I have tought about Motorcycles before. Use little space, spend little gas, and look cool as fuck.
However, they are too risky for my taste. Already know like 3 people who had accidents on them. I trust my ability not to crash, but I can't speak for the stupidity of the average driver. Already on a car i had 1 crash due to an idiot not looking that i had to stop 5 seconds before. My truck got out intact, but i know that if i was on a Motorcycle it could have sent me to the hospital (the other dude's car got wrecked)

Personally i drive an old Toyota tercel. The old owner preserved it pretty well, it drives pretty nicely and feels very nimble, abundant and cheap spare parts and only costed like 2K.
But shit, I'd love to have a Porsche.

The price difference between buying new and used is fucking staggering. Oftentimes you can buy a vehicle at 20,000 or 30,000 miles for half the price or LESS than half of a new vehicle.

I'm not advocating buying some 100,000 mile clunker pile of shit, but buying a lightly used vehicle is the smartest decision you can make when it comes to this shit.

It really depends desu. If you buy a cheap city car, it's much more convenient to go for a new one. I have seen price differences of mere 1K between a 20.000 and a 0 miles car.
Also, if you don't know anything about how to fix and mantain a car, it's better to just save more for a new car, or else you might get scammed if you buy an used car.

Drive my 2014 Clio diesel to work, takes about 10 min then i grab a company car for where I need to go. Keep it in a garage so i don't have to scrape frost and snow of it 7 FUCKING MONTHS OF THE YEAR, low fuel consumption because diesel, and low tax because particle filter and environmentally "friendly"

Some idiot tried crossing the street without warning, there is literally no way to prevent it other than driving at moderate speed (which i was).
It was the idiot right behind me who didn't notice that the car in front stopped and rammed at full speed. And this isn't the worst i have seen other drivers do, at one occasion some idiot overtook me by using the sidewalk.

I used to take the bus home from university, the distance is only 9.5km but I would take 1-4 hours to get home every day, mostly because of waiting for buses. I ended up getting a car and now I can go to and from uni in 20-30 mins tops
