Can anyone give me a number crunch.
Tests (3) = 40%
Project: = 40%
Attendance: = 20%
I have 100 in Attendance. On the Project I got an 86. ON the first 2 test, I got an 94 and 86. What do I need to get on the last test to get a 90 overall in the class?

Okay think about it this way. If your project is 40% of your grade, then if you only did the project and got a perfect score, and got a 0 on everything else, your grade in the class would be 40%. But you didn't get a perfect score, you got 86 (out of 100) so in terms of your overall grade you secured 40*0.86% = 34.4% of your grade.

Hey, other people called him out on not being able to do 3rd grade math, I just wanted to point out the oddity of placing such importance for attendance, I mean I've never had a class where attendance counted at all for grades.

With a 87 on his last test, OP will have an average of 89, which means he'll have 35.6 points out of 40, plus the 34.4 points out of the 40 in his proyect and the 20 points he has for attendance, this equals to 34.4+35.6+20 = 90
The 77 answer meant your lowest possible grade, i.e what grade would you have if you received a 0 on your last test.

Currently you have 78.4 points accumulated out of a total of 86.66... which means you currently have 90.46 average.
You have 20 pts for attendance
You have 34.4 pts for the project
You have 24 pts for your exams
If you score a 0 on your exam you'll finish the class with a 78.4
