because hype is bad for good and solid technology.
just let it be and shill some other coins here.

i'm hyped, iexec got me into crypto, if low cap coins weren't risky by nature, i'd go all in, but it's still my second biggest position at 30%

I agree thats why I got out of ven. The "fans" are like rabid retards

Get lost, I'm 'cumulatin'

I'm all in since the dip

Same

I bought in at 2490 gwei. Happy to see where this project goes

im in too

>no new highs

sorry to be a party pooper, but this is only going sideways/down for a very long time

Can someone explain what this project is? Will buy your bags of food shill

bought 2500, hope thats enough

*take your profits and enter when it is down

this will explain it user
if you read this and dont understand still, then your basically a normie that has no hope of understanding crypto

Any announcements coming soon?

Next week

Im in man. I bought a bunch at 3 bucks b4 the crash and am holding.

Any particular reason to get into this vs golem? as i understand it theyre both renting off decentralized computing power

Its habbening

Golem is like 9 months late on the Brass while iexec released its V1 in November already.
The Golem team clearly doesn't have the skill to do what they sell and the competence gap begins to show (which is not surprising considering iexec have international expert on grid computing with 15 years of background on the topic while they have just an ex banker as CEO and some random polish programmers).

Final point is that their strategy is dogshit, their first goal is to provide computing power to 3D rendering softwares, it's a niche market with lots of concurrence and no crazy perspectives of growth. On the other side iExec is first mover on a booming market with dApps.

How many do I need for Agatha to be my wife?

I hope so.
No need for it to get pumped to all hell before the dApp market gets bigger.

I can't wait for the one true (technical) decentralized computer to btfo all of these hype trains (iExec, Golem).

Why is she so cute

sonm is dumb, going straigh to the fog part without underlying infrastructure is a terrible idea, its like building an attic before the foundation has been layed

theres a reason iexec has this later down the road, you think guys who are basically in the top 20 grid computing specialists in the world dont know better?

the sonm dev team could literally work FOR iexec, thats the difference in real world experience here

>SONM
>bunch of no name russians
>call their distributed network a "supercomputer" (everyone in the room with a bachelor in compsci is laughing because it's already a lie)
>say they will do fog computing (audience struggles to breath)
>CEO is a literal /b/tard
>market their shit as fog computing while there is not even a concrete trace of it in their roadmap
>twitter account spends all day shilling their shit like a thirsty Pajeet
>always in some sort of drama (the ICO, Dadi, the smear comparaison chart with iExec and Golem on their official blog).

It's all hype, maybe it's enough to impress plebbitors with shiny videos and buzzword but in the industry these guys are not taken very seriously, hell they signed very little partnerships with actual companies while iExec already got 2 very strong projects in the pocket with Request and Shopin.

You know the maxim "Invest in people, not ideas"? Well that's the perfect case in which you should follow it.

This, good post.
When Bezos launched Amazon he didn't try to sell everything like Walmart, he began by selling books because there was no pre-existing offers that could compete contrary to chains selling CD or movies (just like iexec targets Dapps and don't pretend to beat AWS at their games... at least for now).
Amazon became the biggest bookstore in the world then they moved to another market, then another and then another, etc...

The comfiest of altcoins in my coin-polio

Just went at 3.21 dollar.

Who is playing with my coin ?!

Bought 2k on the dip around 2.10. Excellent decision. Want more

None. I'm marrying her and I'm not a cuck

Where do I buy in now, $3.00? Will it dip lower?

Shopin, a dapp built on iexec has been promoted as the best ICO at the btcmiami conference from what i read. This is like the next eth

should i sell my fct to go inthis?

It's fairly weak against ETH right now and ETH just dipped. Either wait to buy ETH if you think it's going to dip more(probably not too much) and exchange for RLC at a low.

I have a modest 500. Looking forward to big things.

I hear you. I only have 10k in, looking to move 1000 around for the coming week. Looking at RLC and VEN. 500 each? or all in on RLC? All in on VEN?

I don't like VEN so I can't vouch for it.

All in on RLC then, will probably become a long term hold. Take a guess as to price in July?

.8 rlc | .2 ven. How bout dat my kang

V2 comes out in may. After v2 youll be able to contribute pc recources in exchange for rlc. Thats when the price will spike. 20 usd is pretty conservative guess

I have no idea.
July seems so far off, we'll see if we get 2x in March and then see what the situation is with dApps and ETH.

I dont like ven either but RLC is a good long term hold with nonstop events and promotion for the next month

they are going on a media tear

Put 1k on it today. Looks solid.

just bought 1.3 btc worth an hour ago

I bought in during the crash because i didnt think it would go lower than $2 but it went down to fucking pennies
Pissed because i couldve bought more

You should buy. You can resell and buy more after.

same.

>going straight to the fog part without underlying infrastructure

I actually disagree. If a fog architecture is the most efficient architecture for a distributed system, why not design your system this way from the ground up? Because it has never been done before? That's why they had an ICO, to develop the technology and the network.

Based on your logic, Henry Ford should have sold metal horse cards first and gradually transition into mechanical cars.
>Call their distributed network a "supercomputer"

Yes, it might be hype to call it a supercomputer for the technical crowd but for the masses is clear what they are talking about.

>say they will do fog computing (audience struggles to breath)

When your fud is this blatant you come off as a retard. There is a lot of theory and research into fog computing and how it should work. SONM is just taking the lead and attempting to develop a working protocol. Don't attribute impossibility to your lack of vision. It's the equivalent of all of those retards on the early days of Eth that claimed it was a "russian scam" or "Huuur every blockchain expert agrees eth sux XD".

>market their shit as fog computing while there is not even a concrete trace of it in their roadmap

This is how I know you are fudding. Read the white paper. Designing their network as a fog computing platform is literally what makes them different from Iexec and Golem.

>It's all hype, maybe it's enough to impress plebbitors with shiny videos and buzzword

The team does Q&A sessions every month, they have released their Test-net on schedule and their roadmap is very concise and progressing smoothly. On top of that they are very active and some big institutions (mainly HP, Intel, and Micrsoft) have already taken interest, yet this project is so anti hype that their market cap has stayed pretty stagnant. Their project is literally the opposite of hype.

>Yes, it might be hype to call it a supercomputer for the technical crowd but for the masses is clear what they are talking about.
Even little Timmy and his grandmother have heard about Cloud Computing.
It's not an unknown.

>why nobody has hype about iExec

It was a decent project, now is a pajeet-tier coin.
