If you sell a shitcoin for BTC and it rebounds then just find another shitcoin. Don't sell shitcoins you actually want to hold long term. The point is just to accumulate more BTC.
Only risk is buying and it keeps going down but that can be mitigated with just an amateur level of understanding of TA and a modicum of research. Look for coins with strong support before dip/good fundamentals (having an actual product helps), buy closer to 24 hour low than 24 hour high, etc
