Bought btc at $5-$11. Kept buying on the run up to $260, raising my cost basis to $60. Panic sold at exactly $60 when MtGox resumed trading after a 12 hour cooldown

When it bubbled to $1200 my cost basis went to $390 from fomo buys, and I sold at $400 the day it crashed.

This time around I sold everything at $5000, watched it dip to $2K, thought I won. Then fomo buyed when it went to $12K. And here I am.

I bought them a year ago at 1100, then they dipped %25 to $800 last January but I held until now

Also, I was mining BTC in early 2011. Mined .01 BTC in a weekend. Was worth $0.03 at the time. Quit mining because I didn't want to hurt my GPU and because I pay my own power bill.

On a side note: I bought a bunch of bitcoins at $30 and just HODL'ed until about november last year (2017) when everyone started hyping crypto...

Because I had bitcoins, apparently I also had a bunch of bitcoin gold. So since I don't care about the forks, for giggles I moved $2k of those BCC to binance because all my colleagues were into the altcoins stuff.

Now my $2k is $16k in 2 months. I'm starting to regret just HODLing idle when I could have used em for daytrading and I'd probably have 100x of what I now have

I shorted ETH back in 2015 after being salty about selling early. I don't want to mention the total losses I had in bitcoin from this. I've recovered, but if I had just bought ETH and held instead I would have been a multi millionaire.
