Learn an on demand skill like programming or design - these don't necessarily need a degree.

You can also learn trade skills too and be an electrician, mechanic, carpenter, plumber, etc. A lot of these pay $50k+ a year, and can pay much more if you start your own company. Most people who learn a trade skill are actually doing better than the average person who's gone to college now.

I don't know how it works in your country, but in Italy we have different high schools (with different curricula) that prepare you for one career or another.
