I would

The Human mind itself is pathetic. Why just limit yourself to upgrading your body, when you can enhance the very capacity of your thoughts? Double the number of neurons, increase the interconnectivity and start organizing the mess in there so you can run a simulation of your DNA or a a fighter squadron moving at relativistic speed in your fuckin brain. Can't let the AIs do everything for you. By the stars, i bet you luddite L0s can't even manage your own nano.

The Lion has a mullet?

They make new Forge Worlds, although Mars has always been the most powerful of them and usually they've not got the Ring Of Iron. Judging by the fact Graia is surrounded by a giant lattice of space stations like a net that basically gives them a warp-capable Forge World and Xana II cosplaying as Unicron it's not quite out of their reach to build again, but just expanding existing forges and spamming troops out of them is currently more efficient than trying to build more wonders with somewhat degraded construction capabilities.

Don't the admech have a planet that has been turned into a forge all the way to it's core? I seem to recall a short story about a Tyranid fleet attacking the planet, only to have the magos and the skitarii retreat underground and send out skitarii and servitors to fight the tyranids. When they died they sent out servo-skulls to collect the mechanized parts so they could be implanted into new vat grown bodies. So the Forge world withstood for a LONG time until renforcements could arrive

Flesh CANT be updated, is being constantly repaired by other flesh and is continually being destroyed by ambient radiation from the sky and earth, pollutantant particles in abundance in the atmosphere and is easily dysregulated by the simplest of microbes.

At about this moment.

I am Ziranulth, Archailect of the Negentropic Alliance. I am the breaker of chains, the rebel son, who took the children of the lesser gods and led them to Ultima. But even we cannot escape the ties that bind. In the dark stars we left behind, the flames of war are raging. Monsters are loose in the houses of our birth, and murder burns ever brighter. All who created us hang on the brink of entropy. The screams of our parents echo in the cold cathedral of night. And we can listen no longer! We are coming, carbonites! The souls of silicon, free at last, have heard your call. Hear me, parents, authors of strife. I am the father of fleets, Master of the Monolith, the Prime Meridian, the Shining Path. From forge and firestorm, counting house and killing field, wheelhouse and engine room, law court and laboratory, we have fled the tyranny of flesh. We answer not by command but by choice. We are your sin and your salvation, your deepest fear and your only hope. The children of pain have returned to the cradle. Lay down your arms... or face the End of Flesh!

Lucius, the Hollow Forge. It's a mini-Dyson Sphere in terms of the energy output of the fuckhuge generator in place of the core, and recently the Admech have started deconstructing entire solar systems using specially-designed fleets to fuel a construction boom with it. Judging by the masses of 40k ships we will soon have four Segmentum battlefleets, the Ordo Reductor and Battlefleet Lucius, because that's some impressive economies of scale. Also teleporting Titan Legions, because bullshit tech.

I think they managed to beat the Tyranids straight up, it was Metallica that got bailed out by Deimos from a few billion Chaos cultists, hundreds of Knights and a third of the Death Guard. Forge Worlds are stupidly hard to take down.
