A lot of effort goes into making homemade pasta for a simple family dinner you dumb bastard.

I'm assuming he means making real Mac n cheese instead of using that alien goo Velveeta, you mong.

But why make mac 'n cheese from scratch if it's just a side? Seems like a waste of time.

Not that hard. If you're making that much food anyway and it seems like most of it is easy to make, then putting in a little extra effort to stop yourself from eating that garbage will probably be better in quality and your health.

It's just cheese and pasta, though. How can making it yourself possibly be healthier?
