same, was actually considering quitting when I was doing well, but now I'm like holy shit glad I didn't quit lol
Don't get cocky. Hopefully the stock and crypto market downturn isn't a sign of something terrible happening to the economy soon.
I fucking wish I had an office job.
Same here fellow janitors.
It's not, at least not yet. It's part correction, part robo trading, part the bond market about to look more attractive. This isn't indicative of economic problems.
I hope so, fuck this world
not that I am proud being a wagecuck or whatever, but a job keep my mind stable in this difficult time. Work in IT so cant get sacked.
My fellow office wagies unite!
> like
> lol
kys
>comfy office job
>debt collection strategy analyst
>gonna get promoted when the recession hits
>M&A Valuation analyst
>IB work with less hours and pay
Feels fine
What kind of office job? What do you do, file reports all day?
I get paid 80k a year to be an IT admin, put out fires once a week, and play games on my phone or watch shows. Benefits are amazing. Even though im in the red a few thousand so far...and was up 20k just a month ago, I think im gonna be okay.
Hey kind of feels good to be a wage cuck about now, as long as you put some effort into getting a decent career and didn't put all your eggs into the crypto basket like an idiot. If you did that then welcome to the low spot on the totem pole, minimum wagie.
>tfw still have to wake up at 4 am to go to work
didnt mind it before, now i cant fucking stand it. if this is the only way to make it then im well fucked
Office fag here, it's not comfy at all, boring as fuck. I spend half the day doing accounting work, the other half just trying to look busy while I watch stock market and business news all day.
Holy F same here, I was considering quitting, I still am hopeful for a bull market to come back and launch me in a different directions. For now I will continue to work, office job is not that bad, but also not what i want to do anymore.
Should have been a programmer. At least its engaging
Network engineer, work is like fire fighter, normally quite free but when shit happens, it sucks.
work at an online company doing post order control. pretty relaxed but like any work, it can be tolling.
im not selling shit because crypto is my plan to escpae from the workforce. im playing the long game and not looking to sell for 3-5 years. fingers fucking crossed because plan b is nonexistent atm
I like have the rope ready lol but the rockets are just r-refueling r-right?
eh I work for the government so that shit doesn't affect me much, but I can always be fired for being an autist so you're right that it's retarded to brag
sounds comfy, how to get this job? start with comptia A+?
Wagecuck here. Made about $150k last year. Abused credit card signup bonuses to buy rig equipment from China at a discount, kept some of it for myself, sold the rest at a profit to people who think it's worth something, easily broke even. Now I have a small ETH rig bringing in some money. So long as ETH keeps above $380 I'll continue to make a profit for nothing. I cash out every payout and never hold longer than GDAX makes me. Not mad at all.
Are you a programmer biz bro? I am going to start to learn slowly, in Python, thinking of switching careers to that if I can pull it off.
>office job
>janitors.
Learn something that has demand like .NET/C#. Python is good entry level shit, but don't stick with that.
>glorious
Im not really into biz just here because of recent events and to laugh at buttcoiners
Also i so java. Java and .net are highest damand in my city, also javascript but it sucks to work with
I'm an insurance adjuster and make $60k a year doing not a damn thing. Thanks to Trump my company has handed me a $5k bonus.
This market needs to stay down so I can accumulate a bit more. I'm completely fine with crypto being a fun side game.
What do you do in an office job that isn't accounting or programming or system administration..?
CIA Nigger spotted
Same here, work as a Operation Data Manager, pretty Chill, but I do not want to get comfortable, I want to go to the next Level, If my Crypto Investments blow up it will give me the time to go back to take some courses I been wanting to do, also I want to try to see if i can get in to coding/programming. I see that it is well paid.
>.NET/C#
>not entry level
holy fuck learn a real language like C/C++ you fucking brainlet
Stay with it user, getting paid to browse Chrome in air conditioning is more than ok.
I make twice that at my insurance gig, but im in my early 30s, also not doing a damn thing.
bash python and julia are god tier science tools. Rest are coal mining app dev tier
Fucking hope so. Bring it.
I know all of the mentioned languages quite well, thank you. I wouldn't have been able to optimize ethminer to my rig if I didn't, something a brainlet like you wouldn't be able to wrap your tiny head around. Besides that, I was talking about demand, which C/C++ doesn't have nearly enough of compared to .NET.
Go troll elsewhere, moron.
How is the work environment Biz Bros? I don't want to be stuck in a building all day long, the goal is to brake off from wage cucking, if I can work independently in projects and go 2-3 days in to the office that is the dream right there, and still make a good living. Currently I have to do be in the office 40 hours a week, I hate it, even tough I can finish my work in 3 days.
I have friends who program from home all the time or half the week. I think its depressing and would rather go to the office
I lead a development team(both onshore and offshore) at a very large P&C insurance company. I probably go in about 3 times a week, work from my home office the rest, although I might go in more if it was closer. It has its costs.
D E L E T

I just want something to go right at least once in my fucking life.
I agree it is, that's why there has to be a balance, 2-3 days in the office and the rest free. Making a good income, and dick around most of the time.
this
You're right. I like the balance. In the office, it's easy to get interrupted constantly and not get shit done. It's just about inevitable. Taking a couple days a week to avoid a nearly 2 hour round trip commute and actually be productive is nice. The downside is less visibility.
>tfw no Veeky Forumsbro in a high up position to give me an office job and change my life
I want nothing else than to break free from this neet hell I've been living
How hard is it to get in to coding/programming? I have a well ok computer back ground and always apply myself. I am currently a manager but want to go in to that, i feel coding might be difficult not not impossible.
In my city there is a programming job on every corner for some reason. I have a 10 minute commute, greatly improves my waulity of life. Also i pick my hours and skip lunch and do 8 and come home
Its pretty hard to tech yourself everything, i learn a lot from working with other devs
BITCOIN IS FINISHED & BANKRUPT!
I hire all the time biz bro, what do you want to break away from? explain your neet hell situation?
data entry slave work
consulting
o yea I am thinking of taking classes for it, going trough the books and once I am confident take the risk to get a entry level job and learn from the top people
Sales, HR, marketing, things like that. Basically every industry has those kind of auxiliary functions done in offices.
First thing you need to know is that, by nature, it's a completely self starter position. I recently had a systems analyst that "wanted to get into coding". He wanted to jump right in.
Fortunately my company offered him a multi-week program that was kind of a Java deep swim. It at least taught him enough to be able to communicate basic things with me without sounding like an idiot. I'm still mentoring him but he's taking the effort to do as much as he can without asking me, which is amazing. That's the kind of dev I want. You are constantly learning something new, almost every day. If you're not into that, it's not for you.
Before I found out about my company's offering, I saw a few resources online. Coursera has a course to get into development. I never took a close look at it, but I looked at the syllabus and it seemed pretty solid. It didn't just get into the geeky stuff but explained a lot of concepts as to why and other intuition. Look into it.
After that, find some entry level work to do, or just find a simple idea you like and make it happen. Practice makes perfect. I'm sure you can find someone who would take you in at entry level, eventually. You probably won't make as much(depending on where you're managing), but that's the leap you'll have to take.
Good luck, user.
trips and 15k tomm
user what city are you in?
tfw at least I have a comfy rating job that I can do from home. It may not be much, but it's enough, and at least I don't have to interact with people, or deal with traffic, haha... >.>
I want 2008 level blood. Destroy this world I’m done.
I quit after just two months. This is hell, I have no idea how anyone can be doing this for at least 30 years.
How do i convince a friend not to be a banker amidst all these crashes?
Or am i actually overreacting and his job is safe for years to come. He helped me out many times in the past, i would really hate to seem him crash and burn
This one looked pretty solid if you're coming from the ground up. If you can make it through this and not get bored, there are more advanced specializations that will get you up to speed with actual devs.
I've just been doing nothing for too long, I've made a bit here and there to afford basics from various things on the internet but I really need to get back into life. A job that was good enough that trained me I would honestly be willing to do no matter what it was and would be willing to relocate for it even. I've got the drive I just need a foot in the door somewhere.
Im getting a bachelors degree in computer science and im doing fine in all of it except for coding
I dont know why but I just dont get it, any tips m8?
Thanks user, for your solid answer. I like to learn something every day, and I push myself to be independent on everything I do. I have reached the Zenith of my career and want to move on to new things, and this industry I found is the next level for me.
Am not him but Im neet and need a job. Im a webshit I only know javascript, react, html css and stuff.
Yeah, buddy, doesn't sound like drive to me. Even if you're working at McDonald's because that's the best you can do, that's admirable. Sitting around and waiting for the right opportunity doesn't sound like a "I'm gonna go for it" kind of person. Nobody wants to hire deadweight. My first job was delivering newspapers(illegally) at 13, and dishwashing at my local pizza place at 15. At least get something where they don't give a shit if you don't even show up and prove yourself responsible. You're definitely not going to better your situation if you can't at least situate that grounding/foundation.
Hell yea thank you user, this is what Biz should always be. I will take a good look at it, and try it. Might as well I am not doing shit anymore just, Crypto Porn and collecting my salary. Time to move up to the next level.
Just gonna have to put in that extra time. Once you feel comfortable enough, there are entry-level positions out there. The problem is with people who are at "zenith" is that they have golden handcuffs on. My brother is in this position. He wants to switch careers, and even though his pay isn't that great, taking an entry level job in a switch simply isn't affordable. I haven't figured out a solution to this problem other than figuring out how to suck it up and doing your time. It will pay off if you're good. Other than that, I'm of no help. Sorry.
The fact you even care gives you a leg up on most people. Just get it done.
digusting bitch
>bragging about being a wagie
the absolute STATE
hey / biz/,
I inherited $5k from my grandmother and I'd like to invest part of it on cryptocoins. however, I know almost nothing about them.
Thanks user, yea I mean i am dam good at my EDI management job, always problem solving every day, but I feel my talent is being wasted there, i want a challenge and this one i feel is worth the risk, and I can always just come back to the industry I am in.
Don't do it, boy. You take grandma's money and bury it in the backyard where it'll be safe.
>tfw too hoped cryptos I received would increase in value so I could get out of venezuela faster
Welp, I won't be getting out of here soon I guess
I turned my resignation last December since I boasted I was making bank at BTC. Now I had to take it back and beg like a fucking dog. Fuck this shit
well, she left me $5k and I don't need them at all. I am still a wagecuck earning more than enough money and right now seems that prices of cryptocoins are going down.
You sound Young user, I was once like you, and feared what the future would be, so I kept putting pressure on myself to do better, save more, work a better job, No one is going to change your life for your biz bro but yourself. All the Memes and Trolling s and the Crypto Moon Missions, are fun as hell. But you need to get up and do something, i recommend you even go for walks, get up and think. Go apply at jobs that you may not eve be qualified for, fuck it, That's how I made it up where I am now.
What do you think he would say if he saw his future?
If you're into solving business solutions, then development is an excellent field for that. Imagine any of the manual processes you have to deal with that could be solved by a computer, or at least organized by one. Reports, inventory, automation. It's all about spending a little money on software to reduce overall operational expenses. Business loves it and that's where I strive.
> mfw work an office job that has an ever increasing income stream for little work
> mfw invest in stocks, crypto & precious metals
Got all my bases covered except only have 1 property. Fuck everything, I hope it burns and I profit for my family
Sign up on some robo-advisor like wealthfront, dump your money in and call it a day. Crypto is dumb. I participate and make money off of being a provider to people who think this is a good field, a lot more than I would had I bought into it. The prices are dying off a little faster than I expected, but people are still buying this shit and business is good. A fool and his money are soon departed.
What do you do now?
get an actual financial advisor you mong
What are you having trouble with?
Hell yea I am going to start ASAP. One of my assistants gave me the Python and CC++ from Amazon digital books for free.
Working at mcdonalds isn't really going to help my life I'm fairly sure. I do need an entry level position and a good foundation but at a place that I can at the very least learn something that will help my future, even if its how to do something really simple.
I've been too caught up in the neet digital world being how young I am, you're right on that. I've already started applying and been aiming pretty low but I'll take a wider look at what I can do.
sauce plox
Neither Python or C++ has a huge market demand. Python is going to teach you bad habits, C++ is too hard to start with and will probably discourage you.
Take that course. Don't waste your time on either of those.
>tfw haven't invested in crypto yet
>ask Veeky Forums for advice on when to buy, user says wait a month
>I wait a month
>This happens
Thanks user. Watching this crash has been a roller coaster. Just waiting to reach that floor.
Live with parent while doing a masters in applied maths. The school pays me to study, so I do get some shekels to cooperate. I have no idea what to do with the degree, however.
What I did beforehand was being an excel spreadsheet slave. It paid well those two months, but I legitimately wanted to kill myself. I almost went NEET for almost an entire year since I quit right after applications popped up. Did some tutoring here and there while I waited.
blonde is elsa jean
Fuck but I work at 7-11 OP. Crypto was gonna free me from the chains WTF!
Do you have a track record of staying at a job for a meaningful amount of time, or even showing up on time on a daily basis? Unless you come from an Ivy League school, or you lie on your resume(you have a resume, right?), there's little chance you would even get a callback. That's the problem though, at least get to the interview. From what you're telling us, I'm not even sure you'll get that.
I recommend you apply for any computer work, Data Entry, etc EDI, check Indeed for Computer work. Also the gov was short on computer white hat hackers, they where even offering a full paid program. If you are in the US look in to that. Also apply to work for the City, dude do anything and everything to go up.
this right here
Thanks user, that assistant is Creepy and arrogant, I told him he needs a course, I always see him struggling in lunch time to do his coding, but hes too arrogant to get a course, f that I'm going back to my local community college for that.
