Sometimes when I get banned on Veeky Forums (over stupid shit usually) they'll go through and delete (almost) all of my on-topic posts as well, out of spite I guess, since they're usually helpful advice or on-topic conversations.

You have to understand that almost every single mod on every Veeky Forums board was able to get their position by gaining the favor of moot, or someone influential on the IRC.
It's not just Veeky Forums; /b/, /x/, /pol/, etc. All the big boards have moderation that is exaggeratedly 2/10 at best. The smaller boards have a higher rate of adequate moderation, by which I mean maybe 40% have mods that give a shit.
