Cheap laptop for trading

I put practically all my spare money in crypto and I hate spending but I've decided it's time I got a new laptop. the one ive got now is a shitty lenovo that I've had for 5 years, it lags just trying to load up fucking trading websites. so I'm looking to spend under £1000 on a new laptop solely for trading cryptos. what is your recommendations biz.

Literally any laptop will do, gtfo

Get a rather good one from Lenovo.
Make sure there's an SSD and 8 GB ram.
Quad core also. No AMD. Amd SUCKS

chromebook with galliumos.

IBM ThinkPad T430 off ebay. You're welcome.

Chromebook. Closed OS environment literally impossible to get hacked.

im buying the new xps 15 when it drops soon cant wait

I got a cheap dell 2-in-1 with an M3 for a few hundred AU

You could get a cheap Lenovo for less

will an x2320 cut it? big enough for TA?

Can anyone confirm?

Mi notebook pro

Just install ubuntu

just buy a thinkpad x61 and install gentoo on it, if you have any objections to this just get a fucking acer to browse 9gag while you wait for your TA to fail miserably

used thinkpad u monkey, browse /g/ or ebay for 2 seconds to see that its the best value

I've got a new lenovo ideapad 320s and it does the job perfectly. Think it was like £300-350

This.
Your PC will use its resources better and perform with zero clutter. Even if you dont fancy Linux because "muh scary command line" you can just click in the browser. Free trading laptop, you're welcome

Can I still keep windows on there without being vulnerable? Or have I got to go all in on linux?

you can keep windows and dual boot if you want

nope

>it lags just trying to load up fucking trading websites

Those damn charts use up so much CPU.

I have an i5 latest gen, open a few coins up in different tabs, and my CPU shoots up to 80-90% usage and my temps are through the roof.

I get much less CPU usage and heat playing a new 3d game from Steam.

X230t is the patricians choice

Technically yes. It is based on the Linux kernel

Avoid anything with Intel processors

>AMD sucks

Enjoy your meltdown retard

macbook pro

Any decent secondhand thinkpad, you can get less than a year old, brand new looking x270 and T470s for hardly anything, easily 66% off the RRP.

buy refurbished / used elitebook and use tails/cent os/qubes/linux

got my Elitebook 840 G1 for 300 bucks. ...12gb ram, i5 4600U, 300GB ssd.

It's awesome

any thinkpad with ssd and 8 gb ram

This or elementaryOS (based on ubuntu) if you prefer OSX like desktops, light as hell and fast

>install gentoo

Unironically this: dell.com/en-uk/shop/laptops-notebooks-and-2-in-1-laptops/inspiron-13-7000-2-in-1/spd/inspiron-13-7373-2-in-1-laptop/cn37304

>Starting at £999.00
>cheap

chromebook pixel 2 (2015)

>price dropping because pixelbook came out
>1440p touch screen LED screen
>i7 processor, 16 RAM, 64 ROM
>usb C charger ports on both sides and 12 hour battery life (expect 10)

all under $600

It's more secure than most other OSes and you don't have to get autistic with it like you do Linux distros.

Use a raspberry pi with Ubuntu mate as an airgapped wallet device.

and yes, as an owner of the chromebook pixel 2, I can say that it cannot be hacked, plus you can mount a linux vm in dev mode which is good but risky if others can get to your computer, I'd say chromeos is pretty safe.

this is the prime setup

it's got other cool things like a backlit keyboard and a full body aluminum design, but make sure you get the 2 and not the 1 or you'll dick yourself in battery.

OP said that he had that much to spend.

...

I finished my thinkpad a couple months back.

don't tell me you take your computer into public with that faggot cartoon background

I try not to leave the house in general.

...

the battery on that hunk of shit must be abysmal

Get a 500 buck asus chromebook with touchscreen. I use it for my commute. I checked what stock people use for commutes and they all rally behind the microsoft touch shit which is like 1k-2k. But the chromebook works fine. I say commute because it's mobile and cheap

I also use a cheap thinkpad to use for wallets, because I browse porn too much on my main computer

You fagits saying Linux can't be hacked are the dumbest fuckers I have ever seen here. Least install base so less attackers, and open source code, so problems can be fixed, but "unhackable" is a goddamm high bar to set

3 cell internal

Plus a 3 cell and 6 cell external that are hotswap capable. So in a word no.

With just the 6 cell and internal I get over 12hrs.

Thinkpad X220 masterrace for like $200. Max out with used memory and a new SSD.

/g approved

>having to lug around extra batteries

I get 12 hours on my Macbook Air and it weighs less than half as much.

My t440s cost $110.
Then I spent $450 more to get it to my liking.

>best endgame keyboard

Money well spent
