Starting salary for Computer Engineer/Science grad in US

>starting salary for Computer Engineer/Science grad in US
>$100k+
>starting salary for Computer Engineer/Science grad in my country, boasted to be one of the countries in the world with the highest incomes
>$60k, $40k after tax

Life is fucking unfair isn't it?

Don't worry, you'll be replaced by a pajeet soon enough

You're in for a fun time once the app bubble bursts

>$100k
>he hasn't heard about google or facebook

Banking is about 150-170 and the trend is moving from finance to silicon valley. extrapolate

blocks pajeets

pajeet replacement is a total meme. 80 Iq country

>starting salary for M.D. grad in US
>$150k+
>average salary for M.D. grad in my third world turd of a country
>$700

Not even joking. Well, at least my shitcoins will moon, right?

Doesn't stop retard boomers from trying to replace competent programmers with sub-minimum wage pajeets they can lord an H1-b over.

Yes Pajeet, of course they will

>$100k

yeah maybe if ytou're fukcing awful lmfao, if you're remotely competent you should be fetching 180k from startups/major tech corps

that's the correct salary for doctors though

>>average salary for M.D. grad in my third world turd of a country
>>$700

Italian spotted

delete this, makes me even more frustrated

Why would you study computer engineering and earn that peasant salary when you can get a degree in pure mathematics and start off at $300k/year?

Mathematician earns about the same here. What the fuck is wrong with this country

Need to fill quotas regardless of ability

It's okay, i don't know much, but my friend that work as fresh graduate software engineer in my poor third world country is being paid $310 per month. ($3720 per year minus tax and transport and no bonus or other shit)
Game developer got it worse, hey mostly rely on kickstarter for their living rather than their salary.

Delusional NEETs, in order to make 100K USD you need experience and be hired in Silicon Valley.

The starting salary for an undergraduate Comp Eng/Sci is $40K. Get out of the fucking house and see the real world.

I don't understand you first world people that complain about "high taxes", when you have the best public services. Proportionately you will see that you have better cost-benefit than all other shitcountries, that are also fucked by taxes by their government.

Also, most third world countries have disproportionately higher taxes on consumption products, actually making them have a higher overall tax rate than it seems at first.

Seriously, I would not care at all about giving 40%-60% of my income for taxes if it means lower homicide rates, lower crime rates, more government benefits, etc.

Seriously, I was surprised as fuck when I found out that people that lived in projects were considered to be poor. That's a real building, government housing, with plumbing, eletricity, I thought they were low-middle class people.

Poor people in my country have to build their own houses out of whatever material they find, on hills.

Where is that? Ukraine?

>have no special education except apprenticeship
>Service technician
>100k a year

I also unironically like my job

Let me guess, Scandinavia?

America is better than this shithole Europe in every way. People that deserve to earn lots earn lots. People who work low skilled jobs that retarded 5 year olds could do earn peanuts. Fuck this socialist concept of everyone earning the same.

I hope America carpet bombs this place with nukes.

If it makes you feel better I'm in the US doing Web dev and I'm only making 60k in my entry level position

My friend has an internship for $30k for 10 weeks and he's just CS for a prop shop. Tell me who is delusional here

People that live in projects are living there for free. They are literally paid for by the government, but you have to be a shitskin of some kind to actually get it

50k starting in US
150-300k after residency and fellowship (3yrs residency+4 fellowship, 6 school)

Yea when the dotcom bubble 2.0 pops they'll be competing with poojeets for jobs paying $5/day.

you need to consider that burgers have insane cost of living. you can easily pay 1500 USD to live in some shitty cardboard-house in a nigger ghetto over there.

>they are even paid to live there

Oh my god, I was so unlucky to not be born in a first world country.

omitting the burgers taxation
so mutt gets 65k and you 40 what a disaster, snowflake

Yeah I really need to move to the US

Projects might as well be a 3rd world country though, crime rates are insane and niggers kill each other all day. Police literally won't go near

Found the tax cuck

I'm in USA, and I got $50k to start. Granted, it's a goverment contract company, and it's in low-cost, low-tax Florida.

>tfw getting $47k/yr doing embedded software programming
>this is up from $46k when I started last year
>look for similar jobs
>they all pay $55k-$60k for someone with one year of experience (80k-90k in SV/LA/Seattle, but we all know those place are expensive af)

please tell me embedded isn't just a shitty /g/ meme I fell for.

>Move to gated community
>Pay for security cameras, strong doors, barred windows,
>Buy a water filtration system and generator backup

If you are making $100k+ a year, the above is a hell of a lot cheaper than 40-60% of your income in the long run.

With a much lower income, I can see your point.

I mean holy shit is this what you aspire to? To live in the projects as a welfare recipient surrounded by niggers?

I'm a CS grad working as a software engineer and I make $50k in the US, I'm living in the midwest though.

And they will be replaced with advanced AI within 15 years

lmao wagecucks
if you aren't a neet or your own boss you deserve nothing but scorn

I started on 9k/year faggot, deal with it.
Work hard and it actually gets great

This 100%

At least they will be the last who get replaced by AI and then we can say goodbye.

No, my point is that it's better to be poor in a first world country than in a third world country, and that's a good thing for all citizens, because it means lower crime rates, lower homicide rates, lower extreme poverty rates, etc.

And, even if people in projects are killing themselves everyday, the US still has a lower homicide rates than most third world countries. Food for thought.

It's not the end when it happens, it's a new beginning.

whats the salary in your country for unskilled highschool dropout? In america is sucks

Take note OP, This is the reality for a starting Grad in CS on average. Reported numbers are inflated. It's roughly 40-60k in US outside of Silicon Valley, Seattle, Goog, FB, Amazon.
Unless you have a PHD, in which case you'd make >200k. Keep in mind these starting students typically have atleast 30k in debt, more likely 100k. Your country may be a shithole, but that pay isn't so bad.

This, A mare $100k salary in NY or Bay Area will not make you rich. Unless you have a house there already paid for by your parents. It's way less than 100k in most other regions, in rural towns there is hardly any work above setting wordpress for local companies. Remote is an option, but if you actually can get hired remote why stay in US?

haven't had a job in years...used to grow weed had everything stolen from me....just lost all my crypto in a stupid game I fomo'd into

I genuinely don't know what to do

norway here, like 35-40k

So sry

How?
I just got off college, Working for Boeing as an M.E. and starting with 60k
I dont believe new grads get that much staring

Also, get into welding. Research how
Think of me as a sign

Like, 300$ a month.

Making 60 + pretty amazing benefits and retirement contributions 1 year out of college at a gov subcontractor in VA, expecting a 5-8k raise after my first year though. Just providing some anecdotal evidence that 100k+ isn't the norm. I do have an acquaintance that got a job at Amazon fresh out of college though.

>Panama
$500-800

>implying software engineers will ever write or allow AI to replace their own jobs
top kek

>tfw live with parent while working as software engineer
Nothing comfier for a beta loser. I get to contribute to my mother financially while still saving way more from not paying a landlord a small fortune for some crappy 1 room apartment. Also get home cooked meals regularly.
