Infinity is a 28mm scale futuristic skirmish game by Corvus Belli where even when equipped with powered armor, -4 STR means you sometimes fall over while firing your heavy rocket launcher to pay for your treason against the StateEmpire.
I have the box of 4, and the HRL from the blister.
I want to try running a Wu Ming pain train link. Happy for the HRL and panzer faust to proxy for each other. But apart from that would like weapon options to stay wysiwyg.
Anyone have an example link they have run before that works?
All the options I've knocked up either seem way too swc intensive, or lacking in any active turn threat.
Oliver Wright
Can someone help me figure out what's up with warsen.al/ vs. warsenal-theme.myshopify.com/ ? The latter seems to be an outdated version of their webstore but it's the only one that has the nondescript style of camo/TO camo markers that I prefer and checkout still seems to work.
Sure you can't just take the pfaust off and pretend that light shotgun is a boarding shotty?
Otherwise you're kind of locked into HMG+CR+FO+HRL+pfaust unless you take a Zhanying. Which isn't the worst, but the rifle and tinbot profiles have a lot to offer while the panzerfaust just kind of doesn't.
Kevin Adams
Well you can run WYSIWYG. It's 4.5 SWC which is a lot, but the Wu Ming are going to be the center of the list anyways. Use the HMG for active turn destruction and the HRL for enduring AROs along with the Panzerfaust for a one time very threatening ARO. Boarding Shotgun guy should really be a FO for a specialist in the team, he can ARO in a pinch too with flash pulse. Chain Rifle/SMG guy is great at being cheap and removing nasty negative mod troops with a template weapon, and when the fireteam gets torn to shreds he can be great in suppressive fire.
If you want to keep doing WYSIWYG but don't want to be quite as SWC heavy, take out either the HRL or HMG and replace them with the Zhanying hacker, who you can buy as a blister. She gives your HI team a hacker to defend them, and you can make the Boarding Shotgun into a Deflector Tinbot to make her and the entire team very difficult to hack. She ends up being the specialist that way. That team ends up being only 3.5 SWC instead of 4.5. to cut the SWC back even more replace that Zhanying with the Madtrap, FO, or plain sensor Zhanying and keep the BSG Wu Ming as FO. That cuts the SWC down to just 2.5. Everything remains completely WYSIWYG if you have beyond Red Veil or don't mind the hacker standing in for rifle profiles.
Aiden Sullivan
>replacing HMG ever Don't do that. Pretty much anything else can be switched out, but the HMG is the centre of the entire link.
Eli Ross
Some people seem to think the burst 3 HRL is a good enough active turn shooter, but I've never run it myself. I actually like running Wu Ming Duos a lot more in general, they are cheap and make the rest of the list building process very flexible.
Oliver Carter
It's solid on active turn situations where you're cornering a sad boy pissing himself and returning back B1 ARO, but in situations where you are coming under fire from two sources or are dealing with a Link, the added insurance of B5 over B3 is crucial.
Joseph Gonzalez
What do you think of Ikari's Tanko+Brawler+Keisotsu special fireteam.
I was thinking of running the MSV2 Brawler, the ML Tank, and three Keisotsu as a heavy reactive link. It has the most annoying aspect of the former Haramaki link: the SSL2 BS 16 B2 ML, a MSV2 for smoke shooting and anti smoke shenanigans, and the cheapness of Keisotsu cheerleaders who can hide and give the bonuses.
Its main problem is the SWC investment but it isn't too much in actual points, 88. Think it's worth the upgrade over regular Keisotsu core?
Cameron Edwards
they come up the same for me. Just use Warsen.al which is what's on their FB
Luke Robinson
>tfw you have a buch of old ASA but really want the new sculpts Do I just sell off my old boys and buy the new ones? It feels kinda heartless, but I started playing ASA back at the beginning of N3 so I have the old Bagh Mari, the old Sikh, and a posse of Regulars. And those new Bagh Mari look so fuckin' good.
Logan Perez
Yeah but warsen.al doesn't have those camo markers, only these ones. It makes me wonder if the other ones are OOP or not.
You can't even run a Bagh Mari Core and Haris at the same time. I don't know man, I guess you can keep them and consider them retired. You'd be selling the old ones at a deep discount as it is with the new stuff out. At least the old regulars will help you build the link teams easier. Currently you need to buy two starter sets to get 5 regulars, since they decided to not release an SWC box for them.
I'll give Pain train with Zhanying a couple of run outs, and probably a Duo as well.
If I like it I'll probably end up buying a second box and try some reposes and weapon swaps to get some more useful profiles.
Anthony Flores
But they look ridiculous next to each other, and there's no reason to end up with 8 Bagh Mari. The Sikhs in particular are basically completely different sculpts.
I mean, they are painted already. And I'm still seeing the old Bagh Mari selling on eBay for pretty much the exact same price. Toss on the extra money for a tabletop ready paintjob, and I reckon I can still get my original money plus some for the added time on 'em. That is kinda fucky about Regulars, but the old ones are also... pretty lame, if I'm being honest. Almost all of them are jumping around on one leg trying to be ninjas.
Hudson Johnson
The Multi Rifle/LGL Wu Ming profile is great, and a Multi Rifle in the team in general is very good. One might hope eventually for a Wu Ming Multi-Rifle blister, but it also might be one of those really useful profiles that never gets a miniature.
Austin Sullivan
Ah sorry I misread your post. Shoot them a message. They're really good with customer support. If they're oop then might be able to make them for you
Landon Long
>missed my opportunity to make a new General because was watching Three Kingdoms Fitting or ironic?
Oliver Davis
Could also make the cheerleaders FOs for one point more each for b2 flashpulses...
Brody White
>want to run a 5-man djanbazan link >sniper and rifleman are sculpted in a completely different style I hate having autism
Angel Gray
The Djanbazan sniper one of the better old models of the game though. Hide him behind some bush/shrub/rubble on the base. Field the rest of the box of four. Have fun. Plus his pose matches the Rifle Hafza which is pretty cool in its own right.
Ryan Long
>The Djanbazan sniper one of the better old models of the game though. On his own, absolutely. It's a wonderful model.
However he still looks horribly out of place when used alongside the new ones. Giving him some duck blinds won't change that.
Hunter Taylor
I know they're weird gene soldier freaks so I guess their new ridiculous buffed out new models make sense, but they don't look nearly as cool as the concept art in my opinion.
>The Sniper is obviously a Sniper and impossible to mistake the Shock Marksman Rifle with. >The model looks good >It is clear to you and your opponent they're still the same unit >The other Djanbazan models already are irregular, from the bare armed HMG to the Doctor with cool shades and no faceplate I don't see the problem.
Ian Lewis
Don't forget Hackerman with the VR helmet.
Justin Cook
>I don't see the problem. Its the difference between a modified uniform and a completely different uniform.
I don't like the mismatch. It's ugly, even if I like and own the older models.
Josiah Flores
Been painting 40k guys for about a year and a half now. Never varnished/sealed a single model. Is my collection fugged?
Luis Jenkins
Nope.
Benjamin Harris
Other then perhaps minor chipping and that they are 40k I don’t think you’ll have problems
Zachary Foster
>not Age of Aeldari™: The Warpening™: The Game™
Grayson Cruz
Last I heard it's age of flyrants all over again. 40k playerbase must be pretty desolated by now.
Isaiah Gutierrez
A decent chunk of my meta are actually playing Warpath, amusingly enough. Another chunk left for AoS.
Isaiah Thomas
Kinda worried no one has posted even a page of the book. Is there not a single good artwork or paragraph?
Elijah Perez
I want an Aku for ISS for memetic value. AKU OR RIOT.
Parker Robinson
Infinity book leaks seem to take forever, if they ever happen. We only have an N1 rulebook and the original Human Sphere in the OP.
You show jack the respect it goddamn deserves, show is a masterpiece
Hudson Baker
> Mad about meme cartoons influencing a tabletop game > Plays Infinity user... I...
James Clark
Makes far more sense to be ISS, though. A proud Japanese citizen fighting against oppression of the technological terror of the YuJing State Empire, seeking to return to the traditional way of life at the end of his katana. >Long ago in a distant land, I, Aku, the shape-shifting Master of Darkness, unleashed an unspeakable evil! But a foolish Samurai warrior wielding a magic sword stepped forth to oppose me. Before the final blow was struck, I tore open a portal in time and flung him into the future, where my evil is law! Now the fool seeks to return to the past, and undo the future that is Aku!
My point exactly. There's already too much of this shit.
*farts*

What's wrong with ALEPH having some unearthly looking Hindu inspired super-recreations as their ultimate trump card against the EI and any humans who stand against it?
Juan Sanders
wtb Kazak MSV that are just Slavs with dash-cams glued to their helmets
Leo Morales
I bought second hand Icestorm recently and I have a minor problem. Spektr knife hand is missing the knife and I of course don't have the quality control code. Does anyone have any experience with a situation like that? Is it possible they send a replacement even if I send them a mail?
Jackson Long
Is the stuff in the OP the RPG that was released recently? Is there scans of it if not?
Lincoln Anderson
>Dire Foes: Gotta Get Back
William Evans
Yes. What other RPG would it be?
Asher Roberts
I didn't know if it was an updated version. I saw it pop into my recommendations on miniature mart and didn't know if I had read it yet.
Austin Reed
>zipper down the middle So is that like, a jacket with bulletproof fibers? Or is it a normal plate that just looks weird? Is it even armor at all?
my autism is overwhelming
Brayden Ross
Considering Djanbazans have ARM 3, I'm guessing it's some kind of heavy future-kevlar jacket with no plate.
Yes. Haqqislam is really tacticool, which makes sense since they are a halfway point between Ariadna and the everyone else in terms of military technology. They have access to the same tech as the other major powers but it's not as wide spread and integrated, leaving a lot of units to make do with less.
Levi Wilson
Yeah, they're similiarly a low-tech faction, just not quite as low. Remember, the standard armament for Haqq is a rifle, not a combi.
Camden Adams
Jeesh, you're a mini wargamer, how hard is it to find a suitable replacement knife or twenty between leftover bits or from your friends. Heck, paypal me 50 cents and I'd send you like five in an envelope (although some would technically be machetes).
I dig those too, but I'm talking more aboot clean circles on a smooth, round, uninterrupted surface. Which a couple pano models do sorta achieve, but not to the degree that naffatun do. Also, I like haqq gunz better.
Nolan Ward
That's more a nomad motif than a haqq one, but Haqq does have some kick ass weapon design.
Joseph Stewart
Thank you happy merchant my greatest ally, I finally got my domaru
Xavier Clark
I think the girl is just to show how reckless and crazy Naffatuns will gonna be. They're known to be rabid pyromaniacs in universe.
Jose Thomas
I was actually gonna get into nomads because of that, until I started reading the lore and playstyles between factions. It was a hard pick since all of them had something that spoke to me.
I eventually settled with MAF.
Evan Gutierrez
>I eventually settled with MAF Understandable, when winning by objective is the win condition every game but the only objective is tabling your opponent and not giving a shit about losing your lt
Hunter King
THE way to play
Jaxson Smith
Well they can't win if they never survive pushing the button.
Joshua Ortiz
More or less how I play my Elite Kazaks, except I do still have FO Scouts and the option of specialist Vets. Then again, we also mostly play 20x20. Which doesn't have an incredibly retarded mission system like the ITS, instead rewarding specialists rather than penalizing armies other armies which do have issues with them. And avoiding the rather arbitrary nature of them.
Carter Clark
YAMS is also fun as an alternate mission system. It can be a little RNG at times, but whatever.
Brayden Fisher
But the apologists in the FB group say tabling your opponent is bad and you deserve to lose for it.
Kayden Smith
Yeah. We did both for a while, and I personally prefer YAMS. Though I will say that 20x20 has more "cinematic" missions, instead of a bundle of shit thrown at a wall and hopefully sticking into something sensible.
...Also, I'll never forget how I much I use to hate the Coup de Grace when we were playing ITS, and I was playing my Kazaks. Do you know how fucking hard it is to have an Unconscious model to kill when you're running AP HMGs, T2 Rifles, Autocannons, Light Flamethrowers, and Marks L1 Ojotniks?
Lucas Ramirez
MAF player here Honestly this is how I play, I make aggressive lists and try to make favorable trades.
Gakis, max krakots, and a zerat lead for a pretty agreesive deployment. I use my link teams as a order efficient way to get models up the table. I’d love to try a suryat buddy pair in the near future.
Daniel Davis
Have you ever run the Sogarat Haris? It sounds so glorious retarded that I was almost convinced to play Morats just to run that ridiculous option, but I wasn't sure how it'd actually fare on the tabletop.
Brayden Scott
>having difficulty finishing off wounded enemies because you just turn everyone into pulp or pop their heads Truly, Kazaks are the true Russian sectorial. A force of precise application of overkill.
Benjamin Turner
Kazaks will make ISS look like peace makers if any of the sub-regions of Ariadna go into full scale revolt.
Bentley Morales
Not that guy, but I faced a guy who ran a soggy haris, and I got my shit kicked in hard. Granted, it was only my third game and I made a couple poor decisions, but it was still pretty brutal regardless.
Parker Rodriguez
It's solid. Very hard to bring down.
Blake Ortiz
You can chose to not use the marksmanship skill you know.
Adam Lopez
I mean, seriously consider what the Kazaks have been balancing on Dawn. A bunch of drunk Americans that jerk off to OORAH MARINE CORP shit despite just being a bunch of half-tribal assholes who start shit with the Antipodes by going scalping for kicks. A bunch of drunk Scots that jerk off to MUH CLANS shit despite just being a bunch of dog-fucking full-tribal assholes who start shit with each other and are led by one of the most famous freedom fighters in history that was purposely designed to divide Ariadna but bumped his head. And some Frogs who are actually pretty decent. While the major powers in the Human Sphere want to kick them all into reservations to get at that sweet sweet teseum deposits. While the planet is covered in hive-mind space werewolves with infectious drool.
The fact that the Kazaks are still top dog and running the show on Dawn is nothing short of impressive. And use of shit like the Galician smugglers that are randomly on the planet as an organized black market run by High Command and used as "independent" spies on the various other subfactions is a great example of how they even do problem-solving that isn't just "gas the school."
Nathan Smith
Nice to hear. It just sounds ridiculously durable and ridiculously killy as well. I'm guessing it's usually just the Soggy Haris with Vanguards as your Core to pump orders into it? Do you know roughly what that dude was running?
Ethan Gomez
Vanguards are an option and have their merits, but I find Hungries core is more common. They let you bring more support with the extra points.
Ryan Cruz
I suppose, but a Hungries core is also pretty worthless in the reactive turn, isn't it? Wouldn't it be better to have something that can hold ground more effectively than a pack of space-bugs with chain rifles while the Tempest is busy striking the hammer on the active turn?
Camden Bailey
He was using a hungries core with a yaogat sniper and anyat to fill in. This was at 250 pts.
Lucas Martin
Burst 2 Feuerbach does some pretty good work itself, and there's unlinked defensive options around. Linked Gakis should be kept at the back, but Pretas and the Oznat make a pretty mean midfield roadblock and can be used actively as well to clear out those annoying hackers and repeaters
I'd recommend trying both desu. Vary it up, it keeps things fresh and makes you harder to counter. Both supporting links have their pros and cons.
