We all see the hacked coin threads from time to time. A common denominator among victims is the Windows operating system.
Windows is far more susceptible to hackers given the fractured nature of the operating system across multiple hardware manufacturers, the propensity for said manufacturers to install 3rd party spyware, and the increased points of vulnerability that result from window's customizable options.
If you have significant gains and you are not a cyber security expert, keep yourself safe and drop $1100 on a fresh bottom shelf MacBook or wipe an old PC and install your favorite flavor of Linux. Use this computer for trading and transacting in crypto and NOTHING ELSE. Don't become a victim of theft.
Windows 10 is fine as long as you update it as you should, use a legit license (no kms Russian botnet) and you're not a brainlet Close all unnecesary ports, install dnscrypt and you should be good to go

what if i have a nano ledger s? I just sucks tho because once i put my crypto on it it locks in the price
Dylan Sanders
I've been running on a W7 PC that I haven't updated even once since 2011. I also don't have an antivirus. I have all my shit on a ledger and all my exchange accounts and email secure with 2FA. I'd like to see anyone touch me.
Carson Butler
Just buy EGAS and hold it...13mil max supply and the price is sub $0.10 - at $1 it will only be 13mil market cap and even if it turns out to be a scamcoin thats still 10x returns. Take a look@ coinmarketcap.com/currencies/ethgas/
Henry White
I recommend a copy of Linux Mint. And encrypt your shit punks
Ayden Phillips
I honestly have zero trust in Microsoft to keep my shit secure. Sure, you could jump through a million hoops just to make it secure for a short while, but if it's just for storage, I'd rather get a Linux box or something too obscure for hackers to want to attack.
Carson Torres
Who the fuck are you trying to fool pajeet
Matthew Thompson
I locked my btc at 19500 so I’m comfy
Ryan Wright
thats a good price to lock in user. congrats!
Adam Long
So glad that theres a device that makes people buy your bags at a higher price
Jaxson Campbell
Still using Windows 95. I am safe.
Jaxon Garcia
nigger i use windows 7 and leave my pv key on the desktop in a txt file
never been hacked once
why? becuase i don't download retarded shit or fucking fagnime cartoons from dodgy sites
Levi Flores
Wow you're right, I always download too much shit
Gabriel Myers
2truanon
Andrew Allen
That's overkill. Stay up-to-date on Windows updates and use 2FA for all your crypto accounts.
Adrian Anderson
Use it for crypto mining only n get another pc for ur porn browsing.
Parker Sanders
same here, muh hackers
Aaron Parker
Just use TAILS on a flash drive when you deal with wallets then?
$1100 on a laptop just to handle crypto especially if it's all on exchanges lmao
Noah Gutierrez
Retarded
Michael Hughes
>2018 >using winblows Nope, but I’ve considered installing win7 on a new drive for muuuuh gaaaaames. And btw never buy a new macbook at retail. Especially if you’re choosing the lowest option. Just get a 2 yo top end model on amazon for 1/3rd the price. You get more and pay less. Most people never take them out of the house and think a dirty fan means the whole machine is fucked.
Thomas Williams
did the spectre/meltdown not worry you?
i did the same til spectre came around. bought a trezor after that one.
Daniel Morris
winning
Liam Thomas
The only right answer here. Don't be a retard and you'll be fine.
Cooper Wood
>I leave my car on the street, unlocked, with the key in the ignition. Never been robbed >getting your car stolen is just a meme >it wont happen to me
Justin Adams
do you browse web? You're already downloading retarded shit. Don't feel safe just because nobody cares about You, or that you don't care about yourself for that matter.
Easton Lopez
No, I don't give a fuck really. I'll cry if it happens but it hasn't... My laptop is 10 years old and likely isn't even effected by that shit from my understanding. Maybe I'm wrong though Isn't it only for specific Intel processors?
I've never been robbed, mugged, burgled, etc, ever in my life. That shit only happens to fucking retards with zero perception, and/or unfortunate faggots
Yes, and I've never so much as had a virus
Nathan Clark
>ganew slash linucks masterrace
Jeremiah Robinson
no, it was for AMD, too. just kinda spooked me that eventually there could be another exploit like that. that one had been around for 15 years. who knows if there's other stuff like that floating around un-tagged.
but i'm paranoid.
Alexander Sanders
Damn, scary digits. It's a sign.
But yeah, that shit is pretty scary if it went undiscovered for so long. I bet a handful of people made a lot of money over the years from the exploit.
Makes you realise that having all of your information about everything in your life online... really is as dangerous as the boomers said back in 95, or whenever.
Crypto is probably one of the only things that keeps me using the internet. I could go on living perfectly fine without everything else
After these good days end, I'll be unplugging from all of this shit
Connor Price
did you build your hardware yourself? did you code your software yourself? If the answer to either of these questions is no, your system is not secure. guaranteed.
If the answer is yes, your system is probably still not secure.
Ryan Hill
its called 2fa nigg
Kevin Sullivan
just doing my best. don't see how a trezor could be less secure than my private key in a veracrypt volume on a usb. trying to avoid ever typing my private key on a computer after the spectre thing.
Wyatt Collins
i freaking love news bloopers. don't think i would live as well without funny internet videos.
Luis Richardson
Comp threats that will steal your data may never be detected. It’s not 1999 anymore, malware doesn’t brag about how it ripped you off afterward. Would you use 2fa on exchanges? Would you use a complex password? Why wouldn’t you secure the operating system then. It’s a weak link. Seriously, all of your account security is useless if you keep such info (keys, recovery codes, etc) on your fucking desktop. I just don’t understand why not put up as many barriers as possible. Even if any system could be penetrated. Make it difficult to keep skids out, at least.
Mason Morris
I don't give a fuck Even if I was hacked, I wouldn't give too much of a fuck
