Automating a car factory, for example, requires an extraordinary amount of capital investment. This isn't a mining venture. Those who have the capital to begin this process will be the first movers. Would this not lead to a greater centralization of pre-existing wealth as humans are laid off?

2.) renting out the automated infrastructure as nodes on a decentralized network. you receive a founders fee and investments are governed via a treasury system. the cost of the cars are just low enough to cover the mining fee, founders fee, and treasury fee. the initial investment is covered through founders fee and appreciation of the crypto as the network grows.

now let's see for second, disregarding profits: which one is more sustainable in the long run? company 1 will inevitably lose out to company 2 because the same car is cheaper, and more people benefit from the profits.
