Made a new bank account in South Korea today

>Made a new bank account in South Korea today
>Had to sign a form that said "I will not possess, trade, or benefit from the sale of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies in any way and I understand that if found to have done so Woori Bank has the full legal authority to confiscate all funds from this account."
>Localbitcoins and every other P2P selling method is shit and barely has any buyers in this country

I hold like 20 Bitcoins and I literally, without any jokes or memes, cannot legally cash out.

Please show redacted form sirs

Just give them to me then

I thought it was a meme but now I finally get why South Koreans are so fucking paranoid about their banking.
>Why do you want to open an account sir?
>You say you work at X Company? Hold on I'm going to call them and check right now.
>I see you've indicated your wife as your second point of contact. I'll call her right now to inquire about your background. Please wait a moment.
>Now I'll just need you to go get your employers to sign this statement regarding your salary so we make sure it matches the amount of money we receive
Like holy fucking shit I hate this government.

Then move to North Korea

people who claim this is against money laundering, are delusional.
it's all about keeping you in your (socio-economic) place.

>we can't all be rich, right, (((guys)))?

I keep trying to explain this to Koreans but they don't get it.
>You have to throw away your garbage in special government-provided plastic bags by law
>Each bag costs about $7.00 each
>Koreans actually get mad when you question this.

are you even allowed cash?

Why the fuck are you in South Korea. I thought everyone knew it was almost as much of a dictatorship as the north.

You know you are legally not allowed to play video games past a certain time of night, and also can't play them for a certain amount of hours in a row during the day.

Korea is the only asian nation I fucking hate. Literally a shithole both north and south. Fuckers better loosen up the crypto laws so ICX can take off though. At least I only lightly invested in that.

How do you have 20btc on the salary of a hagwon worker?

It's a mostly cash society and they don't even have checks. I work here and have legitimate reasons to open bank accounts but it's hilarious seeing them in a panic about Bitcoin and crypto without directly wanting to talk much about it, except for that one form I had to sign. It's like a feeling that the memes and crypto I loved for years are now real and affecting me in the real world.

I still look at this shit like Runescape money. It's really funny for some reason.

I woke up this morning and fucking Veeky Forums was blocked as a "porn website," all boards including Veeky Forums, when it wasn't last night. I can use a VPN but still, jesus fuck I hate this government.

I started with just $3,000 but learned to trade instead of listening to fucking Veeky Forums back in 2016. Also I don't work in a fucking 학원.

As I said, why are you there? You are either a winter Olympian or a marine, or maybe some retard who took a holiday.

How the fuck do the Marines get off over there on their deployments when porn is blocked? I can't believe porn is illegal in Korea.

Care to share how you trade?

Wtf i hate korea now

Bullshit
Saged

Bitcoin center in Itaewon will buy your bitcoins.
>what is localbitcoins
dumbass.

I live and work here and I actually love the country. That's why. I just fucking hate its government beyond reason, but for someone as wealthy me the actual quality of living is great. Everything is convenient, lively, and all service is generally good service. This is the most cucked nation on earth though. And pretty much every other foreigner I see here makes me want to vomit.

It probably wouldn't help you now though, and I don't mean that as an insult. I bought ETH when it was somewhere under $10 and basically just traded it on the daily RSI and that worked, for the most part. I did things similarly with BTC Basically just reading up on major indicators and using those works well enough for the most part actually. Also I thought 2017 would be the last year of great ICOs so I bought into what I could that I liked or bought it immediately at the exchanges, including ICX, KNC, BAT, LINK, ANT (Aragon), and made a huge percentage of my stack from just ELIX.

God I hope someday to be rich enough to curbstomp a fucking kike banker.

>woori
>not using KEB
what a cuck.

Move to Japan OP

>being the citizen of a meme country

Too late now I'm fluent.
Bank transfers take like 10 minutes here so I may as well open one there too.

The tax for dealing with waste is factored into the price of the trashbag. It's genius in it's convenience and doesn't allow you to delude yourself that the things you don don't have consequences.

Koreans are one of the highest iq nations on earth. It's more likely that it is you that don't get it.

I've been here for a long time. I do get it.
My point is this: Koreans' fear of breaking the law is palpable in a way Americans' is not. The idea of "this is my right as a citizen and the government can fuck off for interfering with it" is completely lost on Koreans. I love this country, I really do and I understand what you're saying. Please pardon some of the exaggerations I've made in this thread, but my point is what I said above here.

They have such a high iq that most of them spend their time and money in cosmetic banalities that unsuccessfully cover their insecurities

Reminder that koreans think that sleeping with a fan blowing on you will kill you.

>The idea of "this is my right as a citizen and the government can fuck off for interfering with it" is completely lost on Koreans.

To be honest that is almost a uniquely American mindset though unfortunately. I live in Australia and I wish that was a common mindset herre. But no, people here are happy to let the government just walk all over them "because the laws are there to keep people safe".

I literally had an argument with someone today about how airsoft should be legal in Australia. And she said no way should airsoft be legal, and she was glad they were illegal as it would be too dangerous and people would use them to rob banks and stores. And when I explained they are literally considered toys and have bright orange markers on the end of the barrel to distinguish from real guns, she just said then criminals would paint their real guns barrels orange and make everything think it was airsoft and would go around murdering people.

Can't argue with government loving retards man. They will worship the state no matter what.

As soon as Link really takes off I am using the money to get out of this shithole and move to the USA.

>make everything think it was airsoft and would go around murdering people

also, fuck off we're full

I'm white, I don't need permission to come over, just money thanks.

You'll bring your backwards liberal ideologies here. They've been ingrained into you since you were a child. kindly fuck off, we're full.

>she just said then criminals would paint their real guns barrels orange and make everything think it was airsoft and would go around murdering people.
does he also paint the bullets white? What about the sound?

Nah I was raised on American media by a father who loves the USA and always taught me how fucking great it was, even learned a lot of your history. I hate the leftist freedom hating shits in Australia. Everything about America I already love, it's like I was meant to be born there. I'm a right libertarian and those literally don't even exist in my nation as a party, best I can hope for is voting for left libertarian-lites, or the impotent shooters and fishers party neither of which will ever get anywhere.

I'm not staying here because I was born here. Us Anglo's have 5 nations, we should be able to freely move between them like we used too. Australia is now chink central and losing freedoms everyday and the government system is set up in a way to heavily favor the establishment and to be resistant to change, unlike the USA much better system. There is no hope for this place.

Yes the cant cash out meme is very real
However, close your account and make sure they know the reason is that you will not tolerate such bullshit from a bank that should be fucking happy to have you as a customer instead of treating you like a criminal

>not loving the government is "backwards"

lol, I guess your loyalty toward the government was completely natural and not ingrained at all

it can, it removes the oxygen floating around you!

open a bank in Democartic North Korea

Everything you've just written is utter bullshit. It takes just a few minutes to make an account at any bank in Korea provided you've got proof of ID and legal residency/alien registration.
t. guy with accounts at KB, Woori, Shinhan etc.

P.S. You can cash out your bitcoins, use your imagination dumbass

protip: flush food trash down the toilet.
also, $7? its a few cents man. the cost is cos we dont got much land fill.

>8000 krw transfer fee
>do wire transfer online
>easy one account
>english speaking support

I see. Thanks for the perspective on this.

How do Koreans buy and sell crypto if banks forbid it? Korea has one of the largest crypto volumes in the world.

Legit question The same for chinks, btw

>The idea of "this is my right as a citizen and the government can fuck off for interfering with it"
welcome to the 21th century
