I'm a nocoiner now as well (cashed out nicely at the bottom, still several x profit after taxes) and I agree that cryptos will probably never be used for anything but extremely niche things. Still doesn't make the market not profitable

All the coins are an underlying asset or technology that future systems of business communication will be built upon! If someone wants to do business that will require a certain chain they will have to buy that asset. Picking the winners in these is a risk we are taking for the future.

In the same way the petro dollar bolsters our own fiat. Countries need to exchange whatever currency they have to USD before being able to buy oil from Saudi Arabia giving US a huge edge as a standard form of buying energy.
