Cooking Asparagus

What's the best way to cook Asparagus?

On the grill.

This was easy mode. Did I win something?

With heat

Sautéed with garlic.

I've been unable to make my mind up between grilling and sautéing.

Grilling gives you that nice aesthetic burn plus it heats the food unequally. That makes the taste unusual, inconsistent and perfect.

I'll try it out later tonight

soup

Depends on the type of asparagus.

Thin stalks I like with soufflé. Asparagus soufflé was part of my family's Easter lunch growing up.
Medium stalks I like roasted or pan-fried. Or blanched and served with hollandaise as a side to fish or beef.
Thick stalks, I like cut up for stir-fries or soups. Best with chicken and asparagus stir fry as well as corn and asparagus soup. Also blanched, oyster sauced and cut up with scissors.

literally cannot fuck up steaming asparagus

If you like green aspergers you should try the other types in the spectrum like white or purple

In an asparagus steamer

>steaming your asparagus instead of sauteing it

I really thought Veeky Forums knew better...

Roast it, top with some mushrooms sauteed in white wine.

Carefully

kek

Cook it in smelly pee.

>when mom's trying to catch the d

This guy gets it. Toss in some olive oil with salt, pepper, and garlic, and throw it on the grill.

Grilling is preferred but I think roasting is superior to saute.

Wow. I know unitaskers exist, but this is a whole other level.

>not lightly steaming, then sauteing with clarified butter and garlic, then drizzling just a bit of balsamic vinegar
Get your head in the game
