Step 2: Complete a residency in a procedure heavy field.
Step 3: Make $400K a year. Park $80K annually in mutual funds and $20K in single stocks if you know what you're doing.
Step 4: Millionaire within 10 years. Should also have your student loans paid off.
Step 5: Work another 5 years, investing $200k a year.

Then retire. You should be able to just pull 100k a year for pretty much the rest of your life. Maybe work a few more years if you have some big lifestyle wants like vacation homes or lambos.

freedom to move regularly, to not waste time caring about property issues, etc. renting above a certain threshold is a different game than the renting most people are accustomed to, it's a lot more like staying in a hotel in terms of service.
