Hey sci

hey sci,
what is the comfiest field of mathematics?

analysis is pretty comfy

Statistics

fuck off with your autistic shit

math logic

Real numbers

Math is not meant to be comfy, you fucking brainlet.

Topology

[math]\mathbb{F}_2[/math]

commutative algebra; all you need is pencil and paper and you can relax on a couch drinking cocoa all wrapped up in a blanked and you're solving some research-level problems. Best feeling ever.

>all you need is pencil and paper
pretty sure that's the case for most of pure maths

Research

Rational Trigonometry

elementary group theory

>not [math]\mathbb{F}_1[/math]

it can be rigorous and comfortable, desu.

Theoretical machine learning. You will have 300k starting.

>field

I'd second this, sempai

get the fuck out.

statistics is the most disgusting part of math

it is more like 50% math and 50% english

Jesus I remember when I discovered this in high school, thought it was real, and tried to ask my math teacher about this.

if something doesn't require some hightech then it is proably shit

What are you in high school?

Statistics is 100% math and usually requires some pretty advanced analysis. It's one of the most useful applications of mathematics.

I hope youre kidding.

what's the deal with this guy? is his math legitimate/useful?

>legitimate?
As in, without flaws?
Yes
As in mainstream?
No
> useful?
Not really.
Its much much easier to teach highschoolers imo

Not 8062014, but statistics is pretty nasty. Or at least the application of it is.
