what does Veeky Forums think of this hipster bullshit?

Tastes nasty. All flavors suck. Anyone who drinks it is fooling themselves.

I like them, the lime and orange are great.

Yeah, okay fatty.

Orange and apricot are best

Fuck off

They've actually been around forever.

They're good for when you eat too much/are too full and need to burp

Since Costco has started stocking them I've been drinking 6+ a day

I have a problem.

Nothing I'd ever buy.

I like them.

I wish there was a proper mineral sparkling water in US grocery stores. With actually minerals, INCLUDING SODIUM

I drink this though, it was on sale buy-two-get-one-free at publix last week. I got plain, lemon and lime.

It's a nu-male drink, amirite guys? XD XD XD XD

>hipster bullshit
i remember my mom ordering this shit on airplanes at LEAST 20 years ago, so kindly go fuck yourself.

it's important to note that these have no sweeteners, they're just carbonated water and a little bit of flavoring. carbonated water is fucking amazing for anyone who is trying to get away from soda but still has cravings for it -- carbonation can scratch that itch

la croix is fine but safeway (aka randalls aka tom thumb) brand is essentially the same shit for way, way, way cheaper. dasani sparkling is available in coke freestyles which is also really great.

fooling themselves about what, exactly? please elaborate because you sound like a fucking moron

That's the brand they sell at fucking Target; it's garbage bubbly water. Literally buy any other brand.

startups stockpile these like crazy

Most of it is either imported (Pelligrino, even my grandmother's grocery store in bumfuck nowhere has the regular kind and a couple of flavors in cans) or a local kind at a speciality store.

God, I wanted to say just get a Sodastream, but US tap water mostly isn't really good if I remember correctly?
If you're at home, couldn't you just get some carbonated water and let some tea soak in it for a while?
It sounds nice for on the go though, if you want to drink something else but carbonated water,
I never got why there are only drinks with 0g sugar etc. and those with 9g+ per 100ml. I'd actually like an ice tea with ~3g much more than either of the other two. At least in Germany something like that is really rare though. Even the healthier stuff like volvic with tea goes up to 5g and such.

>but US tap water mostly isn't really good if I remember correctly

It's an enormous country with wildly varying water sources and forms of water treatment, but go on and generalize about america, it's that time of night.

it mildly amuses me that hipster can be used as an adjective

That's why I said mostly and "if I remember correctly".

Germany has higher requirements for tapwater than it has for bottled water, so our standards are pretty high in that regard. Literally every household (as long as they don't have lead pipes) here could get a Sodastream and get as high quality cabonised water from the tap as he can buy at any store.

I'm sure there are places with great tapwater in the USA as well, but it may not be an option for the poster I replied to, due to the "wildly varying water sources and forms of water treatment".

Just sayin'.

It's "very low sodium" san pelligrino

yeah it all depends on where you live; some areas have fucking amazing tap water, and some people live in flint, michigan

with the sodastream and a couple of drops of flavored bitters, i could get away with drinking tap water. my dad has a cooler and gets water delivered so that would work out well, too.

still, it's nice to have a 12 pack in the fridge instead of reloading a couple of sodastream bottles over and over.

Coconut is the best flavor and anyone who says otherwise is a liar.

Never denied that it's much easier for Germany to provide this service nationwide than it is for the USA.
>flint, michigan
Holy shit, just googled it because I thought it had something to do with fracking. That's pretty fucked up.
Other than that I see what you mean. Sometimes I miss a nice 1.5L bottle that doesn't need any attention but to open the lid as well.

The saddest part is that Detroit water is relatively pretty good, so Flint switched from good quality tap water to literal shit to save a few bucks.

Fucking depressing.

Eurofag here.

I've seen jacksfilm talk about it but what is it ?

I usually go for topo chico.
The lime flavor is especially nice, and it's only flavored with lime essential oil which just gives it a subtle limey tang.
You can usually find it in the mexican or international aisle at your local grocery store.

This is what you use to make a non alcoholic mimosa

It enraged me to no end that in the sea of hipster kiwi mango, orange dragon fruit, banana strawberry sparkling drinks I can't find a fucking bottle of carbonated apple juice.

Damn, I remember my friend's mom having this stuff in the fridge back when I stayed at his house for the first time in 3rd grade, and I'm pretty sure she still drinks it.

Why did they name a drink after a porn star

>la croix
>hipster bullshit
you haven't heard of topo chico have you?

It was on the shelves before she was even born, retard.

...

Fucking THIS.
There's only one store in my neighborhood that stocks the coconut flavor, and I'm always on it like a whore on crack. The others are just okay, but the coconut is god tier.

thank you

seltzer is pretty shit tier thing to assign cultural identity to, but if you are going to pull that shit at least get it right.

>i remember my mom ordering this shit on airplanes at LEAST 20 years ago

wow so vintage

She now has her own soda?

Manzanita Sol

Find the nearest area with a significant Hispanic population, then it's all you find

I guess I wasn't the only one who thought that.

Excuse me, best flavored seltzer brand coming through.

This flavor is pretty damn good too.

To me it just tastes like every other seltzer. I just buy whatever brand is on sale that week.

I admit I bought some because of Remy but it's over-priced and not good

>apricot

Shit I'd love to try that.

Our Whole Foods stores here have a lame selection. Coconut, Lime, Grapefruit, 2-3 shitty "Curated" flavors, and Cran-Raspberry, so I obv get the CRaspberry. Berry and Mango are also good.

well shit, maybe I'll try it. Coconut seltzer sounds odd, but I guess I should try it.

Polar's strawberry is nice, and their other berry flavors are too, and the seasonals are good sometimes.

>Coconut is the best flavor and anyone who says otherwise is a liar.
High Five, so so true! I do the BOGO lacroix sales and stock up on coconut every couple of months. The curate flavors aren't so bad, the cucumber one, apple ones, are sort of refreshing. Passionfruit is alright. I adore Lime Perrier, but all but coconut is just not as good as basic plain seltzer that you squeeze your own flavoring into.

Oh, I'm craving a coconut now, need to put a couple cans in the fridge tonight.

Never tried them

...

Thank you for that recommendation, I got the H-E-B coconut one and it's the GOAT.

It's the default sparkler water at our stores fuck off

Good, but I buy the Kroger brand. $5 for an 8 pack is fairly retarded

$5 for 15 at publix

That's wonderful, but I don't live in bumfuck Florida

I wish I didn't live in bumfuck Florida.

Had nothing to do with fracking. Flint was on another water system and paying more for it. They government wanted more money to spend so they switched back to their old water system that had lead pipes. Government greed plain and simple.

What source said it was fracking? That's crazy. Must be a lot of misinformation out there.

I gave up soda years ago and switched to seltzer and since then I've had almost all types of seltzer. I buy the 24 pack of Polar variety flavors but the Canada Dry Pomegranate Cherry is the best seltzer flavor I've ever had, if you can find it.
