Hello Veeky Forums, join me on my nightly grind

I play poker full time, thought it might be cool if you guys wanted to see what's involved in making a living from other people's disposable income. Pic is my stack at the moment. I started with £200 (currently +27), the black chips are £25, the reds are £5 and the light grey are £1. I'll be posting updates but feel free to ask my anything.

I've done this. played poker since I was a young boy before Texas hold em existed it was 5card draw.

miserable grinding then to get fucked on variance.

gl to you user. don't be a pussy and fuck with people by making large preflop raises and when the tight buttholes fold show your garbage.

What kind of poker should I learn?

Why is counting cards not permitted ? Wouldn't it make the game require more skill ? How do they know ?

full time 1/2 grinder
get a job you fucking idiot

thats fucking poor dude, bump it up to higher stakes

Bro just buy shit coins

I'm posting from mobile so I can't reply to multiple posts. I'll try to summarise replies in one:

I live in a medium sized city, 1/2 is the only stake that runs here so I have no choice. I transitioned from online after the games dried up. I make enough to be happy and comfortable, without having to work a menial job that I hate.

To the guy who asked what type of poker to learn, I'd recommend Pot Limit Omaha. It's incredibly soft everywhere and far from solved.

Posting here seemed to bring the run good. The queen's I picked up in OP were good for a decent pot. Current stack is 355.

PLO is for autistic retards. Stick to hold em, wayyyyy less variance.

but PLO is good for the gamboooooooooool

t. former fish who lucked out and hit 2nd in the TCOOP pokerstars PLO tourney and cashed out and never played a single game again.

plus I actually got more money than 1st since we did a 3 way deal.

Grats man, this is the reason why PLO is the future, it's so much more fun for the fish to play. How much did you cash for?

I was you one time user. I started to fucking hate it. Being around degens all day, hearing that casino slot machine music all fucking day, variance fucking you in the ass, stressed out constantly because of variance and swings, having to listen to idiots and fish talk strategy, and the list goes on. It’s alright for a bit but you will get burnt out.

46k and some change.

Poker pro checking in, get that money anons.

Grats on the 46k user, I've always dreamed of luckboxing into a big score.

I've been grinding full time for going on a decade now, I understand the comments about getting burnt out but having worked really shitty jobs in the past, I really value the freedom that playing poker brings. Thanks for the love too from the fellow user-grinders.

Unironically this. Literally learn the crypto market and take your poker bankroll and invest in good coins and icos. You will make 10000x the money you would’ve made playing poker.

OP what do i need to know going from online $1/$2 to the irl equivalant

You are thinking of Blackjack
No limit Holdem or PLO

I WONT MILLION

Games are thousand times softer and get ready for 20 hands an hour.

Even in Vegas? And good. I am too retarded to multitable anywsy

I thought the dream was dead? I got into ENG and ADA super early and I'm now just holding.

What are some good resources for a total noob who understands the game but wants to understand it at a mathematical level?

If you have any kind of winrate at online 1/2 you will absolutely destroy live poker.

As the other user said, get ready for 20 hands an hour. You don't have to bluff. Patience is the most important skill. You're essentially just waiting for fish to make mistakes.

Mathematics of poker by Bill Chen is a great resource for dipping into the math. I really enjoyed it.

>Not playing poker and getting crypto gains at the same time

>dipping into the math
Its high level stuff user.. much easier maths to learn.

Betonline.ag

Fast payouts 24 hrs, can play poker on phone, payouts available in BTC, Ltc, bch, dash, and eth. I play 1/2 NL online and 4/8 limit locally, I know I’m a limit nigger but it plays better to my autism to read the mathematics of the cards rather than play the person

Retards, 46k a success story lmao. Poker players are just sad to watch.
