Take a look at what gives a cryptocurrency TRUE value. It would be
1. the size of the network
i.e how many people are mining it/ how many nodes the network has generated
2.Adoption
i.e how many exchanges offer bitcoin trading with fiat and pairing with alts

any other shiny bell or whistle used to excite people is worthless. Absolutely worthless. If you cannot see this then you will be left behind in 2018. Mark my words.

Isn't reading a "dip" technically using an indicator? It's a series of candlesticks that you use to compare past performance to wishy-washy future positions that could literally be anywhere despite trends.

I've always thought of "technical analysis" as using indicators like RSI, Bollinger Bands, Fibonacci retracement, and EMA that are some kind of derivative of the price/volume action rather than the action itself. When I say I don't use TA, I mean to say I only go on what is directly on the chart rather than a mathematically derived number based on the chart. Others may disagree and that's cool.
The reason I don't use meme lines is I have literally gone back a few days on a chart and drawn random lines then went forward and those lines fall on apparently specific pivot points just as good as moving averages and fib retracement does. That told me everything I needed to know and I've been much more successful at trading once I left that stuff behind. YMMV
