I will now give a summary of why I see a bright future for this coin and why you should join it.
The first reason is the pay per download model. Since the rise of paid newsgroups, torrents have been in a downfall. The main reason is the lack of seeders of old files and sometimes also new files. This is due to the fact that there is no incentive to be a seeder. There are private torrent sites which offer the same as vTorrent, but these are often closed for registration and hard to get in to (I am looking at you torrentleech). The amount of content is also limited and finding old files is out of the question. With vTorrent there is an incentive to become a professional seeder. Do you want to make money with torrents? Well, now you can. If you can offer the community quality content which hasn't been shared before you alone hold the exclusive rights to seed it until other people downloaded the file and start seeding too. This very fact could make seeding farms a real thing, which contributes to society, unlike mining coins which only benefit yourself. You want a special file, you will have to submit a bid in the encrypted group chats integrated into the vTorrent client to find a person willing to share it with you. Hoarding special files that could become relevant again in the future could become a huge market (i.e Music video, old movies)

The ecosystem of torrents will radically change. The current torrent market is a competition between multiple big players aiming to be the first to release the latest movies like YIFY. He will only provide the community with content which he knows is a market for and will be seeded for a long time. With the added reward of vTorrent there will be new groups popping up aiming to make money by providing more content than the competitors. This will create this whole new sector of people making and sharing more content because even if the demand may be small, the price can be set higher because people are more willing to pay for it.

If we take the hypothetical number of 1 million users 1 year after platform launch, we could see the following division of funds.
75% - Stakers and big players investing into future price rises
15% - Seeder farms looking to stake their coins and accumulate to increase the value of the coin
10% - Downloaders
With an ever-growing user base (internet is still only used by a small portion of the population) you can see why this coin can become valuable. Stakers are staking because the interest paid is low risk, with the added reward of possible price increases. Seeders are holding the coins because they want the supply to be scarce and downloaders need them to download special files or common files at maximum speed.

Last time I checked, this was a dead shitcoin with an absent dev. The only source of info on this coin came from a random forum, in which the dev would only posted twice a year.

The developer became a lot more active since 1.5 months. He has been releasing a beta of the new wallet once every 10 days, now we are at Release Candidate 4. The next release will be the full wallet, complete with torrent functionality (but still no swap to the zcash protocol, that will come with the next version of the wallet).

Upfiring is vaporware created just to get ICO money from crypto noobs, VTR is a complete product in development for 3 years, no ICO and fair distribution.

Of course, the technicals of the project are still not fully disclosed ( the source code will be released in the coming week) and it is quite optimistic to assume a 1 million user base, but I for one can see the potential for the coin. The current market cap is low, you can't dispute that looking at other coins. A ZEC zero-knowledge fork is on the agenda to make this coin 100% anonymous and untraceable.

Private trackers will be able to use vtorrent. Besides, what is the point of having private trackers when you haven an uncensorable, decentralized and anonymous client? You can literally get rid of them.
