repost from last thread, I'm new and looking for a yu jing list I can play a lot to get better. I think we are starting at 200pts and I have all red veil and beyond to myself to proxy if needed
Ryder Russell
>new rasyat >rumoured raicho >updated kurgats Could it be..A completely updated line?! Just need new hungries and I think that's it.
Brandon Lee
reposting my list too. tryna get into ISS cheap, though I do have 4 kuang shi and su jian along with this. can proxy sforza and the sophotect. any suggestions for this list?
If you're just learning the game, how about just using Red Veil and Beyond? Just start with something like this and get a grip of things EwBgjAPgzCIRYCkZgBZGpMRBCJL1Ns9k0Mtd0UB2DKAVlylIDYMy9swHFgAOVIzz4ohan1y1uIDPWYABRUA=
Then when you're more comfortable, feel free to buy Shaolin Monks, some remote boxes, and the upcoming support pack to toss things up a bit and round out your lists. The Weibing remote is a great overall toolbox. The Husong Guardian a reactive tool you want to know how to field/deploy and counter. The Rui Shi's almost a must have MSV2. The Panguling can refill mines/Krazy Koalas.
After that, get more of what you like. Kanren's pretty dope. Yan Huo, Hac Tao, and Su-Jian are great centerpieces.
Josiah Hernandez
>Panguling can refill mines/Krazy Koalas You mean MadTraps. No KrazyKoalas around anymore.
Justin Phillips
They got repacked not too long ago.
Angel James
Repack of old shit is still old shit.
Besides, I want to see them redesigned by this new guy.
Dylan Hall
But would they have repacked them if they were planning to replace them reasonably soon?
Brandon Thompson
Would they paint a Shikami in vanilla colors if they were planning to remove them from Yu Jing reasonably soon?
Eli Russell
To screw yj players out of money by having them buy a unit they can't use.
Evan Murphy
As if the Mad Traps aren't just a variation of Crazy Koalas.
But oh shoot, you're right. Forgot about the secession for a moment there and you caught me.
Oh well, still useful for the EVO boost for hacking, and the Tiger Soldier's drop
Nathan Cook
Hey Veeky Forums. I'm thinking of starting a Tunguska army once they come out and I'm curious. What units are considered officially Tunguska currently out?
>As if the Mad Traps aren't just a variation of Crazy Koalas. They are, but it's not in the name. I think the blanket term is perimeter weapons or some shit now.
Grenzers (only in starter), Spektrs, Kriza Boracs (only in Beyond RV), Szalamandra, and Interventors. Technically Securitate too, but don't buy those.
Aaron Perez
>HMGs can be carried let alone fired from the shoulder uh, spaniards?
Lucas Jenkins
>this guy can't shoulder a Vickers No weaklings allowed.
Josiah Stewart
Translation error from 1e that carried over. In spanish it's just a machine gun. This has been addressed so many times it probably belongs on the bingo card
Kevin Phillips
Its been a while since I've played but are *all* guys with hacking devices specialists?
>Tunguska is a getting a sectorial ay finally >Most fucking blatant "cyber punk" sectorial to date >Models all evoke this theme with their designs and overall theme
Be still my beating heart. I'm sire they be the relative elites out of the nomads sectorials but God damn it'll be worth it.
Jordan Fisher
including assault/killer/defensive?
Alexander Reed
>tfw no crossfaction rules >you will never have suppressing fire be done by big, sexy, manly morats convinced by O-12 to work for them instead of the EI >you and your troop will never admire glistening morat abs as they do PT in the hot summer sun >you will never fight the yu jing you're bunked with over the right to ask a morat out for a date >you will never lie awake in bed, forever alone, as it turns out they already married the Nomad >the filthy fucking Nomad
I wouldnt Guija honestly. Replace with a Daofei and Zuyong.
Jackson Thomas
You gotta pick an attack piece, and think about what you need to help keep it alive. You also probably need something to push buttons, unless you're playing a straight murder scenario.
Brody Miller
Drop that MR Zuyong my dude. Get better cheaper things so you at least hit 10 orders.
Jordan Jones
Do any of these supplements allow for morat boning
Jeremiah Thompson
Or playing something that isn't the turbo-shitty ITS. YAMS and 20x20 don't rely on typical Specialists.
Alexander Rivera
There's Morat stat blocks in the CRB. Morat chargen will be in the CA book.
Aiden Perez
>tfw they've got Morats in before pupniks and Morlock Gruppe members
Kevin Green
Human faction books are wave 2 instead of wave 3 for the alien ones, and Morats are a major element of one of the factions' army, while UFKs and Morlocks are but single units.
Ethan Lee
You're suggesting this is a bad thing? Self insert furry Pupnik characters are going to be really great to see for sure...
Logan Young
but it looks so cool
I wouldn't have this problem if I played tunguska, love me some szalamandra resculpt
but he looks so cool
can anyone come up with a semi-invincibles list that isn't auto-lose?
More realistically just run a decent Vanilla list. Always have two Guilangs, run a Rui Shi or Hsien, have 2 monks, consider a Tiger Soldier, look at good stand alone HI like HMRC Yan Huo, Spitfire or hacker Dao Fei, Killer Hacker Hac Tao, also obvious lt+Command Hac Tao is also fun.
Jaxson King
>Wu Ming ISS list lol. fug
I love the invincible models and I wish it made any sort of sense to bring them all
If you're willing to use the Vanilla exclusive tools then you can run Invincible HI no prob.
In my mind Guilangs, Monks, and the fear of Tiger Soldiers/Daofei/Hax Tao are indispensible tools for Vanilla Yu Jing.
Some good Invincible profiles are Hac Tao any Daofei Spitfire or AHD Zuyong HMG and LT HMG Yan Huo HRMC and Neurocinetics
If you're willing to reach out to ISS Hsien Crane Su Jian
These are great too.
Christopher Collins
No, all of those are great purchases. You have some vanilla models you wont get much use from or you could say those are a head start on IA later.
I personally suggest these next purchases. -Other Kanren Sculpt -Some Aleph model to proxy as sophotect -Generic Drones -Rui Shi drone box
Christopher Foster
If you plan to play both Vanilla and ISS then get Beyond Red Veil minis.
Ethan Sullivan
>can anyone come up with a semi-invincibles list that isn't auto-lose? Zuyong AMK, Zuyong FO, Hac Tao XO HMG, Yan Huo tinbot, fill out with cheap useful stuff and specialists. Or Zuyong FO, Yan Huo HRMC, Yan Huo tinbot, Zuyong HMG (or even AMK if you're willing to go balls out). There's a few ways to do it. Depends on if you specifically want Invincibles or HI in general. The latter opens up many more options and is barely even a gimmick, it's just a pretty normal way of playing.
Not particularly. Vanilla starter is only good for 1 unit in ISS until you need to start proxying though.
Easton Kelly
If you're playing anything but Ariadna, make sure you have a hacker to help protect those boys. Otherwise, that 3 BTS is gonna be the death of you.
Ethan Sanchez
I wonder what the odds are of CB actually giving us a Vet Kazak Haris.
Liam Thompson
Even if they dont end up in IA sectorial the fluff for Daofei says they are in the "The Tactical Section of the Invincible Army" so I'd say IA themed Vanilla lists can have Daofei.
Ryan Lee
That hadn’t occurred to me, great idea
I figured I could use the zhanshi as celestial guard, since they’re nearly identical now besides helmets
Specifically was going to use one helmetless zhanshi as that dire foes celestial guard gui feng
Mostly got it because Hsien, tiger soldier and Zuyong look so fucking cool
Lucas Peterson
Does anyone have pictures of spaceships? I haven't seen enough ships from infinity.
Caleb Hall
There's that picture of the Circular, but I don't think there's that much else. I imagine there'll be a few in the space warfare chapters of the GM Guide once it's done in full.
Joseph Bennett
There's a few for the last BoW Operation made by one of their contract artists. But they're not really that much. There's also a pic in Paradiso of a morat capital ship missile-swarming an O-12 station.
Jordan Wilson
There's the pics of the Dolly Dagger from Outrage...
Isaac Diaz
And Don Peyote from Wotan.
Daniel Rodriguez
When will ALEPH officially become the second biggest faction?
Chase White
When O-12 delegalizes Yu Jing.
Landon Jones
When CB introduces a dozen more greek characters.
Landon Bell
>ALEPH: 46 units >Ariadna: 48 units >CA: 52 units >Haqqislam: 45 units >Mercs/NA2: 48 units >Nomads: 46 units (not including Hollow Men & Hecklers) >PanO: 50 units >Tohaa: 24 units >Yu Jing: 34 units They need another 6 units to be tied for first with the CA.
Ryder Young
>>Mercs/NA2: 48 units Whoops, 45. I'd left the Haramaki, Raiden, and Asuka in the list.
Camden Fisher
New Rasyat is hype
John Walker
F
Asher Taylor
For more useless stats, here's a list of units that are in Army, but have yet to be released in a hard-copy for N3 (Uprising is being counted here, but only for the Dire Foes and NA2 stuff). >ALEPH: 2 units Danavas, Thamyris >Ariadna: 8 units Jacques Bruant, Dozers, Loup-Garous, Metros, Zouaves, Briscards,Mirage-5, Chasseurs >CA: 9 units Bit & KISS!, Sheskiin, Seed-Soldiers, Cadmus, Aswangs, Haiduks, Gwailos, Caliban, Ko Dali >Haqq: 3 units Ghazi, Halqa, Al Fasid >Mercs: 3 units Warcors, Lunah, McMurrough >Nomads: 3 units Securitate, Kriza Boracs, Szalamandra >PanO: 3 units Kamau, Tech-Bees, Jotum
Carson Fisher
CB have said that they aren't putting profiles in books anymore. They're only on army.
I'm pretty sure uprising has no profiles in it at all.
Nathaniel Brooks
can someone confirm this? someone should have the book from adepticon, right?
Jacob Perry
I was running off fluff.
Mason Kelly
>CB have said that they aren't putting profiles in books anymore Oh, so now they have no excuse for not fixing Posthumans/Ghazis/Symbiomates before the next book :^)
Aiden Taylor
Fixing? What's wrong with Gazi/Symbiomates/Posthumans?
You're going to be complaining about Swiss Guards next.
Dylan Edwards
The Swiss is problematic because it shuts down a lot of other profiles. Aquila, ORC, virtually any other HI hitter in vanilla. Not sure if it should be nerfed, but it locks out space for diversity.
David Martinez
Kek jokes apart cross faction rules killed WHFB Better to relegate them to mercenary companies and special events
Gavin Lewis
Swiss Guard aren't max AVA autoincludes in every list. They're costed more appropriately, and have one gimmick with a bunch of counters.
Ghazi are far and away the best warbands in the game, 5pts for the ability to attack through walls and threaten big stuff from 8" while having multiple defensive tools with dogged and smoke. Fix is easy, just drop the smoke grenades and suddenly the incredibly powerful area denial tool requires some actual investment to use.
Modern Symbiomates are awful, 40k tier dogshit that should never have made it past the first draft. It's the power to completely nullify an enemy attack with no questions asked, and can be placed on any (often already somewhat undercosted) 2 wound unit. There's a grand total of 1 way around it, and it's purely luck-based. It costs 21 points for 2 of them and they come on a linkable CoC troop. There's no decision to be made there by either party. The enemy sets up an attack, you use the symbiomate, the enemy sets up another attack. It adds nothing of value to the game, in fact one could argue that it takes away something by competing with the far more interesting and creative but mechanically inferior symbiobombs, which nobody takes because they'd be actively gimping themselves.
Posthumans are just underpriced. That's their deal. Not as bad as the others, but it upsets internal balance far too much for my liking. Jumper point discount should be 10 or so points, not 20+ or whatever the fuck they have now.
Hac Tao doesn't do the same to YJ's roster. It's more of a combination of PanO's HI roster being fucked up and PanO's playerbase usually being even more unwilling to try new things than everyone else.
Angel Butler
How does one even go about making a interesting PanO list anyway? Love the models but most lists I've seen just revolve around fusilier spam or some other unfun bullshit.
Michael Clark
>interesting >PanO Pick one.
David Taylor
>2 Yan Huo and Hsien >171pts in 3 models user, I understand that rule of cool applies but never go full retard
Asher King
Your only fuckup is that you bought YJ starter instead of Red Veil, good luck finding that sexy Ninja that goes into every list
Eli Moore
Acontecimento lists can be interesting, if only because you get to use montesa knights and guarda de tacos.
Michael Ramirez
>>Yu Jing: 34 units it hurts
Connor Parker
Fusi spam is pretty ineffective desu.
I mostly just play ASA. There's some nice stuff and hidden gems in vanilla, but ASA is just so much more interesting right off the bat and gives all of its often maligned units a chance to shine. MO has one fun and effective tactic realized in 3 different ways but it doesn't do much outside of that and also nobody has a tinbot for some reason, while NCA is just vanilla but with a defensive Fusilier link that forces people to trade their Nisses and Croc Men for Black Friars (who are terrible in the Nisse role but fantastic doing their own unique thing with a multi rifle) and Locusts (who are great but mostly ignored in vanilla because they have ODD which is worse than TO camo therefore they must obviously always be worse than Croc Men) respectively.
Andrew Roberts
Just don't use fusiliers and do something retarded like pic related.
Three rudebois like that in a 10 order list is probably a non starter, and you've got 9 orders
Brayden Ramirez
Why knights of santiago?
Hospitallers are better and you can swap 1 of them for Gabriel.
Save you points you could use for your 10th order.
Aaron Lewis
>Not saying "Stop in the name of the Order of Santiago" in a heavy Spanish accent constantly with each ARO >I pity you
Carson White
Yeah I'm with the other guy desu, Santiagos can compete with Hospitallers in Magister links but not so much in a Joan link. Hospies are better at being filler, while the nice fancy stuff Santas get has to deal with some real diminishing returns and the great LT can't work with Joan at all.
And you get that shit support out of there, there's not nearly enough TOFOOS going around. Engineering team can stay though.
Jeremiah Turner
Replace that Machinist with a Trauma Doc and add a WarCor and it's good to go.
Angel Anderson
You can't run that much HI without an engineer.
You'll get absolutely ruined by anyone bringing em or adhl weapons.
Which at the moment is nearly half the factions in the game.
And all of them in certain IT'S missions where everyone gets a glue gun.
Jackson Scott
Hey, atleast you got new S5/6 HIs and some AD HI on next releases
Tohaa? Still fucking jack shit.
Ian Sullivan
They can even be better with Magisters because Santiagos lack long range which the rockets provide. Now if only there was a CoC in PanO...
Henry Price
Locusts, Peacemakers, Montesa and Crocmen dominating the midline is pretty hilarious.
Adrian Carter
That's what you get for buying into a sectorial. CB may have tried to fool you, but that's what the reality always was. Even if Triumvirate comes out Tohaa will still just be a sectorial with its own sub-sectorial. You only get to be a real faction when your links are removed and your roster is bloated with a bunch of shit.
And if you're the one in a hundred Tohaa player who actually uses a majority of the fantastic and varied roster then I feel for you. Otherwise go fuck yourself, all you'd do with a new unit is cry about how it's not broken enough.
