I had a very small amount of BTC, not enough to make a difference, and I only bought ZCL so I could have more BTCP. This dump feels a bit bad because I could've bought lower than my entry point, but I still will get 50x the amount of BTCP I would've by just hodling BTC, so I guess I'm fine.

It was a useless shitcoin nobody knew about until its devs announced plans to fork it into a combination of zcash/BTC called Bitcoin Private. People bought it with the sole purpose of dumping their Bitcoin Private on retards at a much higher price than what they bought their ZCL at.

Now, they failed to take into account that when you fork two coins, you increase the supply, and ZCLs current supply is only 3 million coins. But BTCP will have a 20 million supply.

Even if BTCP does a 7x over night compared to ZCL's current marketcap, they'd still be stuck at the exact current price.

Oh, and of course along the way they failed to take notice that nobody outside of ZCL holders actually gives a fuck about BTCP.

The only people who gives a shit about Bitcoin Private are the ZCL holders, and their sole purpose is to find a greater fool to unload their bags on. That's a 50/50 to begin with, but when you combine it with the fact that the marketcap would have to do a 7x increase in order for them to break even at the current price, you know they have to have a room temperature IQ in order to keep holding on.
