Use XRP. I transferred 5k today from Kraken to Bittrex for 3 cents. Transfer was finished once it was initiated by Kraken and it showed up instantly in Bittrex. No "waiting for x confirmations" bullshit.
1- check XRP's price in both exchanges
2- test with a small amount
3- make sure the receiving exchange uses the same wallet for everyone
why? ripple requires a minimum of 20 XRP for each wallet to prevent spam. so if it dedicates a wallet to you, 20 XRP will be locked until they change this limit.
how will the exchange identify my transaction if it uses the same wallet for everyone? it will give you a unique number called "destination tag" that you will input along with the wallet address in the other exchange.
Bittrex charges at least 5 XRP to withdraw though... so not free.
