Jimmy John's Customer Appreciation Day

Who else got a $1 Jimmy John's sandwich today? Pic related, the Vito.

Good sandwich, not great. I would say it's not actually worth much more than $1

I don't wanna give the employees any more stress on days like this. Yea I'm a socialist cuck, oh well

They chose to work there.

At the location I went to they were having a great time behind the counter, laughing and joking while cranking out sandwiches. And I went during peak time when the line was out the door. I was in and out in 10-15 minutes.

It's customer appreciation day user. They want you to come in today of all days

Why are you shilling for shitty-johns on a cooking board?

JJ's subs are literal trash tier, and it's telling they can sell a sub for $1 without taking too much loss.

Worked the line today at my store's CAD.
Was pretty fun. We we're prepped well ahead of time, we had competent employees, and the crown was in a good mood.

Shit had me beat though.

I know. I hate these publicity stunts like this much.

Haha we love our customers so much come get 90% off our signature product!!! Only valid this day during 12:45 to 12:50

just like those syrians chose to get bombed

Didn't get a sandwich, but there is a Jimmy Johns next to my work that had a line around the corner all day. One of my coworkers went, and was told they had had 1700 customers today (as of 3pm) Thar's probably tripled their daily volume. I didn't see it advertised that much, but it dea'finitely got people in the doors. They probably come close to covering food costs a one dollar sandwich. pretty successful promotion imo

Subs are meh and selection is meager as fuck

So fucking plain it hurts

>Shitty bread
>Shitty lettuce
>no condiments

That sandwich looks so fucking sad that somebody should write a eulogy for it.

I got jimmy johns free once, I know why it was free. I'll take eegees please, better yet I'll take none of the above and make my own sandwich.

Same, today was my first one. I wasn't there for long because I had class, but within 90 minutes of it starting we were already over 350 orders. Overall it was fun though. Nothing brings the employees closer than massive hordes of people swarming for mediocre sandwiches.

Same. Never worked a CAD before it. Heard a lot of stories about how bad it could get, but I was pleasantly surprised.

We're not a terribly busy store throughout the year, but we sold 1500 sandwiches by noon and ended at a little over 4600.

JJ is not bad, it's just a different vibe. between them, subway and firehouse i'm going firehouse, but I don't want a fully cooked hot sandwhich all the time.

i worked there today and hooked my employees up with free pizza. suck it jimmy

also we werent participating and had expressed it to everyone that bothered to call in ahead of time. so many people were accusing us of fraud and false advertising. its disheartening how mean people can be about dollar sandwiches.

how many make lines and staff do you guys run?

About 7 staff and maybe 4 or 5 make lines depending on how the crown's feeling.

Who the fuck calls ahead for fastfood. Your owner is shitty for not participating and all the customers were right to be pissed that the store wasn't participating in a national campaign. Thats the whole point of a chain

literally all subs are
>lettuce
>tomato
>lettuce
>turkey/ham
>provolone
>so much mayo
my mom brings them to me sometimes and they're fine for being free to me. goddamned if i'd pay for one

oh yeah and at my old work they'd bring in a tray of them to win people over every month or two. i'd eat those too.

>bitches about the mediocrity of the subs
>happily eats them without a flying fuck

Which Wich > Jersey Mike's > Stuffy's > Blimpie > Jimmy John's > Subway

>like i said
....
i paid zero moneys for this sustenance

Firehouse > Penn Station > Publix > all the shit you just named

we literally had a transition in ownership this week and our gm is at corporate training. we are a smaller store that runs two make lines and we are already understaffed as is. you dont know our store and staff. get fucked we did alright/

Forgot about Penn station, there's one around the corner from me. That's def. At the top.

2 lines, no drive through. Usually 5 staff on any given day.

Our whole franchise is dealing with understaffed stores.

Why the fuck should the customer or anyone else give a shit about how poorly run your store is?

our store isnt poorly run.

i remember the lines on the 2 for 1 sub day at subway
i get the first people to come but why does someone stay in line with 60 other people in front? i always picture them as homeless people who couldnt possibly afford warm food otherwise

Does Jimmy John's really deliver very quickly? Or just at average speeds?

Average honestly.
The "key" to quick delivery is corporate's small and ever changing delivery zones. They make them small so the braindead drivers don't have to go too far and get lost.

They're pretty good drunk food tho

>explains how it is poorly run and understaffed
>i-its not p-poorly managed!

Why even bother defending the fast food business you work for? Is it because the franchisee owner is your older cousin that scored you the job?

That is one of blandest-looking submarine sandwiches I have ever seen.
You're damn fucking right JJ's delivers because I wouldn't pry my ass outta my seat for that garbage.

we average 4 out the door and 15 mins there and back on my night shifts

You're the one saying his store's poorly run because those chose not to give their sandwiches away for $1.

Goddamn, can you be anymore of a faggot?

>That is one of blandest-looking submarine sandwiches I have ever seen.

i.e. s typical Jimmy John's sandwich

>small delivery zones
I tried to order from one that was like a five minute drive away and they wouldn't even deliver.

Fuck them.

Canadian so the worst subs we get are Subway I suppose.

because everyone that works that works their asses off and they are trying to use that job to get somewhere better in life.you are a fucking faggot.

it isnt poorly run. it is understaffed

Yea, that happens. What's even worse is that the area changes without warning, so one day you could be in, and the next you're out.

Fuck, we don't even deliver to buildings that are connected to places in our zone if they're not IN the zone.

>Im a good hard worker unlike you
>FAGGOT!! X)
>implying this means competent management

You'll grow up one day

Was thinking about it.
But I felt that there'd be too many people so didn't want to waste my lunch break waiting in line to save $5

Jimmy John's is notably worse than Subway.

why do you need to apply your own mustard?

i just don't get it, it's the only thing that makes jimmy johns palatable.

>only deliver places 7 mins away

Fuck you have it easy. I deliver pizzas and if you have to go to the edge of our zone you'll be gone for 40 minutes

No, nowhere is worse than Jimmy Johns

Its Subway < Jimmy John's

>Huge national promotion
>Lines out the door at every Jimmy John's in the country
>Become known as the cheap shitty store that didn't participate
>Switching owners because of already existing problems

I'll be shocked if that franchisee still has a store within a year, no business sense and instead of trying to turn around the sinking ship he made it worse by giving a big fuck you to a huge number of potential new customers

firehouse >= jersey mikes > eegees > jimmy johns >>> subway

>His ranking ends with a chain
Shitty flyover state dweller detected

>trying to turn around the sinking shi
the owners selling the store have doubled sales of the previous ownership. we score 90s consistently on our corporate audits. our store is not even close to being at risk to being taken from us by corporate. most of the people at these dollar sub day events dont come back.

They're all chains dumbass

What do you expect from a $1 sandwich? $12 dollar quality? You think a company is gonna put effort into a $1 sandwich? How entitled are you, American?

literally nothing is worse than Jimmy Johns

god damn you guys
JJs isnt that bad in a pinch
just get the number 9 with peppers

>Thinking a chain offers the best of anything

Are you the owner of the shitty store no one wants to go to? I hope so because if you care this much and you're a just a piece of shit sandwich artist I feel really bad for your parents

>hey our owner doesnt want to do 1 dollar sandwich day
>HURR DURR UR STORE SUCKS AND THEY SHOULD TAKE THE FRANCHISE AWAY
>no dude our store is actually pretty good we all work hard and have fun and generally get along
>HURR FUCK U STOP CARING SO MUCH ABOUT UR JOB U PROBABLY JUST MAKE MINIMUM WAGE ANYWAY

dude you assume too much. i make a decent wage, get some profit sharing and could make this a legitimate career if i didn't just finish up my degree.

>dad I'm telling you, theyre not getting how legitimate working with Jimmy John's is!
>it's okay, just tell the benefits of working within an established and stable restaurant model. Keep it civil this time okay son

I would think they're eating a loss to advertise and get people to come back, they probably wouldn't make worse sandwiches for the deal.

Its funny because literally the only good thing about working with a chain is the national advertising and they ruined that

Firehouse isn't great desu
Had it twice both times the sandwich was decent but it was like $8.50 for a 6inch sandwich
Isn't they're deal supposed to be filling subs for big strong firemen? Shit couldn't fill up a child

Old people fucking love free stuff m8, who are you trying to fool?

>Old dumb people
ftfy
People learn how much money their time is worth
And $4 is not worth wasting an hour in line

you must be a load of fun at parties
this is how you make connections. you see the people around you in line? they're people who can help you out some day. meet somebody, get invited to parties, jeez.

haha so troo!

plus you already have a great common interest, $1 sandwiches!

Can u please be my friend

Only thing from them I like is the beef & cheddar. And only when I'm not paying.
They're like $10.50 here for the foootlong

Their "deal" is that they were founded by firemen and portions of their money go to families of firemen who died in the line of duty.

>hearing that goddamn jimmy john's commercial come on tv for the fifth time today

I got a few of them
Lots of black people arguing with the employees how they couldn't get the most expensive sub for $1

You got a few of them? They limited it to one per customer. Unless you went to multiple stores or the same store multiple times, I call bullshit

As long as you went to the back of the line when ordering another one
the Jimmy John I went to didn't care

I delivered 60ish sandwiches for catering but got stuck on the line wrapping due to a call in/lack of deliveries (people would rather walk for 5 minutes for a 1 dollar sandwich, good for you America!). Wasn't a bad day. People were fun and being at the end of line I got to talk with a bunch of folks.

JJs is shit tier food for the record.
