Good goy. More tether fud means a good time to buy is coming

God dammit, this is going to suck if it implodes. If it were to happen, I wish it would happen sooner than later, so that we could then just get on with it. I don't know any of the details, but from an outside point of view, it does seem like there are shady things going on with this.

One of my best friends in an accountant for Friedman and and worked on the Bitfinex audit/does their crypto related stuff.

I'll text and ask him about it and report back to Veeky Forums but he would have told me if something was up over there.

As soon as it recovers back high enough, I'm going sell my whole stack. The days of wild west crypto are numbered.

He also invests heavily in crypto

nice

Is the beginning of the end?

no its the middle, the begginning was after we hit ath

Jesus what a scam

you have no stack faggot

The conflicting opinions around here are getting insane.
Some are saying that people are actually wiring the millions in cash to tether so that whoever can buy btc at the floor of 10k.
Others are saying its clearly just money printed out of the air used to create massive buy walls right at 10k on the largest volume btc exchange.

Fuck all of this. They could just show us. The shady nature makes me feel like its not legitimate transactions.

I've a much a larger stack than you. I'm greedy but not deluded.

ELI5 pls? Should I go balls deep into ETH?

The thread just got deleted.

think reddit is just down for maint

no, i think reddit is just down

all i can say is wallstreet are not wiring through tether, they're using coinbase bitmex etc, or some fund setup specifically for large transactions for bitcoin. Tethers carry a pretty big premium just by using them (try trading it back and forth for the same sat, you'll see a difference). they've made almost a billion tethers in January, if not wallstreet who is it then?

...

Scary shit. Especially tether.to/announcement
like what the fuck
according to them, they cant even accept any new money unless its from Taiwan

Yeah, it is.
That's why I made the spreadsheet.
I need to update the Rich List again since there's been so much going on since them. Sometime after waking up again I suppose.

why the extreme amount of effort for the spreadsheet?
i appreciate it user but why? documenting history?

Crypto is a SCAM.. youve been warned

It's not an extreme amount of effort.
Just a couple hours. Most of it's automated.
There's a lot more I could do with it, and it's only of MANY spreadsheets I've made. Only a few are crypto related.

Here's another one I'm working on and off on.
docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/e/2PACX-1vQqWENN5L1ttJ_s22fccDXJrWYEbp_WLIeAvhsQZa80rPekUhvBiGFGPrjsl3pYrHTX8FuY5IkJoXuy/pubhtml

The Top 10 Coins By Month Since April 2013 and the Stats sheets are probably what's mostly of interest.

I ask you, if the market decides that tether is a scam, where will the money flow to? (hint: it isn't fucking fiat)

WTF I CANT BUY WITH USDT ANYMORE????

If it's a scam, people eventually won't accept it for their crypto and there will be a lot of tether bagholders.

Has anyone taken a look at Bitfinex' new logo?

Thats a lot of information you've compiled.
you have discord? you seem like the kind of person i'd enjoy networking with
AahYah#1966

Thanks dad

sucks to be them. silly bitches can join bitconnecters in the shower for a good cry

Not really. It's a rather minimal amount of information actually. Sorry, I'm not someone who would be any help with "networking". I tend to do stuff solo, usually more out of necessity than anything else. It's doubtful that It'd be of any use to either of us either. I'm simply presenting information.

The spreadsheets here have a decent amount of information.
Porn is serious business.

>daily tether FUD threads

Reminds me of October and November. Wink wink. Tether FUD = upcoming BTC bullrun, you fucking idiots. CME are going long.

I get it. I'm super interested in your spreadsheets, they're very well done and I was hoping we could come to some kind of agreement where you would share more with me. I understand if you have no interest.

And i'm not sure if you're trolling me with the link. im an oldfag but i dont understand how it applies to this thread?

The link is other spreadsheets is a couple other spreadsheets I've done that I consider to have a decent amount of information. The crypto ones are minimal at most. Really should do more with them. There are many others though. Even with having all day every day to whatever you want for years upon years on end, there's simply not enough time to do everything I'm interested in.

This is a new development, not a "daily reminder" thread.
Friedman was previously using their relationship with their client Bitfinex as a badge of honor on their site.
Now all mention of Bitfinex has been scrubbed.
I think that's justified cause for concern.

>very well done
Nah.

>share more with me
I haven't done any other crypto spreadsheets aside from those two. I'll probably do more in the future though and improve those.

>im an oldfag
I've been using Veeky Forums since 2005. Too bad I didn't begin using it soon as it began.

you seem like the kind of person i aspire to be. consistently consumed with gaining knowledge and being able to archive/access it as quick as possible.
When it can be your every day focus, it seems incredible things can be accomplished, as you've laid out for me.
I'm hoping crypto will lead to me having a similar amount of time to invest in my own interests.

That's the worst possible signal. It's not like they've redesigned their website. They scrubbed everything; "we've never heard about those Bitfinex guys"

For an auditing company to alter records in this way (they removed news mentioning Bitfinex from their news feed) is very surprising.

I say old fag though ive been around since 2008 myself. didnt stick around long enough to see crypto happen unfortunately. I had btc in my hands at 100$ a piece and never thought to hold on to them lol

>you seem like the kind of person i aspire to be.
I assure you that I'm not.

>When it can be your every day focus, it seems incredible things can be accomplished
It isn't my every day focus. Entertaining myself is my every day focus. Nor is any of this incredible, it's entirely mundane and trivial, relatively.

>I'm hoping crypto will lead to me having a similar amount of time to invest in my own interests.
I think most people would absolutely loathe having all the time to do whatever they want. Because then one has to be more concerned with meaning, or the lack thereof in their life.

>I had btc in my hands at 100$ a piece and never thought to hold on to them lol
I first bought Bitcoin at $32. Should have got in sooner. Unfortunately, I didn't hold and actually have made a relatively tiny amount of money from crypto. It's certainly the worst regrets of my life. There's no need to go into the dismal details though. I spend very little so it's not much of an issue though.

tether is a scam, no doubt. when the time comes i bet they will say "of course we didn't have the cash, but we have this house/car/property/whatever that is valued at 10 millions although the real market price is only 10k"

>implying they'll allow any redemption at all
It doesn't even matter if they are back if they can't be redeemed.
>Tether must and does at all times reserve the right to refuse to issue or redeem Tether Tokens

tether.to/legal/

I tackled the meaning related questions of life already and adopted the motto "nothing matters."
I've thought long and hard about what it would be like to have nothing but time on my hands, but that thought is always coupled with limitless crypto money. Not lavish vacations or homes and such, but constant discovery, learning, and teaching without needing to worry about finances of any kind.

I'm right there with you as it being one of my worse regrets as well. Could have been so very different. But hey, there are ipo stocks and other companies out there moving up and down too, you just have to know what you're doing in a market thats already established, unlike crypto. I couple the past with meaning. Doesn't matter, life will go on anyway. Not here for death, just along for the ride.

If they flee BTC shitting its bed again, hopefully into promising alts. It would finally be the true decoupling.

>adopted the motto "nothing matters."
Nihilist route huh.

Conspiracy theory: they received a heads-up from Weiss, saying that BTC will get a bad rating due to "the tether scam".

thanks for all this.
but what are your conclusions?

Conclusions about what?
Tether?
It'll probably go on without end until either people lose confidence in it or governments takes strong enough action against it.

People don't seem to care about anything aside from that it's tends to return to the mean of 1:1 USD and that it has utility for them as "store of value" and for arbitrage.

At this point, if this keeps up, I wouldn't be surprised if by the end of the year, it goes from 100 million issuance each time to 1 billion each time.

tether fud created by bitfinex to induce selling

BRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAPPPPPPFFFFFFFFF

Waiting for citizen reporter to report back.

...

It symbolizes exchange...
Or maybe the creation and destruction of tethers!

Just like bitconnect, thay had to shut down because of increasing bad press making its users lose confido in the platform
Not because it was a ponzi

Lol this is bad no matter how you look at it. They obviously removed Bitfinex on purpose.

The Tether issue isnt just FUD anymore.

increasing bad press -> less money inflow -> ponzi collapses

The reason it collapses is still that it is a ponzi, which needs constantly increasing money inflow. If it was a legitimate project, it would just take a hit in valuation but wouldn't have to shutdown.
