No thread about antminers?

Is anybody using them, are they better than GPU mining?

Certainly cheaper.

I have a few, honestly I wouldn’t mine now just use that capital for investing.

I heard that back in 2015 and yet there are still miners around.

at this rate, they are actually looking like better options than GPUs purely based on price and break-even. Fucking ridiculous but there it is.

The resell value is pretty good too, which is also ridiculous.

There are, but unless you mine shit that can't be bought yet or you live in China-tier places where electricity is cheap, you're better off just buying the coins directly.

I would mine new shit coins and earn once they grow or suck if they fall :D

let's say your electricity is free, which would be the best to mine for shitcoins like turtle or intense coin etc?

You need GPUs, ASICs.

*GPUs, not Asics.

'look at coinwarz.com

it shows you which coins are asic and which are GPU.

There are no upcoming shitcoins that are asic becuase it would mean the devs have asics to mine with.

its alot easier to create a new coin that GPU miners can hit vs. asic which is way more specialized.

Can't you mine shitcoins with ASICs too?

Nah, most shitcoins are asic resistant these days.

sort of, but generally no. ASIC = Application Specific Integrated Circuit, so they run one algorithm only.

so you can only mine for bitcoin (and maybe litecoin) with an asic miner?

Something like that, list is limited.

New A3 came out this week for Sia was getting upto 500 a day but thats down close to 125 now a day per miner

Why so drastic change?

making about $30 a day with my S9.. still a long way off from breaking even, but I think it'll pay off during the next bull

And what are you mining?

Sorry. S9 is Sha256.. so only Bitcoin and other like-coins. I'm all in on Bitcoin

More and more miners come online, the return per single miner comes way down to more meager numbers. Estimate? $20 per day or so, once everybody starts up their new A3.

In that first week or two you could near pay off the new miner, then keep it going for gravy for a year or so....

(I'm still in research stage, this is what I have read)
