Lets make a Knight House

1d4chan.org/wiki/Imperial_Knight_House_Creation_Tables

we start with

What is the Nature of our Vow? (d10)

Attached: warhammer-40000-imperial-knight6.jpg (873x627, 123K)

Rolled 6 (1d10)

Standing Force - "And these stars are ours to defend."

so we have our territory and are keeping it

When Was The House Contacted? (d100)

Rolled 66 (1d100)

Nova Terra Interregnum:(M34-M36) The House was found while the galaxy was split in twain. so this is pretty recent it seems

next is Who is our direct Sovereign? (d10)

Rolled 7 (1d10)

FUCK YEAR KNIGHTS

PLEASE BECOME SPACE BRETTONIA

Attached: images (3).jpg (225x224, 12K)

Adeptus Mechanicus: The House's loyalty is to the Adeptus Mechanicus. They may not adhere to the teachings of the Cult Mechanicus, but they will benefit from the closer attentions of their Sacristans.

So we on some level are the cog boys errand boys, next

Succession Laws. Who inherits the Knight Titan and titles? (d5--do not roll if Freeblade; roll on eligibility table below to determine set of eligible inheritors; d6 if you want to include something custom.)

...

Rolled 1 (1d6)

>D5

Fuck that

Gavelkind/Partible

Titles and Knights are split between all eligible inheritors by lottery. Roll a d2; on a 1, an inheritor cannot inherit a second inheritance until all inheritors have at least one, nor a third until all have at least 2, and so on; on a 2, they can (the lottery can return the same winner for every item, in theory).

interesting

Rolled 2 (1d2)

Sounds gay

there we go, knight lottery!

Succession Laws. Who is eligible to inherit? (d6--do not roll if Freeblade)

Rolled 4 (1d6)

Huh. This could lead to some contentious fights over inheritance. Moreso than "Who gets the cabin".

Feudal Commune, Set of inheritors is entire family.so nice and simple.

Gender laws for Inheritance (2d6)

That may be why there's a lottery in the first place. No one could fucking agree

Rolled 6, 3 = 9 (2d6)

Cognatic: Both males and females are equally eligible (ignore gender).

Amount of Ceremony (d10)

GIRLS HAVE PRIMACY

It's just Like my anime's!

Rolled 6 (1d10)

OH! I misread the Dice

but d10 yes

Reasonable: As with much of the Imperium, ritual guides most aspects of life, within reasonable limits.

Reasonable: As with much of the Imperium, ritual guides most aspects of life, within reasonable limits.

House Demeanour (d10)

Rolled 2 (1d10)

Cleanse and Purify, we are very very thourough in the destruction of enemies

If one exists, what is the House's Flaw? There really ought to be more of these (d10)

Lore question. What's the deal with the knightlet armigers? Are they a new invention? Or were they "always" around?

It'll even be more anime if they're wearing form fitting pilot suits.

Rolled 2 (1d10)

Well, considering demeanor... Basically our pilots are asuka

Men can pilot the armiger's

All knight tech is pretty ancient

Attached: oeNaFrS.gif (540x404, 196K)

HONORABLE AS FUCK
BRASH AS FUCK
CLEANSE AND PURIFY
HOT BLOODED WAIFUS

with honouring any and every oath, even when it would lead to the destruction of the House. They are often particularly brash.

d100 for figure of legend

dice+1d100

Rolled 31 (1d100)

Rollin

>All knight tech is pretty ancient

Are you saying the Mechanicus can't build new knights?

A true Hero of the Imperium who stood against the Traitors (reroll if the Knight was contacted after the Time of Forging).

Because this is a late discovered house, this is technically not a valid outcome for us. Alternatively, we could ewchew the reroll and say contact was lost with the Knight house for a millenia after the heresy and they were only recently rediscovered
I'm not up in the most recent Knight fluff, but previously, yes. Or at least it was very difficult. This was the source of the love/hate relation between the Admech and the knights, as the knights refuse to hand over their secrets, leading to damn near civil war in some cases. For that reason, knights aligned with the Admech (as ours is) is/was very rare

Specifically, the Knight suits throne has a very advanced machine spirit, similar but distinct from those of a Titans. The Throne inside a knight has the power to fry a pilot if they find them unworthy.

Rolled 42 (1d100)

Just in case we need to reroll

Actually outdated fluff now, the Knights are almost always under the thumb of the Admech these days, and they can/do build new knights. Knight worlds are great sources of archaeotech however

A Baron, so the ruler of a house. Maybe this Baron had many daughters who in turn had many daughters.

D100 for deeds of the hero

Attached: 800px-KnightArmiger.jpg (800x879, 101K)

Rolled 19 (1d100)

The figure is remembered as the bane of the Orks, to such an extent that his name is known to the vile greenskins even to this day.
d10 for the size of our domain

Maybe this Knight House fought in the War of the Beast, and then its records were lost in years that follow after the final battle.

Rolled 7 (1d10)

Rolled 2 (1d10)

Sizable, several star systems

d100 to determine home world archetype

Rolled 33 (1d100)

Incidentally, this two would have been tiny. What I suggest is our house was reduced to a single planet before being rediscovered, and then was able to rapidly expand/reclaim it's holdings

Our homeworld is a feral world! Interesting. This means a bronze age society or so, ruled by litteral building sized metal titans

d100 for terrain

Rolled 2 (1d100)

Jungle. We fucking Aztec Mayan stargods boi
D10 for rule style

Rolled 4 (1d10)

Dice

Direct rule. D10 for hierarchy

Rolled 6 (1d10)

So we got a bunch of Aztec Asukas that have a very hands on approach to rule.

>Flexible

Makes sense with the whole Lottery thing.

Indeedle, bow for the good stuff. d10 for combat doctrine

Rolled 10 (1d10)

Time for hotblooded Aztec Asukas fighting at....

Terror.

I'm not sure if I should be surprised

d100 for Preferred Knight Variants?

d100 for preferred Knight variant. This could be a big deal

Rolled 26 (1d100)

They appear to like.....

>Knight Errants

Yep, really not surprised there.

Knight Errants are a common type of Imperial Knight walker. The aggressive nobles who pilot these Knights lead the charge of Knight Houses when they go to war and prefer to fight at the forefront of battle, hunting enemy tanks and war engines or charging into the fray. Where a Knight Paladin is equipped for a flexible battlefield role, a Knight Errant specializes in close range actions. Indeed, so effective are the Knights in this capacity that Imperial officers will do everything in their power to requisition the services of such a valuable military asset, never more so than when they are expecting to face a super-heavy or Titan-class threat.[1][2]

In the heat of battle, where a normal warrior tires as the exertions of combat take their inevitable toll, a Knight Errant is as relentless as the tide: an unstoppable engine of death, capable of overcoming the mightiest of foes, no matter how large or heavily armoured they may be. With its heavy adamantine armour and Ion Shield, a Knight Errant will have no compunction about charging straight at the enemy in order to close the distance, all the while using its formidable thermal cannon to devastating effect. Countless times have heretics, believing themselves safe within their fortified strongholds, watched in horror as the walls around them have melted and sloughed away to reveal a Knight Errant ready to butcher them in their own sanctuary. Even should a foe not be immediately incinerated by the thermal cannon, a Knight Errant carrys a Reaper Chainsword or Thunderstrike Gauntlet in their other arm to finish them off. Finally, the Knight Errant is also armed with a Heavy Stubber mounted in its carapace to cut down infantry.[1][2]

Knight Errants are also capable of carrying additional weapons, such as an Ironstorm Missile Pod, twin Icarus Autocannons, or a Stormspear Rocket Pod, mounted on their carapace. Some will also replace the heavy stubber with a meltagun.[2]

d100 for restricted units

Attached: 800px-KnightErrantNew.jpg (800x575, 136K)

Rolled 74 (1d100)

Knight Castellans. LOL

Attached: Knightcastellan.jpg (744x663, 60K)

We have few of or cannot field Knight Castellan

Knight Castellan: Similar to the Knight Crusader, but replaces its Lascannon with a multi-barrel Autocannon, giving it better firepower against enemy infantry and light vehicles.[2]

Knight Crusaders are super heavies with heavy ranges firepower. So we prefer to slaughter lighter targets up close

Well, we didn't want a mini-Warlord anyways.

d100 for house beliefs

Rolled 51 (1d100)

Rolled 35 (1d100)

>Code of Chivalry
>prefers Terror tactics

Okay, I guess we have a very wide definition of "chivalry"

Or we just put on a persona of being super scary, but in reality, we're really protective of our friends and allies.

Sorta like a tsundere

Generous to our allies, completely monstrous to our enemies.

d10 for house strength

Rolled 10 (1d10)

>Over Strength: Some Houses, through luck, long history or ties to a powerful Forge World, can field large numbers of Knights. The daily roll call for Knights, consorts, sacristans and their offspring takes up an exasperating amount of time.

Another reason why we needed the lottery.

>Oversized

Damn, how many kids have these girls been popping out?

0 Over Strength: Some Houses, through luck, long history or ties to a powerful Forge World, can field large numbers of Knights. The daily roll call for Knights, consorts, sacristans and their offspring takes up an exasperating amount of time.

Match with our fluid structure, lottery system, and multi-system holding's.

D100 for allies or we could just go with mechanicus

Rolled 79 (1d100)

The reason why this House is so terrifying is because the sheer number of Knights they can bring to field. It also explains why we have way more Common Knights than Castellans.

Just in case

Imperial Navy which makes sense, we have a lot of territory and a lot of shit to move around.
d100 for enemies

Rolled 11 (1d100)

Hooray, we got another matching Enemy for our backstory, The Greenskins!

I imagine that every knight might be a lord of baron of their own world in their protectorate

Orks, which matches our deed of legend a d probably means we have ourselves a comissar yarrick situation - we terrify them, but they also love to fight us

Large amount of Knight Errants, terrifying the Orks because the amount of Choppas actually outnumbered their Dakka.

First for Scheherazade

Attached: a7265e619c398423566149680f0e9789.jpg (1200x1672, 590K)

So to recap:

A Standing Force Knight House discovered during the Nova Terra Interregnum by the Cogboys. Founder of the House managed to fight off an Ork Waaagh! by wading deep into the Green Tide and killing off its Warboss. The House was forced to adopt Cleanse and Purify when there is a seasonal outbreak of Feral Orks on their Jungle Feral Homeworld.

By M41, thanks to the tireless efforts of Knight House in defending the Forge Worlds of the Mechanicus against the depredations of the Orks, the Knight Protectorate now span an entire sub-sector. Due to the insane amount of Knight Errants in their possession, an entire Battlefleet has to be tasked to carry them in event of a full mobilization.

You forgot that the majority of their pilots are female for whatever reason, and males only pilot when there is no female heir. Incidentally, since this shit is decided by lottery and our organization is flexible, that's almost never.

We also come from a feral jungle world, honor all vows and use terror tactics

There's also the House's preference for Terror Tactics, and Code of Chivalry.

Can't be chivalrous with greenskins, right?

Chivalrous in terms of protecting the citizens of the Imperium while at the same time scaring the shit out of their enemies.

If we're being technical, chivalry only applies to other knights.

I mean chivalry and terror make sense together to me. If you were facing a faction of mecha pilots so damn bloody minded they ran headlong into melee with orcs and tried to bury them with weight of numbers you too would be terrified. Not just because of the numbers or the charging mechas, but because the pilots behind them were crazy, aggressive, and just plain suicidally "honorable" enough to consider that their signature (and possibly only) tactic. Orks especially might be put out by a human faction that appeared to be out orking them

So, color scheme for this marvelous house?

we need a drawfag on this asap

I mean, we gotta go with the Eva unit 02 colors right?

Nah. They'd love it even more. War brings Boyz. Bigger War brings bigger boyz, and no self respecting Mekboss is gonna turn down the opportunity to prove their Stompa is da Stompiest.
