Well, take a look at XRP and XLM, both of these coins are centralized to the core! I am not very smart, but the lightbulb went on just how powerful crypto currency is after my shit show experience pulling $$ out of an IRA .
I decided to pull some money out of a IRA to invest in some alt coins. In order to do that I had to put in a trade order, wait over the weekend for the exchange to open on Monday, have my trade executed and pay a crappy high fee for that privilege. Then I had to fax a distribution form to the bank, yes I said fax. Who the hell uses a fax machine anymore.
I screwed up the form with my shitty handwriting and they rejected it, now 4 days later I sit here at a bank branch to talk with a banker so they can cut me a cashiers check (which they will probably charge a fee for). Long story short, took over a week to get some money out of an IRA, paid fees all along the way and inconvenient as hell. Moving some crypto back and forth instead is cheap and fast, the banking industry is so fucked.
To top it all off, using crypto as a currency is only one small portion of what it can be used for. The sky is the limit, going to change the world!!!! I know most figured this out already but an idiot like me figuring it out tells you it’s legit.
