General question, is it considered normal if this many people may be working on the project and aren't listing it at all because of NDA? What's the benefit in that if ChainLink is currently closed source? Is it to prevent sabotage and/or competition?

Because of copycats etc. When Chainlink opens up source code they will have partnerships and first mover advantage. It is another reason to be long Chainlink!
