The whales aren't actually buying any CAN, they're literally selling to themselves because the competition is about how much volume you can withhold. The competition will end on the 13th, the price will stagnate for a few days and will do a 4-5x from there.

This exact thing happened with DBC, so much FUD about the competition and that it will dump right after, but it didn't. As I said, it had a sideways chart for about 2 days after and did a 5x within a day.
