TA becomes a self fulfilling prophecy. TA only works because everyone thinks it will work, and sell according to patterns.

doesn't matter why it works. what matters is that it does. that being said, by no means does everyone think it works. Most people don't trade based on TA alone. It's still an outside strat even in traditional markets where it's more well established. You'd be hard pressed to find a large population that trades strictly off of TA sigs and doesn't do any fundamental valuation whatsoever.

no it doesnt work like that. retail traders (you and me) dont get to decide shit. institutional traders (banks and firms) are the ones with 90% of the volume, retailers are just 90% of the people. also 90% of the people lose 90% of their money in their first 90 days. brokers entice you to trade as much as possible, guided by "educators" who teach you some stupid analysis and guide you to the platform of the broker they're working for. its called IB contracts (conflict of interest). meanwhile 90% of the regular people are losing trades, guess what the number for banks is? thats right they win 90% of the time. hmm why is that, well if you take a trade on a broker platform the platform automatically takes a second trade against you. you will always lose unless you are trading the way big banks and institutions trade. WHICH MEANS PUTTING IN THE GODDAMN WORK
