Therapy thread for crypto-millionaires

I've made a total of 1.7MM in under a year, having cashed out 350k so far. My life style hasn't changed, but I did quit working 6 months ago.

I am sort of depressed. Definitely happy because I have zero financial stress in my life (no mortgage, no student loans/debt, etc). I've been looking into charity work and have been taking painting lessons, but I know I'm not going to become a painter because that's fucking gay. I have no real hobbies besides drinking with my friends and playing video games, and sometimes photography.

What the fuck do I do with my life? I'm 31.

What coin made you a millionaire? How much did you invest in?

travel the world

Just push yourself to get better at your hobbies. Quit video games. Buy some rental buildings and manage them. Get a dog and take him hiking

I always had fun doing martial arts. Which also gave me a reason to pick up jogging.

Just do whatever you find fun. But preferably something that also involves other people.

Listen, you're depressed because you got something that you didn't work hard for, no blood, no sweat. It came too easy without any suffering. its like being a kid with bad grades, but you still get the reward.

If I were you I'd get the best healthcare and get checked for whatever diseases are out there regularly, since your body is your most important asset.

I'll give some thoughts but I would really appreciate your favorite coin list in return

Rent a cabin in the woods, no phone or internet. Chop down trees for the fire and shit. Read books and unplug for a while.

Get a sailboat and go around the Caribbean or down the western coast of mexico

Get lessons in something you like. I would do electronic music production. Sounds like you enjoy painting, or art in general. Why not visit a central hub of art (Berlin is trendy, Paris is classic) and live there as a hobo for a month?

At 31 I would be looking for a long term girlfriend. Check out those painting groups.

Good luck user.

also word of advice help a fellow biz poorfags by donating to them, you will actually feel you did some good in this world

wait for spacex and then go to mars to become part of the new world?

What did you do for a living, OP? where you a wagecuck?

>read
>pursue deeper meditations
>learn an instrument
>train martial arts
>lift more
>garden
>travel
>build a work shop
>build things
>play sports
>fuck women
>get good at things

so much to do

>What the fuck do I do with my life?
how da fuq do we know, that's for you to figure out. i did a professional assignment (kind of like peace corps) at 26 and started a family at 29.
anything that can keep you busy and active is good
yea send me some free eth

I always had 4-8 coins rotating. Just kept selling and buying different coins. Do research, it pays.

Thanks but the thing is that I feel it's a spiritual emptiness. I do go out and do things with friends, experience new things, and travel, but everything seems so "basic" now.

Yeah, I think it might have something to do with this. My parents were upper-middle class and they worked their entire lives for what they had.

Donate to a Veeky Forumstard that got just'd hard the past 2 months. You will literally be the light that shines in my darkness

you can start by watching both of the wet hot american summer sequels on netflix

it's kind of hard, knowing how they're all like 10 years older. Doesn't sell the youthful nostalgia anymore.

jfl. first of all 1.7mm is not that much and secondly you are a faggot

fuck off you fucking faggot, dont you have any shame

I'm 31 myself and I can't understand people like you. The kids who luck into money, sure, but haven't you figured out who you are and what is it you like? Once I get to your levels of money, first thing I'm going to book a plane ticket to the US, rent a car and travel for a month or two through the whole country. Then it's going to be buy a cheapass property (I'm talking ruins, something rural for 10-20k) I can renovate with my own two hands. Then just hang out in hot spots and throw 5k here, 10k there into projects I find worth investing in. Not as a cuck ICO type of thing, I'm talking on the local level. Really, getting your first million is the entry ticket, the fun part begins after that.

>first of all 1.7mm is not that much
>meanwhile in reality, I earn 2600 a month
>so I only need to wagecuck 54 years to earn it
>oh wait, I also have to pay taxes. Make it 75 years.

Fuck ladyboys

fucking this kek.

1.7 million is rich-tier.

5+ million is wealthy-tier.

10+ million is elite-tier

Ok sure, but not everyone is like you. I grew up in NYC, and I'm addicted to big city stimulus (I live in LA now)

Yeah, so tired of 14 year old fags on biz saying that 1 or 2MM is nothing

Travel the world man, trust

Tai-Chi. everything i learned from here is far more valuable than these silly coins

So you're me but with money?
user srsly you can do anything, don't act like a poorfag, you're insulting me

youtube.com/watch?v=KAExa9P7hME

1.7 isnt' making it mate. You seem to think you're all set now. You aren't.

You should be researching/working 24/7 to 2X that shit at least 3 times

$1.7M is enough to retire in most countries. I'm not sure about US, but even there it should be enough to live through most of his life.

I doubt that's true though...
Especially if you want to take inflation into account.

the interest is merely enough to live a lower middle class life

Nice list my man

Make memories with your money. That's the best value, you'll get the most out of that than most tangible things.

But what do I know, I'm only 18 studying for calc :^)

Not necessarily true. I come from a family of ignorant poor people who will never progress in life culturally, intellectually, or fiscally. I've finally gotten to a point where I'm making it, and feel just as depressed/anxious as always. Yeah the financial burdens are no longer there, really, but the amount of suffering you endure to reach fin independence has no bearing on emotional health.

help a fellow poorfag

I think I need to find love.

I've been seeing a lot of hookers.... I'm sort of opening up a bit because I'm sipping on nice whiskey.

Hookers kind of distort my view on relationships. I don't care about pursuing women as much because I can call a beautiful woman (who I've built a connection with through repeated visits) to do whatever I want. Sometimes they even stay an extra couple of hours and we watch a movie. It's honestly kind of weird. The high end ones can turn into a FWB type situation (except you pay, obviously).

Fuck...

Pathetic. If you don't have any aspiration at all (fucking moron, you could open a gallery, support other artists because god knows they can't afford to eat) do something to ease some of the pain in the world and do that charity work.
If your life is so meaningless then use it to give meaning to other people.

And if you're unwilling to give it away, think about why that is. Because you don't have as much as you thought once you have your nice house and car? Maybe you do need to work...?

Just answer this; would the hookers be with you if the money wasn't there? No.
So what do you have to offer to women apart from money?

Some of them would. I've ended up dating a hooker before.

The girls I see aren't fat black street walkers, they charge between 750-1500 an hour. Many of them are actually girls who just live life a bit differently, and I'm fit and somewhat attractive and I live in a nice condo in a nice area. You never know who you end up connecting with.

even hookers dream of a better life, decent man, kids, etc..

>Fuck ladyboys
So OP should go to Thailand then?

To a person who's dependend on wage work it's the most significant amount of money to acquire in life.

That's good then, so what's the problem? What's not working for you?

well, i WAS a millionaire
then Bitgrail happened

For the case you're not LARPing: It's all your fault.

When I make it I am going to do volunteer archeology work.

Look around you: there's plenty to do. chasing meaningless pleasures which won't make you happy no matter what biz says. Ask yourself why most lottery winners are right back where they were or worse within a year of winning. Past a point of avoiding being foreclosed on and paying your bills, having money doesn't do much for happiness. It just amplifies whatever your personality is. If you've got a destructive personality watch out. So here's what you do: instead of searching out meaninglessness pleasure, search out meaningful responsibility. Look for ways to make things better. Start with yourself. Ask yourself what needs to be done around your house or what you've been doing wrong. Your mind will give up a big list. Do that for a year. Then by small increments you'll be in such a hugely advanced state from where you were the year prior that maybe you can shoulder more responsibility and help out your family (not financially--). Then ask yourself what you can fix in your community. If your friends don't like that you're not a party retard anymore, forget em. That's tough but user theres plenty to do. Don't be a bitch the rest of your life. Come join adulthood. It is awesome in a lot of ways.

My dream is to start a film company. Not a videography house for weddings and ads, but a house that makes feature films on its own terms. I'd need a lot more than 1.7 million in the scheme of things.

Enjoy yourself. You need to know there are people who would be spiritually fulfilled in the same position.

And get some kids.

I guess I just thought my life would be different. Maybe that I would have been a braver person. My life is ok and I'm grateful, it's just not what I thought. I'm complaining about nothing

i'm literally in the same position except i don't have that much cashed out only 30% and i'm 26.
>unemployeed since 3 months
>no debt
>unemployment benefits at 80% of my last yearly income
>get a job @ 40-60%, so only working on a tuesday/wednesday/thursday optional.
it's still wagecucking but imho it improves life, you still have 4-5 day weekends.

>And get some kids.
One has to be very cautious to do that. Taking time to find the right wife & having an escape plan as backup for the case it doesn't work out.

Man, the more I read this the more annoyed I get. I get that you're depressed. But seriously. The things you could do

go to france and stay in a 5 star hotel
travel in a 1st car train carriage
climb mt fuji
see the aurora borealis
go to antarctica
see ten movies in gold class

you have possibilities that 99.999% of this world never will and you're complaining that your single hobby is "gay"? Grow the fuck up.

For me, I'll spend a lot of time pursuing my artistic passions. You shouldn't shoebox yourself with labels. You don't need to be a painter but if it makes you happy and gives satisfaction painting or photography, just go hard into it. I'm sure there's a lot to explore there.

I think travel is overrated, it's fun but a person needs something more sustainable.

This is what you need OP. It may seem retarded, it can really change your life. Move out of the city and buy some land. Build a house, start from scratch, make it a goddamn paradise. You have the money and you have the time. One morning you'll wake up, step out of the house, the sun will hit your face and you will see. The plants will be growing, the house will stood strong and your children will be playing in the backyard. And you will know you made it, because that is what we do. Where there is nothing we build something and without that something we are empty.
Remember having money is not making it, money is only means to an end.
Now go out there and build something!

fuck, forgot pic

It won't work out if you come into marriage keeping an exit plan in mind. When you're married, getting divorced should not be an option in your mind barring very very very VERY horrible and harsh circumstances.

Vipassana or zen retreat. Thank me later

I agree with this. You need to be 100% sure that the woman you're marrying is ride or die.

If you don't like pointless adventures, then why don't you go explore Nepal with a group of biologists in search for new antibiotics? Or go toNorth and observe bird migrations. Or go fishing with true fishermen one season?

Guys like you will get cucked and have half their shit taken because they put a bitch's name on all their paperwork thinking that everything is gonna be sunshine and rainbows happily ever after.

gtfo, roastie

Get a dog and train it to do all sorts of things, that’s what gives me some satisfaction

You never really can even if you set your standards very high.

this

>I'm addicted to big city stimulus
>I am sort of depressed
You ever stopped and wonder that living surrounded by concrete, shitty air, trash, noise and strangers you don't know is making you depressed?

I smell roastie

perfect

I think they're incredibly rare, but I wouldn't marry any woman that doesn't meet that standard. If it means I'll only have temporary girlfriends, so be it.

You should really try to educate yourself about what makes you happy - or what happniness means. There are many approaches, but first of all you need to understand your values, childhood traumas, expectations from your parents (also uncouncious ones).. seems like you live a pretty normie life without any risks to get happy besides your crypto gains..

Hope this helps somehow, your still young enough ;)

OP, you have the syptoms of depression my friend. making a thread on biz/ telling people that you are rich and you feel empty and bad will only make people jealous. They will insult you and advise you to do what they dream to do if they were rich. This won't help you at all, mate.

You need to see a doctor, or talk to a specialist. I bet you would feel way better.
Trust me im in med school.

Tits or gtfo

Nigga the withdraw limits came instantly and with zero prior notice. There's no way anyone could've known.

Mayne, do something to give back to someone who needs it. I'm not talking about this bullshit give me money whoring, I mean go help out a local sports team. Coach. Talk to kids who ain't got shit and let them know there's hope. Giving back is the easiest way to nourish your spiritual side. Real proper giving with no expectation of return is rewarding.

You want hard tier? Go study something which gives back, then do it. Study law and be the motherfucker who punches bullies and wrongdoers in the fucken mouth. Speak for those who can't speak for themselves.

And fuck it, if you don't like people, I don't blame you - go help out at an animal shelter man. And if you don't like animals, fuck you, you're a prick.

Be happy OP you realized one of the characteristics of existence, namely, suffering or insatisfaction. I recommend pursuing insight meditation aka Vipassana to gradually come out of it.

Travel around the world and find your best place.

Lot of people on biz think traveling is a meme but if OP is into photography and stuff, could be a good idea. If I were suddenly a multi-millionaire I'd at least travel some.

topics like this pop up every week
success depression is real
a lot of people told me once they have kids all that shit with meaning clicks in place
you're not a man yet rly, at 31. #1 thing you need to do is separate your wealth from this feeling, ensure that is still there growing when you're 40, 50, 60+. other than that you know as much as the rest of us.

This guy is right.

Interest is low around 3% max. You need to be getting 6+% a year in growth minimum. 1.7m isn't a lot of money if you plan on living in western countries it will only get you middle class. Don't forget your income being taxed. You'd want to invest everything do not buy a car or house for cash. The mortgage interest rate is low maybe 4%(?) while you can earn 6%+ on that money instead so you're still 2% up.

If you are content with that then go enjoy life, find a spouse and start a family after you've travelled around.

And guys like you will remove the possibility from yourselves of having a true marriage-- Too bad, but you're the only one to blame. So keep up the "don't trust no bitch and don't give em an inch" persona and live your miserable life alone or with hookers.
Married with two kids btw

That is because most of Veeky Forums comes from burgerland and have been indoctrinated. Your government don't want you to realize how you could live better elsewhere and lose your taxes.

That happens when people have money as an objective, not as a tool for something else.

The fact that you think that $1700000 is not a lot of money shows how much you need to learn about the world. You can easily get 6%/y above inflation which is more than enough to do whatever that you want as long as you have not been brainwashed into thinking that lambos and $2000 hookers are things to strive for.

There's no pool

Pool's closed.

Yeah I'm a fucking burger too but makes sense. I can only travel like a poorfag at the moment but it's usually still a good time

Thoughts on Link?

Same boat OP. I have around half a milli with 250k more still in crypto. I can retire in my country but there's so much out there I want to see and do.

Most important thing right now for us is to generate passive income. Then think about adventures like travellig to Mt.Olympus and banging Aphrodite herself.

While I find your advice solid, I struggle with finding out what I‘ve been soing wrong. I can‘t get a grasp on it

>you need to understand your values, childhood traumas, expectations from your parents (also uncouncious ones)..
But how do you go about this? I never have a clear grasp on stuff like that

Open a business. Not one of these "it's gonna make me a millionaire" business but something you can feel proud of. Something that keeps you busy, stimulates you. Just a simple "bar" going on margin is fine.

Mate where I live an upper middle class home is just over a million. Yes you could move more rural or to smaller city but then I feel you are sacrificing things like good shops, good schools etc.

1.7m is a lot of money but unless you are going to move to a Third World country or live in a rural town and sacrifice things like great shops, entertainment opportunities and possibly education then it isn't enough.

1.7m x 6% is 102k after tax lets say 30% it's 71k.

>Mortgage going to be 45k principal and interest maybe 5-10k more
>Car 10k a year fuel service etc
>Food 21k a year for two people $400 a week taking into account eating out once or twice a week
>10k other expenses like bills, medical
>15k holidays this is for 2-3 times a year

You're at a 25k loss each year. My goal is 1.5m+ and invest it all then start my own business working when I want earning 50k a year minimum hopefully so I can have the above green text.

this (y)

Don't look for big things. Start small. Compare yourself only to your yesterday's self. Incremental advancements --from regulating your sleep to your eating habits and keeping your place clean-- will yield more energy and give you the opportunity to see more. Step by step. And you will have more meaning as each day goes by, and things will present themselves to you for you to fix.

>where I live an upper middle class home is just over a million
Why are you buying shit instead of renting?

>good shops
Who the fuck cares about those in an age of e-commerce?

>good schools
Why you would send children to those archaic institutions when poor people with $50 tablets can educate their children better for almost nothing?

>Third World country
Sweden is part of the third world. You should not use concepts that you don't understand, it makes you sound dumb.

>things like great shops
Are you a girl? I am sorry, but I can't see a male thinking this way.

>after tax lets say 30%
You are never going to make it thinking this way. I don't want to be rude, but you will be stuck forever in the rat race, at least until you take the time to read about personal finances and to understand the world where you live in.

>Been in crypto since 2014, although I only started with $2k worth of LTC
>Shot in more fiat in 2015
>Sat on LTC/Monero for a good while
>Bought into Ethereum pre-$10

You'll undoubtedly claim larp. People always do. But I've cashed out about $5M. Paid off my parents mortgage, bought myself a house and bought my brother a house. I still have an $800k folio of shitcoins because crypto is a lifestyle and I'm never leaving.

Why would you buy your brother a house?

Because we spent 18 years living in a tiny fucking room together. Spending 1/20th of my net worth to make sure he doesn't have to drown in debt to afford a home seemed reasonable. He never asked for it, though.

larp, that means you paid more than 3.7MM in taxes.

>Everyone taxes to the US, no matter where they live

Charity is for rich cunts trying to avoid taxes. If you want to actually do good in the world, open your own business, hire competent people and make it so your business actually adds something to society.

eg don't start an art gallery for rich cunts, start a growshop that provides MMJ accessibility to poor folks or some shit
