/fundamentals/ thread

you forgot the point of crypto.
this was never about fast bank transfers. this was never about kyc, or *securities* or *asset backed tokens*. fuck all of that shit.

do you remember 2010? do you remember what we said when bitcoin came into popular consciousness?

"this will be the death of the nation state".

anons. fuck your shitcoins. quit your job. forget 'making it' you pathetic piece of shit. what is 'making it'? you want to be another pathetic materialist fuckhead like Tai Lopez who can't think about anything except pussy long enough to generate a coherent thought?

there is only one goal here. not to make money, but to bring down the entire corrupt system and replace it with something that can't be replaced, by providing ultimate fairness and equality of profit distribution, where anyone can participate and generate enough income to survive with a meager investment. this IS about fucking the banks, and the government, and the ISPs, and the credit bureaus, and every corporation that sustains itself by degrading the quality of life, taste, and potential of society.

this thread isn't about /fundamentals/ of shitcoins that will moon and make your measly 20k into 1m. who cares about that shit. food is cheap. this is about YOUR fundamentals. you grew up on mommies milkies, video games and shitposting. it's time to grow up and realize why you're here.

this is Veeky Forums. business is about economic strategy. i have news for you: nothing will stop decentralization of the entire economy and systems of governance. the question is: will you waste your time gambling on shitcoins and ignoring the most important revolution in the history of civilization? or will you contribute something?

What are your favorite coins?
I'm guessing BTC, ETH, XMR?

j-julian?
also y pic of skelly lol?
also shill me on cryptoanarchism

>this IS about fucking the banks,
>and the government,
>and the ISPs,
>and the credit bureaus,
>and every corporation that sustains itself by degrading the quality of life, taste, and potential of society.

Could've saved us all some time by just shortening that to THE JEWS.

>"this will be the death of the nation state".
Eroding the nation-state and merging the planet whether it be by borderless supercapitalism or international communism is a Jewish project. The Jew World Order is to have humanity (goyim) enslaved to (((God's Chosen People))) led from the headquarters/crime base of Israel.

The point of crypto was to get rich fast without trying and buying lambo instead of wagecucking 40 hours

sorry ancap outsiders, the system has been compromised. the threat has been neutralized. BTC's been scooped up by elite moneyed interests (hedge funds, Silicon valley millionaires and soon, Wall St.) Crypto-enthusiasts are more into lambos, memes and escorts than overthrowing the nation state. it's over.

>no more nation states
>America becomes mexican/asian/indian/black majority
I love open borders!

I remember 2010. Julian Assange was a revolutionary libtard who was going to expose all the authoritarian elites dirty secrets.
Bitcoin was supposed to bring down banking.

Fast forward to 2018.
Wikileaks has only ever leaked shit from people who actually like democracy while it's protected dictators around the world, unless those dictators were anti-russian.
Bitcoin transaction is being tracked and taxed by governments and the crypto currency with the most actual usecases and backing is a centralized jew coin named ripple.

those are all good. ultimately i don't care about the coins. i care about the networks. i admire the ETH devs, they have a very good long-term perspective and aren't willing to sacrifice their values for short-term fixes to network problems. they also value privacy, but we'll have to wait a couple years before we see private contracts.

XMR devs are intolerable. the coin is decent, but i don't think it will survive. they seem too concerned with their own coin and not enough with higher values. ZEC is my privacy coin of choice. it will be around for decades.

i like networks that are attempting to maximize value for nodes and coinholders. BTC will make a good store of value once everything is valued in sats.

BTC tracking doesn't matter if you wash your funds through a privacy coin first.

>Wikileaks has only ever leaked shit from people who actually like democracy while it's protected dictators around the world, unless those dictators were anti-russian.

i can't speak for wikileaks' motivations or their ethics. they've done a good job trying to alert US citizens to hypocrisies within their own system. i'm sure they're not entirely unbiased. but they don't spread blatantly false information, and it has some real political relevance, and that's as much as you can ask for these days.

I have a feeling you don't like ripple very much.

You seem like a guy that would like PRL

this is my point. Crypto is about trying to build something where wealth doesn't matter. where it doesn't govern anything, where it may be able to buy you lambos, but not power over other people.

it doesn't matter who 'took crypto over' or who made money from it. that's entirely beside the point. the goal is to build something which can't be taken over.

> private contracts
how do you feel about enigma?
I share your sentiments on crypto.

>the coin is decent, ZEC is my privacy coin of choice.

zec=shitcoin

>the goal is to build something which can't be taken over.
Do you think we're still moving in that direction? Ultimately, as things progress, there will be a diversity of opinion, and heterogenous solutions. If one becomes too centralized or controlled for the various network players, there will be demand for another decentralized network, will there not?

you're talking about centralization, still. you completely miss the point.

if this is your real opinion, and you don't have the capacity to post anything other than sarcastic remarks because ultimately you don't know what you really think, i suggest taking a break from shitposting to sort out your thoughts, maybe develop a personality.

if you actually believe in the 'jews taking over', well you're literally retarded.

>but they don't spread blatantly false information,
This is true, but I think they've done far more damage than good. By only exposing the people who like democracy they've made it much easier for tyrants to take over.
I mean, isn't it odd that they've never leaked a single thing from Russia, Republicans or Trump?
You'd think they'd want to leak Trump's tax-returns, right? Guess not.

ok let's do all that after i get rich tho

>when you watch braveheart too many times

again, because the devs have a longer-term perspective than almost anyone in crypto.

scalability is a meme right now. we need innovation in fundamentals. they delivered. they only care about maximizing privacy for transactions and that's all they need to care about. their innovations will trickle down into other coins over time. ultimately they will never go away.

why didn't you leak trump's tax returns then?

it's not wikileaks' job to be the savior of humanity. that's your job.

>muh democracy
>Implying dictators aren't the good guys

nice shilling for ZOG you stupid fucking faggot

>BTC tracking doesn't matter if you wash your funds through a privacy coin first.

please explain desu, if we can get the IRS Jews off our backs for the incoming lambo gains I'm all ears

never seen it. but from what i've gleaned it emphasizes independence from tyrannical authority.

something bad about that, 'cuck'?

buy zcash, do a private transaction to another address, buy bitcoin on a DEX.

unfortunately we don't have liquid atomic swaps or cross-chain value transfers yet. but we will. until then BTC can't serve its true purpose.

you could also just hold btc without trading on an exchange, then swap it on a dex. IRS probably would not come after you, since you could claim it was a wallet transfer.

thanks senpai

pic of skelly because he understands why he dedicated his life to this. hint: it's not to get rich, or to generate returns for 'investors'.

you want a shill on crypto-anarchism?
why do i need to shill you? look around you. look at all the bullshit you have, and all the useless utterly retarded thoughts you have throughout the day about what's going wrong for you.

now think about the millions of people who live day-to-day, who look at the rest of the world and see clearly how few fucks are given about them, with the billions of useless dollars floating around. imagine how they feel, when they realize most of the world doesn't regard them with enough significance to justify their existence.

now look at your own pathetic life again. what do you have that you actually value? despite the fact you were given all the time and resources in the world to generate something that might have value. you have nothing, and the reason is because there is nothing that society values. there are no values. there is only money. this is the most pathetic existence for any human, and yet it has taken over most of our world.

why? because of centralization. because centralized authorities control what people think and feel. they control their values, and they give them nothing, because values would be a danger to the greed which sustains their existence.

> when moon?

Ah, I remember when I was 19 and full of hope and angst.

You'll learn OP, you'll learn.

Thank you user well said, it's about removing the requirement to place trust in centralized authorities, and instead placing it in the rules of mathematics itself, specifically in the laws of thermodynamics that pertain to computational devices. This is not going away, this is the real deal, this is the most important revolution in the history of humanity. This was and is the main discovery that the distribution of portable computers was going to enable. Not cat pictures, not Facebook - this.

youtu.be/GN-vMMpja30?t=495

Copy the link for the correct time

>BTC, ETH, XMR
Not OP but for me personally, those are the only coins I care about. I don't care about any other coins.

where does that pessimism and sarcasm come from, do you think? i have a good idea.

let me guess, every time someone expresses some thought which is deeply significant to them, you have a dozen sarcastic responses popping into your head justifying why you're unable to form and values yourself.

sorry you grew up in the 70s and 80s and you were fed that bullshit on seinfeld.

I agree with your post 100%, any time someone says something important they make jokes and call you a fedora - fuck those people. Just ignore them user, it's always brainlets who are trying to pretend to be smart but they're really just idiots - when pressed they can't come up with coherent thoughts themselves. Forget them user and keep saying the important things, keep being serious, keep caring about things user

You're just young and naive. Easy to see it from those of us who have been around the block.

Nothing will change unless it has to. People will not take power back until that power destroys itself. Things need to get 100x worse for anyone to get off their asses and change the world.

It will happen, but it will probably be too late by then.

Sorry you grew up in the past ten years and got fed endless political correctness and white guilt as if it was gospel despite the fact that every other generation was able to register it as it is, a joke

Nice just bought 100k

bump

It's already happening user, you're the one being naive. I don't need banks anymore - I am personally migrating to crypto entirely. That's one less customer with a high cash flow account who will be moving off the banking system once it's feasible

You think every revolution is big and loud and dramatic - no, some are simply the result of extended periods of incumbents being drained dry of their customers. Old crowded places being empty, sitting around waiting to be full again, thinking it will happen, but it won't

Once you switch to crypto and you have to step foot in a bank again and see these minimum wage people handling your account, seeing your balances, depositing your money for you - you realize how archaic this is and how in a few decades we will look back and wonder how we lived this way, how we trusted a system so prone to corruption and human error

ZEC has no future because it's a subset of ethereum.
Ethereum can do zk-snarks.
ZEC would be different without transparent transactions, right now shielded addresses only serve as a mixer.

Gtfo with your commie garbage
>Muh fair distribution
>Everybody should have enough money from a meager investment
How delusional can one be?
I honestly think you believe that the govt printing a million dollars for everyone would make everyone rich, worked great for Zimbabwe!
hint: value is relative

Look man, I want crypto to take over the fucked shit we got now, but only like .05% of the people even own this shit. I have a small candle flame of hope, but everything in my experience has taught me that they always win, ALWAYS.

They have won since over a thousand years before you were born. They will take over what you love and twist it into something of their own and rule you with that.

His tax returns were leaked idiot. Just not by Wikileaks. My god commies are idiots. Consider suicide.

>t. brainlet who doesn't understand what he's talking about
Nobody has said anything like that, please sudoku NOW and delet this post before you embarass yourself

If "they" are winning then we can just start using a new cryptocurrency or alternative chain, the power is all in our hands now don't you get it

Nah, this is about replacing the current elite with a new elite, the cryptoelite.

How fucking young and stupid are you?

They can regulate the fuck out of it if they start to lose money. They own the fucking internet, they own you. You have absolutly no fucking idea how much you are owned by them. They allow you a small room to run around in and you think you can make these "revolutionary" choices. If their power were really to become threatened, they would CRUSH the entire thing under a single pinky.

Very well put.

This won't be the death of a nation state, this will be the death of a welfare state.
I want a minarchist night watch state + roads (muh roads) financed by the land value tax and road tolls.

>Nothing will change unless it has to
tell me, which technology 'had to' be invented?

>People will not take power back until that power destroys itself.
the entire point of crypto-economics is that it's in people's best economic interest to participate, and therefore power is transferred as a result, not as the primary goal. for designers however, this should be the primary goal for long-term considerations.

>Things need to get 100x worse for anyone to get off their asses and change the world.
see my first point. the world is constantly being changed by people. whether or not it's getting better depends on your perspective, but by every economic indicator and potential for time spent on culture development, it's better. i agree, in terms of actual cultural development, it hasn't gotten better.

>It will happen, but it will probably be too late by then.
it's only too late when the bombs are dropped, user. my point is that shitposting doesn't get us there.

i'm naive. fine. but i'm not young. i understand working day in day out wreaks havoc on your creative psychology. name any serious entrepreneur, scientist, inventor, they're all naive as fuck. they use it as a tool to spur creativity. you can't have creativity without innocence and abondonment, and you can't have those without naivete.

where did i say anything about political correctness? holy shit anti-PC people are just as bad as SJWs, how do you not see this? no one in their right mind gives a flying fuck about political correctness.

If they truly had absolute power, they would've killed the internet a long time ago.

Pessimism about the system has been around for a long time, and it does seem to be the most rational response. The only real reason to be optimistic is because of the potential of new technology:

youtube.com/watch?v=C0R9kx-qsvI

Really enlightening talk by Thiel. Technology is literally in a race to escape this black hole of state-control before it collapses in on itself.

My baby's first revolutionary thoughts
Kid unless youre going to be a lenin or something (which still makes you a dick imho) you arent going to change the world by posting blogs in Veeky Forums
Go start a business or organization that promotes your values. Start small then be big, maybe one day youll have your moment but dont count on it

Second guy you replied to clearly has no idea about what's being discussed

as the economy becomes increasingly automated, sectors than are highly automated will be the first to see extreme decentralization, because the same services can be provided which individuals running nodes and generating passive income.

in this scenario, 'mining' or node-running would be a new enterprise, in which anyone can participate strategically and generate income. it wouldn't be passive income though, as the field would be constantly changing. it could be, but that isn't a requirement.

this is what i mean by 'meager investment'. you can participate in validating a network and generate income. you can invest that income in validating more networks.

wealth consolidation is currently a problem in crypto. it's not profitable for someone in africa to run a bitcoin miner, for instance. but it will be profitable for them to participate in other networks which require higher levels of interactivity.

>crypto was about communism

All this whining about the wealthy elite, muh jews, etc. when deep down you just want to replace them.

jews represent a disproportionate part of these categories you listed to an extent unexplainable statistically, even with IQ variance taken into account
ultimately, the death of the nation state is what people like george soros, the rothschilds, basically every jewish billionaire advocate for. once meaningful group identity is abolished for the masses, accumulated capital is free to control everything
there will never be any fair distribution of the trillions elites already own, you're out of your mind to think that. they don't NEED to make money. these people have enough resources to buy you and your family for the next ten generations
for fuck's sake, bitcoin has been bought out by venture capital controlled by AXA insurances, the CEO of which is the chairman of Bilderberg meetings. and here you are advocating for bitcoin as a revolution while covering your ears the moment someone says the word "jew", repeating the same mistakes made thorough history due to some weird hangup about seeing the truth in this particular instance
in time ETH will be bought out as well, guaranteed

>ZEC is my privacy coin of choice. it will be around for decades.
and still, zec can be tracked

And then we will create a revolution and overthrow them for being corrupt. The US has a constitution they must follow and if they overreach too far they will be ousted

i'm sorry that you paid so much attention to failed revolutionary attempts that you can't comprehend the idea of a new technology actually disrupting the economy.

this isn't like other technological disruptions. the internet was disruptive because it partially decentralized things (see cloud computing for example). but obviously it just resulted in more monopolies.

crypto will result in mining monopolies, true. but unlike that other industries, you can copy-paste the entire god-damn infrastructure and change the rules. i'm sorry if you can't see this.

t. leftypol

I disagree.
Automating a car factory, for example, requires an extraordinary amount of capital investment. This isn't a mining venture. Those who have the capital to begin this process will be the first movers. Would this not lead to a greater centralization of pre-existing wealth as humans are laid off?

I wonder where those same people will end up spending their time and where they'd create value. It's hard to fathom how the world will change once wealth and power are decoupled.

my point is that it doesn't matter if someone 'buys it out'.

say someone buys all eth in existence. what would we do?
fork the shit out of it. then wouldn't they just sell their eth and buy the new eth? who the fuck would buy their useless eth?

this is why it's important. you can't control a crypto network without destroying it.

Yes goys! Communism for all! Eeks this is so exciting reddit!

> muh reddit communism bait

true. i was referring more to things that are completely automated, currently these are mostly just web apps and cloud platforms.

but running with your example: let's say you invest a huge amount of capital into an automated car manufacturing company.

which is more profitable for you:
1.) producing and selling all the cars yourself, attempting to get the highest price possible per car and allocating all investments.
2.) renting out the automated infrastructure as nodes on a decentralized network. you receive a founders fee and investments are governed via a treasury system. the cost of the cars are just low enough to cover the mining fee, founders fee, and treasury fee. the initial investment is covered through founders fee and appreciation of the crypto as the network grows.

now let's see for second, disregarding profits: which one is more sustainable in the long run? company 1 will inevitably lose out to company 2 because the same car is cheaper, and more people benefit from the profits.

yes, it's not a perfect example. there are problems. but i think in the long run, this is the sort of thing we will see more of.

>anyone can participate and generate enough income to survive with a meager investment
You fucked up, kid. Get your socialism out of my crypto.

Not really, that is just a bump in the road. BTC is not the goal here, cryptocurrency is, let wallstreet burn their money especulating on it while those that are here for the long run just quietly sell at a profit and move to a better coin.

/pol/, please get the fuck out of here, you are too dumb for this discussion.

And that is why you will remain poor.

You clearly don't understand that the majority of people just move there to escape shitty governments and/or for welfare. In a world without both, mexicans probably would just return to their families, blacks would remain in Africa and chinese would stop bothering learning english.

People being taxed are people here for the wrong reasons. They deserve to be fucked.

i guess the thread is over.

in summation, the point that i was trying to make was..... buy LINK $100 eoy

> providing ultimate fairness and equality of profit distribution

Dude Satoshi was a libertarian not a socialist commie you fucking retard

equality of opportunity is not equality of outcome.
equality of profit distribution is meant in terms of accessibility, not ultimate outcome.

I think OP is not a commie he is making a good point new decentralized world governance is the future

human cant live without hierarchy

sorry user, there will always be us vs them, plebs vs patricians

i don't disgree there will be inequality of outcome.

i regret my wording in the original post. it caused some confusion. see

i just take for granted that the idea of equal outcome for all is so utterly retarded that no one would have interpreted my words that would and would have assumed that i meant equal opportunity.

>distribution is accessibility
Kys

how is it not? jk i'm going to bed. revolution postponed until tomorrow.

this

todays developers will be the ruling elite in 100years

there wont be national or geographical borders, we wont be separated by our political affiliation (this is apparent from current status of left and right, they are both obsolete and politics has been reduced to clickbaits metaphorically speaking) but we will be separated /somehow/ into our preffered DAO (or future equivalent) stakeholders/miners will be the executive ruling elite and devs will be the tyrants of those times.

If u cant see this right now I think you must be blind. The fandom of certain brand or sporteam is what will happen but other than a sport team there will be all-encompassing world computer systems

no, it wont ever be non-hierarchical

its the same feudalist thing over and over again with different dialectics

Stop making me feel things, I didn't ask for this

>ultimate fairness and equality of profit distribution
there are no cryptocoins that deliver this right now, they are extremely unequal favoring early adopters and whales

and there never be system like that

dispersion means disappearance

decentralization is a meme

As an ancap I agree entirely with your post, though of course, if you're other kind of anarchist our views will wildly differ.

I'll admit I'm partly doing this for the money as a filthy daytrader. However I live in a country whose economy is heavily regulated, bankers have immense profits, and we work most part of our weekdays to pay taxes. It's an alternative to what many call "wagecucking"; I disagree that all forms of wage is slavery, though I for one cannot stand the corporate asskissing life. So, for short term, I'm speculating in hope of escaping such fate - been doing that somewhat succesfully desu - but for long term, I wish for fiat currency to be replaced with better alternatives, whether it's crypto or a return to gold-backed currencies.

>if you actually believe in the 'jews taking over', well you're literally retarded.
Are you trying to tell us that you've never noticed the overwhelming jewish dominance over banking, media and politics?

>our other views*
fixed

>I wish for fiat currency to be replaced with better alternatives, whether it's crypto or a return to gold-backed currencies.
whishful utopian never-realizable thinking

I know, these are all threats to the status quo.

are u fucking serious?

there is no conspiracy

things are like they are due to history and human nature

no they arent really

because they cant work

I would love to live in a society that isnt thisbut its impossible

ultimate redpill is Catholicism btw

or not?

pic related

kys you ignore-ant piece of shit. No conspiracy my ass. If you can't even perceive simple patterns and systems stay out of discussions.

>patterns
>muh look at this pic of media executives, they are al jooos!!! mind=blown

If everyone was given an equal amount of money the same people would become rich. Just as in a game that is absolutely unbiased the most skilled players will score the most points.

this

Nice try, Shlomo.

>brings up feudalism
>fails to see that he's a (primarily jewish) central banker serf

>They have won since over a thousand years before you were born.

Well said. A lot of teeny boppers itt. Here's what will happen. Either you will make enough in cryptocurrency in terms of fiat that you will be able to retain both and live off of passive income using fiat for bills, taxes, and other general expenses. Or you won't make it in crypto and will decide to cash out your gains/losses in terms of fiat.

Blockchain will certainly revolutionize the fintech industry but the socioeconomics behind banks and fiat won't go anywhere.

People that scream 'there is no conspiracy' are literally retarded monkey tier humans. Please kys so you don't pass on your retardedness to the next generation

>said the 110 IQ retard that cant into abstract thinking
feudalism, capitalism, communism, the idea of division between us vs them is the same it doesn't matter how u name it retard

U okay user?

revolution implies we're going back to something

don't you mean the most important evolution in the history of civilization?
