Convince me not sell my crypto
>tfw crypto can't find any real use case in any of those after 10 years
Most cryptos are either useless or currently unfinished, based on speculation. But there are a few selected cryptos that are actually gonna have an impact that's gonna be similar to the internet. All in all this is no different from the stock market, except that most stocks are penny stocks.
Then get out with your candy money, kid
what crypto is going to have an impact?
Whichever one I'm shilling today.
sell while you can this is going to be a long ride to the bottom
no but seriously
i always hear that "crypto is the new paradigm"
but what's the matter really? we already have enough shitcoins and we already have "digital payments" with visa etc
are smart contracts the real thing? i really don't get it how it can be the next big thing
ETH (or some competitor) - trust-free code execution. So far been kind of a gimmick, but with performance improvements and oracles I'm expecting it to find more real-world use. There are some areas such as legal business that do actually benefit from decentralization
XLM (or maybe XRP if they get their shit together) - global value transfer protocol. Moves money between any two parties with no explicit trust required, basically for free and fast. That's an improvement for most cross-border value transfer that's happening currently. Enables trustless trading and cross-currency payments.
"Be Fearful When Others Are Greedy and Greedy When Others Are Fearful"
>we already have "digital payments" with visa etc
All expensive because you are at the mercy of the providers. Decentralized transfer protocols enable cheaper transfers and lower the barrier of entry for competitors.
Besides, most of these things don't work in third-world countries. I bet Venezuelans for example would use any crypto over their currency
