There is no proof of aliens.

There's no disproof either. It's just like believing in God at this point.

Completely different. The existence of a God is not falsifiable and thus does not fall into the scientific realm. Aliens would be living life forms thus their existence can be falsified by their nonexistence.

yes. which means there is no proof of aliens. further discussion is irrelevant and conjecture without any existing evidence and its not-science.

The argument from ignorance is only used by people with substantially low IQs that can't comprehend honesty or separate belief from knowledge or fact.

Not true. If we eventually find a way to search the entire cosmos and find nothing, and are able to discern everything, then deductibly it's been proven.
That's what deduction is.
It would take existential deduction, and that's improbable but not hypothetically "not falsifiable"

I believe that there is life existing on other planets as we speak.

However, given that in all probability they're millions of years away at best then they don't really exist at the moment relative to ourselves, we're separated by millions of years minimum.

If the nearest life exists 100 million light years away then they live 100 million years in the future.

Of course if someone discovers a way to get wormholes/warp drives to work (probably not) then that all changes.

irrelevant, but still fun.

given universe size its certain. sapient humanlike life exists elsewhere. pretty cool knowing someone else is looking at stars besides us

entertaining the notion aliens exist doesn't require suspension of disbelief

proof of ayys

ITT: two kinds of people - those who understand statistics and those who believe in aliens

>In 2016 there are more people that believe in INFINITY than ALIENS.

What went wrong?

>not alone in the universe
>people think this means aliens
ugh

This is an 18+ website.

>MUH ALIENS EXISTS LMAOLMAOLMAO ROFLF NIGGANIGGANIGGANIGGANIGGA

If you think we're the only smart race in the universe then you're stupid

You're right, user. We have each other.

>extrapolating probabilities from a single data point
>appealing to emotion ("look how big the universe is! we jez can't be the only ones!")
>using ad hominems to denigrate the opposing point of view
ah yes, is this what you ayylium believers call science? I see

Think of it this way.

Take the possibility of alien life *somewhere* in this galaxy. Maybe you get a few million planets with life, maybe even some with intelligent life, strewn throughout the galaxy where the conditions are right.

Now scale back the sample size of our search and the number of successes, to a more recognizable area. Lets say each human being represents an independent intelligent species capable of spaceflight, and the Earth represents the entire galaxy. You have maybe a handful of people, maybe around 10 or 20, strewn all across the Earth where conditions are right for life. They are all struggling to move from where they are, and the Earth's natural cycles can often be deadly to life. It takes maybe a few centuries for any one of them to figure out how to maneuver across the Earth effectively and they've all developed in radically different settings that could alter the way they perceive the world around them immensely.

Now imagine they are all looking for each other. They've barely learned to move, they're all radically different from one another, and they've got the entire planet to search across, and there's only a handful of them. How easy do you think it would be for just one of them to find just one other?

>You mean one kind of person

easter?

Saying how big the universe is isn't appealing to emotion you neckbeard, if you find a cockroach in your house, it's likely there are others

>I say it's not so therefore it's not so
>here: a completely irrelevant comparison to show that I'm right
simple child

Of course we're not alone user. We have a whole planet to keep us company.
winrar. Albeit a little pessimistic with our capabilities.
Provide proof that you actually understand what you just said please.
