I have worked in academia and in haskell in particular and I'd be very wary of this project if I were you. I don't believe Ada is going to deliver anything useful any time soon.
Haskell is a tricky as hell language, very difficult to scale. when things get complex very few people are able to understand what is happening in the background.
PhD can be very clever people, but the people in academia dont usually accomplish a lot in time. Im generalizing here but they can masturbate during days of the perfect way of doing something that a programmer can do in 5 min with javascript.
They are also not used to deliver working products.
I believe anyone working in academia can see some truth in my post.

This is being run as an enterprise, not an academic project. There are several companies writing code for diff. parts of the project. Proof of stake is the holy grail of crypto, yet no prominent figure in the crypto community has EVER given praise to Cardano for their PoS idea.
In addition, Charles says in one interview that he doesn't give a shit about Cardano's market cap, yet a few minutes later, he says "I want Cardano to be the first trillion dollar market cap coin."
In addition, this coin is actually very old (few years) and was marketed as a way to retire to Japanese citizens. There has been no progress besides a fucking wallet, and why the FUCK would you open your ICO only to Japanese citizens? Think about it.
